Chapter 165: Chapter 132: Is Gogoat Lazy or Not?

Early the next morning, after finishing breakfast, Naoki suddenly noticed that the grass in the pasture had grown significantly taller.

Since there was nothing else to do at the moment, he grabbed a sickle and started cutting the grass, collecting all of the clippings to later make Grassy Seed treats for the Gogoat.

However, the pasture was so large that after several hours of work, he still hadn’t finished and was feeling quite sore.

”Phew!” Naoki stood up, taking a deep breath, and thought to himself, ”I guess it’s time to buy a lawnmower.”

With this in mind, he walked back, removing his leather gloves and putting the sickle back in the storeroom.

Upon returning to the front, Naoki saw that Koraidon was teaching Cyclizar some moves, with Dragonite eagerly observing on the side.

Hmm, it seems I’ll have to ride another Pokémon to town.

Naoki decided against disturbing them. After a brief thought, he headed to the goat pen to find a Gogoat, casually choosing one to ride.

”Let’s go, accompany me to town!”

”Baa~”

Gogoat agreed happily.

The evolved Gogoat stood at an impressive 1.8 meters tall and could easily carry a person of average weight.

Naoki rode the Gogoat past Koraidon and Cyclizar, telling them:

”I’m heading to town, keep practicing.”

”Gah-sis!”

”Gao-oh!”

”Awoo~”

The three Pokémon blinked their eyes.

Koraidon wanted to take Naoki to town, but since it had tasks to attend to, it could only watch them leave longingly.

This was the first time Naoki rode a Gogoat.

Compared to Koraidon and Cyclizar, riding the Gogoat didn’t feel much different.

No, to be precise, the Gogoat was even furrier, and the sensation of sitting on its back was softer.

More interestingly, Gogoat was very intelligent.

By placing his hands on its pair of long horns, Gogoat could sense Naoki’s thoughts, adjusting direction and speed according to his wishes, offering a ride experience of complete freedom.

In a sense, Gogoat was even more like a motorcycle than Cyclizar.

”No wonder it has been assisting humans since 5000 years ago,” Naoki thought.

It truly is a reliable Pokémon.

The only downside is, if only it didn’t light up.

Watching the Gogoat suddenly shine with a vivid green glow while running, Naoki was momentarily at a loss for words.

This feeling, why does it resemble those flashy mounts in pay-to-win online games?

Recharge 998, get a deluxe flashy glowing mount!

Shaking his head to dispel these strange thoughts, Naoki halted the Gogoat at the roadside, telling it:

”Release the energy in your body first!”

”Baa~”

And so, Gogoat began its Disco in the wild.

A powerful surge of Grass Type Energy erupted from its body, instantly enveloping everything around and forming a lush green terrain.

But that was just the beginning.

In this Grassy Terrain, Gogoat unleashed other moves.

Leaf Blade, Vine Whip, Razor Leaf, Solar Beam and other Grass Type Moves were flung about aggressively.

Watching this, Naoki initially worried if doing this every day would burden Gogoat too much, causing discomfort or unease.

But he soon noticed Gogoat’s face full of enjoyment.

Naoki: ”...”

The green glow spread further, attracting many wild Pokémon to come and watch.

Gradually, as time ticked away, more wild Pokémon gathered around.

Naoki noticed that, compared to before, Gogoat seemed to extend its Disco time more and more each day...

Once the energy was fully dispersed, Gogoat still appeared unsatisfied.

It seemed that merely using moves was no longer enough to consume their abundant energy.

Watching this, Naoki fell deep into thought.

Undoubtedly, this was all due to consuming large amounts of Grassy Seed daily.

To resolve this, he would need to stop feeding the Gogoat Grassy Seed.

However, Grassy Seed had become their favorite treat, and stopping it might make the three Gogoats unhappy.

So, besides Disco, what other method could help release this excess energy?

The first thing that came to Naoki’s mind was battling; it’s clearly more effective to vent energy through battles than merely using moves.

Moreover...

Naoki recalled how keen the Gogoat seemed to battle with Koraidon before; clearly, it’s not a Pokémon that dislikes fighting.

Thinking of this, Naoki looked at the Gogoat, which had now come before him, and asked:

”Gogoat, if I let you battle with other Pokémon, would you be willing?”

”Baa?!”

Hearing this, Gogoat’s face lit up with excitement, eyes filled with fighting spirit.

Naoki: ”...”

Indeed, at heart, it’s still a lively and combative Gogoat!

Life on the farm was nothing but eating and sleeping, leading Gogoat to lazily lie on the grass, giving Naoki a false sense of a laid-back, lazy personality.

After a bit of thought, Naoki asked: ”What if the opponent is a very strong Pokémon?”

”Baa!”

With a ”swish” sound, a very exaggerated Grass Blade manifested in Gogoat’s mouth.

It wasn’t going to back down!

Invaders of the pasture shall face the wrath of the sheep!

”...Alright, alright, we’ll discuss this later; for now, put away your Divine Power!”

Gogoat obediently withdrew its power.

Naoki mounted it again, continuing towards Porto Marinada Town.

Meanwhile, he contemplated how to effectively help Gogoat release its surplus energy and satisfy its vigorous battling needs.

Taking them to battle other Trainers?

No, that won’t work, there is still plenty of work waiting for him at the farm, he probably won’t have that much time.

How about letting Gogoat spar with Dragonite and Cyclizar, learning and improving together?

This was feasible, but one Dragonite and Cyclizar might not suffice for three Gogoats.

As Porto Marinada Town drew nearer, Naoki’s mind rapidly flashed through past events, seeking ways to help Gogoat release its energy.

Finally, the scene froze, lingering on a few youths clad in Orange Academy uniforms.

Got it!

If he claimed the farm can assist Trainers in training, could he then entice some young Trainers to practice at the farm?

By sending Gogoat to battle them, the Trainers would gain experience, Gogoat would expend its excess energy, and they might even get some exercise and shed some weight.

Plus, with the magical cooking on the farm to restore vitality, there’d be no worry of any Pokémon getting injured.

It’s truly a win-win situation!
