Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

Chapter 131: Chapter 116: Crimson Laboratory

The Crimson Empress took one step at a time into the communication center submerged in a fleshy carpet. On the surface of the fleshy carpet were numerous large flesh balls. These were living humans, including some high-ranking officials of the Security Corps.

And now, they have all turned into nutrients for the fleshy carpet.

”You, you stay away from me!”

In the communication center, a Quasi-General Level Commander looked at the Crimson Empress approaching him with a face full of terror.

Putting aside the fear of the alien species, standing at about three meters tall, the Crimson Empress was actually quite beautiful.

At this moment, the great beauty slightly plucked, and a headless corpse fell to the ground. The nerve bundles on her head extended sensibly, piercing like snakes into the bleeding neck.

The next moment, a string of data flashed in the Crimson Empress’s scarlet pupils, and this A-Level Radiation Beast skillfully typed out a series of codes, entering the missile launch system.

She was rebinding the password lock for this launch system.

A husky voice sounded on the screen.

”Well done, Crimson, from now on this launch base will be ours.”

If Gao Gong were here, he would recognize the speaker as the Great Knight Banner, the instigator of the Hydra Battle.

The Crimson Empress said nothing, but occasionally a ’zzzz’ sound came from her nerve bundles.

She seemed to be communicating in a special way.

”Don’t worry, we keep our promises. We won’t forget the transformation for the highest creatures. You will become the first S-Level Beast King of the new era.”

The corner of the Crimson Empress’s mouth slightly lifted.

However, in the next moment, the Crimson Empress frowned.

”What’s going on?”

A large amount of the fleshy carpet began to squirm, indicating her agitation.

”You’re saying someone entered the metropolitan area? No, not a human?”

”It infiltrated your lair? A new A-Level Radiation Beast born in Scavenger City?”

”Not a beast, what exactly does that mean?”

Although the Crimson Empress possessed human intelligence, she was clearly not accustomed to communication. The Banner was also clearly confused; if it’s not a human or a beast, then what is it?

”Calm down first; simply put, your lair is under attack, right.”

The Crimson Empress opened her mouth, and instead of teeth, her mouth was full of blood threads.

This was her expression of ’rage.’

”Don’t get agitated. It’s too late for you to rush back now.”

”In that case, I’ll have the Duke of Fission go back and handle this intruder.”

”Don’t worry, although Fission is something we fostered, it is undoubtedly A-Level. It can handle everything.”

”Even though it’s big, it’s the fastest when it comes to travel.”

”You focus on wrapping things up here, and I’ll have someone notify it.”

...

[You have killed the Radiation Giant Lizard, Experience +35000, Regional Reputation +500, Skill Point +1, One Lottery Opportunity]

Another massive B-Level Radiation Beast fell to the ground. This atavistic lizard, with its Tyrannosaurus-size body, was covered in gashes. Above it, a ’big bird’ landed, its huge bird claws transformed into human hands, and the large wings turned into four blood wings, and the bird body became human form.

Roosters conquer spiders, birds conquer lizards

”Boss, we’ve taken out another one!”

”Looks like B-Level Radiation Beasts aren’t that big of a deal.”

”Bullshit, without the boss saving the day multiple times, you’d be dead by now.”

”Crawler old man, why are you nailed to the tree again?”

Counting the first Centipede General they killed, Gao Gong and his team had hunted down four B-Level Radiation Beasts in total, each time smoother than the last. Their teamwork was becoming more and more seamless, they could go toe to toe even without Gao Gong’s help.

When Gao Gong’s ’Species Butcher’ and ’Genetic Slash’ were fully prepared, it signaled the end for the Radiation Beasts.

It’s worth mentioning, although it’s unclear if it’s fate, the old Crawler always ended up nailed to a tree in various ways during every Radiation Beast battle.

The Crawler pulled out the giant lizard’s tongue with a darkened face, and the gash on his belly rapidly healed.

”What can I do? Every time these monsters see me transform, they reflexively attack.”

”Who told you to transform into their food.”

”Damn it, if this old man could transform into a B-Level Radiation Beast, I’d eat you first!”

Hunting B-Level Radiation Beasts was what everyone present longed for. Everyone was in a good mood, and some even suggested:

”Boss, why don’t we just stay? I feel that just with us, we can restore Scavenger City!”

”If you want to be besieged by all B-Level creatures, that’s certainly a plan.”

Gao Gong’s expression remained calm, ”It seems everyone is pretty confident. How about I show you the truth?”

With a mere thought, Gao Gong revealed a sliver of the Radiation Field.

The next moment, powerful evil thoughts surged in waves, and it wasn’t just a single B-Level Radiation Beast, but at least more than five.

”The food chain maintains a balance. If we continue, we will become the prey. How about I retreat first, and you try fighting five on one?”

Everyone instantly turned pale.

The battle between Radiation Beasts is like a martial arts challenge: if you’re strong and take down one, two, three, four gyms, no one says a word.

But if you keep going, prepared to take down one after another, you’ll be the one beaten down.

Unless you’re an A-Level Radiation Beast.

”So boss, should we retreat?”

”Counting the ones we took down on the way, tonight we’ve hunted six B-Level Radiation Beasts. Who would believe that?”

”Let’s give them a break, or those old fellows will start grumbling again.”

To make it to the top as a Mechanical Hunter, beyond having strong skills, one also needs to be pretty thick-skinned.

”Here’s the plan going forward,” Gao Gong looked around: ”You split into pairs and retreat separately. The Radiation Field on you won’t dissipate quickly, giving you enough time to withdraw from here.”

”What about you, boss?”

”Me? I’m going to do some visiting.”

Aside from the first Centipede General, the other three were Radiation Beasts, or more accurately, were followers of the Crimson Empress.

This was also an important reason why the other B-level Radiation Beasts did not mob them.

The top of the food chain is always a challenger.

No Commander-level Radiation Beast wants to be stepped on by anyone, even if the opponent is A-level.

A rare ’youngling’ dared to make trouble, they could hardly be happier.

...

Gao Gong seemed to be walking in a crimson world, whether it was the skyscrapers on both sides, the overpasses, or various shops, all were covered by a special fleshy carpet.

In addition, lanterns floated in the air, making one feel as if they were in a ghostly realm.

[You are oppressed by an A-level Radiation Field, all attributes -10%]

Gao Gong looked down, the fleshy carpet covering towards his feet, soon enveloping them.

Aside from losing 5 points of blood per second, there was also an added ’Crimson Corruption’ negative state.

In this state, Biological Rejection increases at a rate of one point per second.

”Tsk, Crimson Corruption, you shouldn’t be called the Crimson Empress, but rather the Scarlet Empress, although you’re not a Valkyrie either.”

Gao Gong opened his palm, and in the next instant, countless blood threads stabbed into the fleshy carpet, activating ’Memory Extraction’.

Countless memory fragments surged towards him, most of them about devouring this prey, sucking out that brain matter, only a few contained the memories of the Crimson Empress.

Soon, Gao Gong found what he wanted.

Gao Gong appeared once again, now at the entrance of a theater, a building from the Civilization Era, looking quite dilapidated on the outside with a sign faintly reading ’Night-blooming Jasmine’ in large characters.

The theater’s location was on the edge of the Crimson Empress’s lair, seemingly ordinary.

But who would have thought this place was a biological laboratory of the Knight Order?

Standing at the entrance, Gao Gong was even more serious than when dealing with B-level monsters. Without much hesitation, he revealed his trump card.

Bloodline Specialization: Complete Form

The shadow under the stairs began to elongate, twelve wings, eight claws, and a Radiation Field that seemed to almost burn.

[Your Power*2, Agility*2, Endurance*2, Intelligence*2, Perception*2]

[Your Biological Energy*10]

[Your Mechanical Energy*10]

[Your Mechanical Body begins to mutate]

Within the Reaper tribe, the males resemble Ironblood Warriors, the females like Alien Forms, yet now, Gao Gong’s form was clearly a fusion of both genders.

With a massive body nearly eight meters tall, steel spikes protruding everywhere, fist-sized yellow eyeballs emitting a perilous glint, the wings on its back were no longer two pairs but six, and the arms were no longer two but eight.

With such a large body, just entering the theater doors required him to duck his head.

At the moment he pushed open the door, a terrifying fleshy carpet surged towards him.

And this time, the Complete Form chose to withstand it, burning terrifying black flames all over its body, stepping one footprint at a time towards the inside.

The blood volume was rapidly decreasing.

However, this time, Gao Gong’s blood volume was no longer a thousand points, but with two zeros added behind.

This feeling of being submerged by the fleshy carpet was quite familiar.

The little woman was experienced in such matters.

When the blood volume decreased to about two-thirds, the fleshy carpet disappeared.

[You withstood an A-level Radiation Beast Illusion, experience +10,000 points]

All the scientists were wide-eyed, staring at this monster that had suddenly intruded.

Meanwhile, Gao Gong’s gaze was fixed on the center of the theater, where there was a massive blood pool.

’Just as expected, a transformation pool of the Beast God General.’

”H-how can there be a monster here.”

”This is the domain of the Crimson Empress!”

”Quick, quickly press the alarm.”

The claws of the Complete Form suddenly shot out a hundred meters, crushing the upper body of the scientist about to press the alarm.

A knight of the Knight Order blocked in front of the Complete Form, his body rapidly swelling.

”I am the Mad Lion Knight, named—”

However, the Complete Form showed no chivalry, instantly appearing before him, its terrifying gaze causing him to freeze in consciousness.

The next moment, a massive steel palm descended from the sky, crushing him into pulp.

One step, two steps, three steps.

The Mad Lion Knight turned into a Mad Stool Knight.

After transforming, the vocal organs had also mutated, the Complete Form opened its mouth, emitting a piercing scream.

Shaking its head, in the next moment, the neural bundles split into fifty-six strands, piercing into the brains of the present scientists.

Amid the sound of digesting brain matter, a large amount of ’transformative memories’ entered Gao Gong’s brain.

’Hmm...I see...a transaction...Beast God...Advanced Biological Products.’

If ordinary knights are a blend of mechanical and biological bodies,

then the Beast God General is a fusion of energy and flesh.

The Duke of Fission is the nuclear energy prepared for the Crimson Empress by the Knight Order.

No wonder they could merge; they were originally one.
