Not Being a Trainer This Time

Chapter 174: Chapter 136: Pain and Pleasure Combined (Double Chapter)_3

Battle! Battle again! Battle the freaking battle!

”Very good.” Naoki showed an appreciative look.

The first stage of the Grass Trial, the third challenge, officially begins!

Time passed by the minute and second, the sun rose high and then slowly set.

Naoki stood by watching the battle, and his expression changed from joy to shock.

Did he turn the kid into a masochist?

The sun set in the west, and a touch of sunset appeared on the horizon.

The energy within the three Gogoat was completely exhausted, although they were a bit tired, they felt genuinely happy.

Because using battle to exhaust energy is much more refreshing than the original way!

Naoki patted their heads and then had Cyclizar bring over a basket of Grassy Seed and pour it into the feeder.

The three Gogoat leisurely returned to the pen and started eating dinner.

Carter and Delibird sat on the ground, panting heavily.

Although the magical cuisine helped Delibird regain physical strength, the mental energy consumed for the battle was irreplaceable.

Delibird was extremely exhausted, it lay on the ground and let out a weak ”Bibi,” then started snoring loudly.

Seeing this, Carter returned it to the Poke Ball and softly said, ”You’ve worked hard, now get a good sleep!”

Looking at this boy, Naoki felt genuine admiration.

”To be honest, I really admire you.”

After a whole day of battling, Carter felt physically tired, but mentally he was refreshed.

He said, ”No, Mr. Naoki, it’s us who should be thanking you.”

Naoki: ”...” Crazy, truly crazy.

Carter looked at the Poke Ball in his hand and said, ”Delibird and I learned a lot from today’s battle... Although we kept getting knocked out in one move, I can feel that both of us are constantly improving.”

Naoki was slightly taken aback, seeing Carter like this, couldn’t help but smile and said:

”I’m glad I could help you, and I hope you grow from this trial. Delibird is quite a potential Pokemon.”

”Hmm?” Carter looked over spiritedly, ”Mr. Naoki, have you seen trainers who use Delibird?”

”I’ve heard about it.” Naoki thought of Pryce from the special edition: ”That trainer’s Delibird is very powerful, the Ice Type Energy on it can even freeze time and defeat legends.”

”Freeze time, defeat legends...” Carter murmured these eight words in shock, ”What kind of power must that be?”

”Who knows?” Naoki shrugged.

Carter suddenly thought of something and asked, ”Mr. Naoki, you must be a very skilled trainer, right?”

Naoki was slightly stunned: ”Why do you say that?”

Carter: ”Because you bred those three Gogoat! And you even made Caterpie learn Electroweb!”

Naoki smiled and shook his head: ”Not a trainer, at best half a breeder! But primarily a rancher! Do you remember the special power I told you I have?”

Incorporating love and emotion into the cuisine to create magical dishes that bring happiness to Pokemon.

Carter thought of this too, his eyes brightened and he nodded: ”I remember, the Gogoat must feel your intent and emotion when you make the cuisine, that’s why they are so powerful!”

”Our academy teachers say that emotions and intentions in the world are also sources of power, Pokemon grow, evolve, and learn moves this way! Love is infinite, and the power of love is limitless!”

”Our teachers also say that those who can achieve this are the greatest Pokemon Breeders in the world!”

Naoki: ”...”

Though, isn’t that a bit exaggerated?

As night fell, Carter stood up to say goodbye to Naoki: ”Mr. Naoki, I am leaving now, but we will be back tomorrow!”

Naoki was worried no one would come tomorrow, and hearing this made him beam with delight:

”Always welcome.”
