Not Being a Trainer This Time

Chapter 187: Chapter 144: Housekeeper Pokemon

Naoki shook his head: ”It’s okay.”

”In that case, please follow me!” The old man stood up and led the way.

Naoki and Allen exchanged a glance, then lifted their feet to follow, eventually arriving at a warmly decorated nursery room.

There, Naoki saw two Indeedees playing with toys.

They were very small, seeming to have just been born not long ago.

The old man introduced, ”These are their children, just two weeks old, a brother and sister. Do you want to go up and get to know them?”

Naoki nodded, then walked forward and squatted in front of the two Indeedees.

The siblings sensed a strange presence and turned to look at this stranger.

The sister Indeedy widened her eyes and then revealed an innocent smile: ”Eee~ya!”

The brother, though young, had a mature expression. Seeing his sister being so enthusiastic to the stranger, he showed a disapproving look.

Naoki took out two bottles of Berry Milk and two Lucky Puddings from his backpack.

He didn’t feed them immediately but turned around and asked, ”Mr. Sato, can they have some snacks?”

The old man and the two adult Indeedees stood aside, watching his interactions with the two little Indeedees, and nodded: ”Of course.”

With permission granted, Naoki fed them the Berry Milk and Lucky Pudding.

He inserted the straw, and the sister Indeedy, smelling the scent, grabbed the bottle and instinctively started sipping the milk inside.

”Eya~!” She took a big gulp before stopping.

Naoki opened the Lucky Pudding’s package and fed it to her.

The sister Indeedy happily accepted it, and after she ate the entire pudding, the way she looked at him changed entirely.

”Eya! Eya!”

The sister Indeedy waved her arms, wanting to be hugged.

Naoki reached out and picked her up, feeling the soft, furry texture in his hands, making his movements very gentle.

”Aren’t you going to eat?” Naoki looked at the brother Indeedy nearby.

The brother Indeedy, with eyes half-open, half-closed, still looked at his sister disapprovingly.

Naoki used his other hand to nudge the bottle towards him: ”Want to give it a try?”

Looking at the milk bottle so close, the brother Indeedy was a bit surprised. He smelled the milk’s aroma wafting from it.

”Gulp!”

Secretly swallowing, the brother Indeedy finally couldn’t resist stepping forward and taking a sip.

Seeing this, Naoki chuckled with delight.

Quite adorable.

However, hearing his laughter, the brother Indeedy immediately reverted to his mature look, blushing and turning his head shyly, pretending nothing had happened.

Naoki didn’t say much more, just played with the sister Indeedy for a while.

The two adult Indeedees watched this scene tenderly, beginning to convers between themselves softly.

”Ai ee.”

”Ai ee~”

Hearing their conversation, the old man’s face softened into a gentle smile: ”It looks like the siblings really like him.”

The old man turned to look at the two Indeedees again, asking, ”Are you sure? Is it him?”

The two Indeedees nodded earnestly.

”Ai ee.”

After a dozen minutes, the sister Indeedy got tired of playing and joined her brother for a nap.

They are still young and need a lot of time to rest every day.

The group returned to the living room downstairs.

The old man said, ”If possible, I’d like to wait until they’re capable of doing tasks before handing them over to you. First, we’ll teach them to do house chores during this time, and second, I hope the Indeedees can watch their kids grow up, so they feel assured.”

”Of course, no problem.” Naoki agreed without hesitation.

He also really liked the two little Indeedees, but leaving them to grow up with their parents is very important for them.

Seeing him agree, the old man was pleased internally: ”Please give me your address. When they grow up, I’ll send them to your ranch, at most two months.”

Pokemon grow quickly, and like Indeedy, they can grow from a small size to a normal size within three months.

”Alright.” Naoki had no objections. He told the other party the detailed address of his ranch, then asked, ”Do I need to pay a deposit or anything?”

”That’s not necessary.” The old man gently shook his head: ”We only have one request, and that’s to take good care of the two little Indeedees.”
