Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

Chapter 127: Chapter 114: Three-Way Base Steal

Gao Gong glanced at Old Wolf and said, ”Then your kidney is good enough, but after this shot, you’ll have to move to the rear.”

”Uh, isn’t tonight just a test? Aren’t you guys leaving with me?” Old Wolf asked cautiously.

”I’ve changed my mind, there’s still action coming up.”

Old Wolf’s eyes suddenly enlarged as he struggled to get up, ”I’ve made contributions to the Security Corps! I’ve bled for the tribe! You can’t do this to me, I want to see the Great Elder, I want to see the Great Elder!!”

Watching Old Wolf struggling up from the stretcher, Gao Gong sneered dismissively.

Great Elder? Even if you find the Chairman, it won’t help.

After the B-level giant beast died, without the control of the beast tide’s will, most of the Radiation Beasts began to scatter, with the remaining few driven madly by the Mechanical Beast forces, engaging in a frenzied mutual slaughter.

The Crawler, Tamil, and other Hunters arrived late, just in time for this wave.

As the Crawler transformed by the Crawler lunged forward, biting off the neck of the last prey, there was no living creature left on the entire battlefield.

A total of fourteen frontline Hunters surrounded the area, each having undergone surgical transformation by Gao Gong. Some had enhanced weapons, some had enhanced systems, and some had enhanced vital points, all using the gifts of nature, no, the Security Corps, increasing their average strength by thirty percent.

Now they were all eagerly looking at Gao Gong.

”Boss, is there another hunting operation?”

Gao Gong, with arms crossed, watched the warriors dividing the remains of the ’Tree Demon Granny’ and said calmly:

”Wait.”

”Wait for what?”

”When the boss tells you to wait, you wait, why so much nonsense!”

Since missing out on the last fight, resulting in missing a piece of his arm, Crawler transformed into Gao Gong’s most loyal simp, immediately retorting angrily when he saw someone questioning.

Gao Gong said nothing but waved his hand, and someone immediately dragged over the symbiotic tree heart the size of a rock.

[You have obtained a B-level Radiation Organ, Symbiotic Tree Heart]

This thing was fought for by Gao Gong; if left unfought, it would result in a terrifying outcome. The self-destruction of a B-level Radiation Beast could take away at least a third of the people on the field.

Feeling the surging Spiritual Power in the ’tree heart’, which was very much like a ’Neural Network’.

’A good thing to strengthen the Neural System.’

It was certain that as more B-level Radiation Beasts were hunted, such treasures would increase.

The gap between Biological Energy and Mechanical Energy would only widen further.

The original ’Human Mechanization’ owner couldn’t be said to be terrible, just ordinary, leading to Biological Energy taking the upper hand and continuously widening the gap.

If you follow the Fusion Route, an imbalance could lead to big trouble!

Gao Gong made up his mind; just the ’Electromagnetic Rifle’ wasn’t enough, later he would extort a hefty sum from the Security Corps.

The top-tier Military Supply Warehouse had a lot of non-sale items.

But the problem was, was he an outsider? Clearly, he was an insider!

Gao Gong remained silent, and others didn’t dare to speak, making the scene strangely quiet for a while.

Soon, a familiar feeling arose; the remote hacking by the Legion’s hacker indeed had the Legion’s style, simple and brutal, with recklessly charging sensory code devoid of aesthetics.

’Boss,’ the speaker wasn’t White Pupa, but Huang Wen.

’Has the situation been fully investigated?’ Gao Gong asked internally.

’Those two monsters seem to really not be in the city. Of my forty drones, only seventeen were shot down, and three flew around the Crimson District without being attacked, which is the old lair of the Crimson Empress.’

’What are your thoughts?’

’There are two possibilities. The first is that they anticipated our actions and are preparing to ambush us in the Metropolitan Area, but this possibility is slim.’

’That’s right, tonight we’re just here to install sensory equipment, the main target has already been achieved.’

Gao Gong’s eyes suddenly tightened, and the terrifying pressure emanating from him made everyone shiver.

’Could it be an extreme house swap strategy?’

’No, I’ve already confirmed with Huang Yuanli that there’s no sign of Automobile City being invaded, nor the other three Oases.’

’If the Beast Tide were launched, such signs couldn’t be hidden.’

’It’s strange, if they’re not attacking the Oases, then where did they go.’

Gao Gong fell into thought.

’Even mobilizing the last two Flying Giants, surely they didn’t go to attack the Security Corps’ stronghold.’

’Boss, what now, should we withdraw according to the plan?’

’Withdraw? What for? If they can go, so can I. Since they aren’t sneaking into our homes, we’re going to sneak into theirs!’

’Keep a close watch on the four Oases, report immediately if there’s any movement.’

Gao Gong exhaled deeply, facing the others, and began to mobilize the troops.

”All the old guys go back.”

The surrounding old rogues immediately expressed dissatisfaction, with various protests.

”What use can you be in five minutes!”

Gao Gong forcefully suppressed them.

”Also, the biological troops return as well.”

Sunx Hong nodded, accepting the order succinctly.

For these people, the previous use by Demon Mountain was problematic.

Whether old rogues or biological troops, they weren’t there to deal with small minions at all.

Their destiny was dealing with bosses.

High intensity, low duration could very well keep Biological Rejection under control within a certain range.

There would be no worry about them going berserk on the battlefield.

”The rest,” Gao Gong scanned the followers under his command, ”follow me to attack the city!”

...

Nowadays, the Metropolitan Area is completely different from before, the high concentration of blackness covering everything, causing any electronic equipment entering it to malfunction, and any species other than Radiation Beasts entering it would be vastly weakened.

Already starting to show the grandeur of a future beast nest.

But since Gao Gong dared to venture deep here, he was naturally well prepared.

Two pairs of iron wings stretched to the limit, with a wingspan of up to two meters and fifty centimeters. Large amounts of flesh and blood began to cover the wings, with each crimson feather squeezing out from the flesh layer.

Biological predation evolution, an ability unique to advanced hunters.

The ’prey’ isn’t necessarily the creature; it could also be radiation power.

[You absorb the deep radiation field, all major attributes +20%, status gained: Beast Tide Blessing]

As the two pairs of wings flapped slowly, a mass of radiation power converged, and Gao Gong suddenly felt an itch on his behind. Yet in front of his subordinates, he had to maintain his posture. However, thanks to years of pelvic muscle training, he distinctly felt that it was the tailbone.

The next moment, a ’Spinal Bone Demon Spear’ as thick as an arm pierced out from the tailbone, slicing through a nearby tree with ease.

Amidst the massive dust cloud, Gao Gong’s spine rose and fell, and with the powerful flapping of his four wings, accompanied by a fanning sound, his toes left the ground, and he began to slowly ascend.

[Through biological predation evolution, you have gained the ability to fly]

[Your sports system transformation rate +2%]

[Your biological energy +500]

As Gao Gong felt the role of the tailbone during flight, it all became clear to him.

So that’s why I couldn’t fly before, turns out I was missing a ’keel’.

The biological alloy spine inherited from the ’Iron-Backed Flying Dragon’ is the best ’keel’.

A nearly two-meter-long ’demon spear’ divided into ten segments, each segment being two decimeters, as thick and as long as a forearm, was flexibly spinning with Gao Gong’s thoughts, and the spearhead was half a meter long, like a two-edged horse-cutting saber.

’Luckily, this thing didn’t pierce out from a certain part of the body, otherwise, it’d be a massive bleed-out!’

Despite feeling fortunate, Gao Gong was a bit melancholic.

’Now, not even Hulk’s underwear can save my posterior.’

Fortunately, no one knew what Gao Gong was thinking; they only saw their boss’s aura growing more terrifying in the dark. Bathed with wings and a tail, he slowly ascended into the sky. Had there been a moon in today’s atmosphere, the scene would quite resemble some mythological visions.

The next moment, a terrifying black light overflowed from the boss’s center. Wherever it passed, all Mechanical Hunters were shocked to find that the breathless, hair-raising feeling brought by the ’deep radiation field’ had disappeared, replaced by a warm sensation.

It seemed that power, agility, and perception had been enhanced to varying degrees.

Ordinarily, a beast tide would not grant blessings to humans.

But when Gao Gong absorbed all the radiation into his body, what remained was purely a state blessing.

See how good I am to my underlings, drinking Fukushima drinks and squeezing out nutrient liquids.

Almost simultaneously, Gao Gong sensed an immense energy flow like a river. Each B-level giant beast was equivalent to an island on the river.

There are a total of thirteen ’Jiangxin Islands’, distributed across various districts, claiming their respective territories.

Indeed, much fewer than expected.

”From now on, I am the B-level Radiation Leader, and you are my fellow kind, understand what I mean?”

The Crawler was the first to react.

”If we become ’Radiation Beasts’, we won’t be attacked by the beast tide anymore.”

”Exactly, a cunning hunter often appears as prey itself. Now, no one’s allowed to speak human language, everyone start howling!”

The group understood, immediately stopping their human act.

”Awoo, awoo, awoo~”

”Roar! Roar! Roar!”

”Awooo!”

”Meow~ Meow~”

”Which idiot is doing a cat call!”

Gao Gong was furious, his hard-earned charisma dropping in an instant.

Challenges between same-level radiation beasts are quite common. In the past, that ’Duke of Fission’ rose to power in a similar manner.

And soon, a B-level Gun Beast the size of 1000m sensed the hostility from a peer radiation field.

Centipede General slowly rose, its body embedded with over a thousand various installed weapons, each weapon flexibly shifting with the movement of its centipede legs.

Pistols, rifles, sniper rifles, machine guns, swords, axes, chainsaws, small grenade launchers, energy weapons, the monster was practically a walking arsenal.

Centipede General was on standby, and shortly, within the raging radiation field, a challenger emerged.

A hint of bewilderment flashed through Centipede General’s eyes; why did this challenger slightly resemble a human? A new species?

...

Five thousand miles away, at one of the three hidden missile launch bases on the edge of the Central Desert.

Dark clouds rapidly covered the base’s sky, simultaneously cutting off all electronic devices.

”Electronic disruption, electronic disruption.”

”What’s going on, is there an unidentified flying object approaching us at supersonic speed?”

”Intercept immediately!”

”Activate backup power immediately.”

”Report to the superiors at once.”

However, the next moment, a terrifying surge of radiation power gathered, turning from black to white, from white to bright. In the next instant, a terrifying nuclear explosion once again appeared in the center of the base.

Radiation, flames, high temperatures, fission energy engulfed everything.

At the center of the violent shockwave, amidst the mushroom cloud, a colossal silhouette loomed, slowly lowering its head, looking down on the world like a celestial calamity itself.

While at another missile launch base

Tens of thousands of ’Red Lanterns’ floated overhead, and every time the defensive barrage struck the lanterns, ’flesh raindrops’ would fall, seeping into human skin, further implanting into their bodies.

On the ground, the flesh carpet began to overrun the outer defensive walls, with B-level Radiation Beasts crossing over, invading the base’s interior.

This is not a simple case of mutual raiding; it’s a triangular home-stealing operation.

You steal my home, I steal his home.
