Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

Chapter 129: Chapter 115: Iron Rooster vs. Centipede

With Gao Gong suppressing the opposing Radiation Field, a dozen Hunters managed to cut down ten thousand points of the centipede’s blood volume in just a minute.

However, if B-level Radiation Beasts were that easy to kill, there wouldn’t have been years without any hunting news before Gao Gong’s rise.

This situation is not unique to Automobile City; all fifteen Oases in the Central Desert experience the same with the Mechanical Hunters.

The Centipede General began its counterattack. Accompanied by continuous strong jet sounds, all mechanical legs’ nozzles spurted out white vapor. In an instant, thousands of white vapors erupted, blurring the air as the surrounding temperature visibly rose.

Tamil’s sense of crisis intensified and, without thinking, he rolled to the ground, just as a black shadow swept over his original position like lightning.

However, the Crawler beside him wasn’t so lucky; the shadow flashed by, and the next moment, the Crawler transformed by the Crawler was nailed alive to a tree, with a mechanical centipede foot stuck in its chest.

At the same time, Apu dexterously performed a vault, dodging the shot from the centipede foot.

Another control-flow Hunter’s pupil shrank as the mechanical foot appeared like a sharp arrow in front of him, leaving him with nowhere to hide.

Fortunately, at this moment, a blue flash bullet silhouette appeared, hitting the mechanical foot and knocking it away.

Clamp hadn’t had time to thank before hearing someone shout.

”Damn, someone got caught!”

As the high-temperature fog spread, the leaves on the ground visibly withered; normal fog couldn’t achieve this.

Within the mist, a huge black shadow climbed upward along the tree trunk, with what seemed to be a person wrapped around the head of the centipede.

The closest, Sunx Tu, was the first to react. After all, they were comrades in wine and meat for many days; there was no way he could stand by and watch them die.

Sunx Tu’s arm quickly transformed into a giant mechanical arm. He was much smarter than the Black God, who wished he was entirely weaponized, even mounting a machine gun below.

Besides its arm, Sunx Tu’s body was mainly exoskeleton, significantly reducing Mechanical Rejection.

His arm, besides transforming into a machine gun, also had another skill, the ’Jet Heavy Hammer.’

As four jet vents on his elbow spurted strong streams, Sunx Tu roared as the iron fist—capable of smashing a wall—viciously struck toward the opponent’s tail.

However, in the next moment, the mist suddenly parted, revealing an iron ball that had appeared unknowingly, densely armored on the surface. When the fist clashed with the ball, surprisingly, the one that was knocked away was Sunx Tu, weighing up to 500 pounds.

Metal fingers visibly deformed in mid-air, snapping off a few.

Iron Wall Centipede lv3 (Elite): The centipede incubates eggs, remaining motionless, creating a seamless iron wall with external armor capable of blocking rocket attacks.

The mist gradually dissipated, revealing the true form of the Centipede General, with ’Kimimaro’ wrapped around its head portion.

’Kimimaro’ wasn’t his real surname, and White Bone was merely his nickname. Contrary to his dangerous methods, he was known for his good temper.

The bone armor resulted from a random mutation.

At this moment, the Centipede General coiled like a giant python, clearly intending to kill one before dealing with the others. White Bone’s face flushed from the pressure, the biological exoskeleton creaking as cracks spread more.

”Damn!”

”Hang in there, Little White!”

”Don’t breathe! Its biological toxin has a paralyzing effect!”

Everyone lunged again, only to have an unexpected event occur.

A huge ’metal twist sound,’ the kilometer-long mechanical centipede split into two, turning into two 500-meter-long mechanical centipedes.

One centipede charged at the group, while the other accelerated its coil. The mechanical centipede’s feet thrust like daggers, quickly piercing ten blood holes into Wen Jun.

”So it really hit its limit.”

Under normal circumstances, even if these frontline Hunters managed to utterly defeat this B-level centipede, more than half of them would be casualties.

To team up for monster farming, they might have to wait for these Hunters to install ’Mechanical Modules’ and break through the Hunter profession limit of level 20; only then might they manage it.

Gao Gong did not intend to stand by any longer, instantly appearing beside the ’Centipede Ball.’

This Centipede General had intelligence even higher than humans, already guarding against Gao Gong’s ambush; its two head antennae lit up simultaneously.

An invisible electronic attack swept across a few miles.

The next moment, Gao Gong’s prosthetic eye, four micro motors, and mechanical heart all ceased to operate.

This guy’s electronic attack penetrated the ’Desert Skin,’ directly attacking Gao Gong’s mechanical body.

Fortunately, Gao Gong was prepared, and with four wings flapping, his palms did not pause as they fiercely struck the Centipede Ball.

Double-arm Dragon Slayer!

Violent air currents surged into the gaps in the Centipede Ball, inflating the closing Centipede Ball, the ’Spinal Demon Spear’ piercing in like lightning. Sparks flew as the spinal bone and centipede shell frictioned in a cascade. At the peak of the airflow, there was a vivid tugging that pulled ’Kimimaro’ out.

Seizing the chance, a powerful kick with countless jets on the thigh spouted intense streams, flipping the mechanical giant onto the ground.

”Thanks for saving me, boss,” ’Kimimaro’ landed steadily and bowed his head in gratitude.

”You’re welcome.”

’Kimimaro’ had an expression of slight shame, seemingly because such a large group couldn’t handle a B-level Radiation Beast and needed the boss to step in personally.

”No need to apologize,” Gao Gong replied without turning his head, ”Without your intervention, I wouldn’t have been able to capture enough pheromones, nor complete the targeted transformation.”
