Chapter 158: Chapter 126: For the Glory of the Northern God!

The thunderclouds in the sky slowly dissipated.

Everything around returned to silence, and the Pawmo floating in mid-air also slowly landed on the grass.

It opened its determined eyes and looked over with some excitement.

”How do you feel? Have you gotten stronger?” Naoki hurriedly asked about Pawmo’s condition.

”Bamo!” Pawmo nodded repeatedly.

After evolving, the electric sacs on its cheeks were now very developed, and it could release electricity even without friction.

To demonstrate for Naoki, a current crackled from Pawmo’s cheeks.

Then, its entire body was enveloped in a spark, and a powerful Thunder Shock shot out.

Naoki nodded and murmured, ”Looks like I’ll have to add Thunderbolt to Pawmi’s notes.”

”Is there anything else?” Naoki asked.

Pawmo nodded its head and then began to demonstrate the moves it learned after evolving.

Besides Thunderbolt, there was also Thunder Punch, Discharge, Electro Ball, Electric Terrain...

Looking at those moves, Naoki felt very shocked.

The effect of that Lightning Steamed Bun was really exaggerated, wasn’t it?

That heavenly thunder not only evolved Pawmi into Pawmo but also allowed it to learn so many moves, truly deserving of the name ”Thunder God.”

One can only say that Legendary Cuisine is terrifying indeed!

A single feather of Zapdos has such great power. Then what if it’s a feather from Ho-oh or Lugia?

Or, if it’s a feather from Moltres or Articuno, made into Flame Steamed Bun or Frozen Steamed Bun, would it have a ”Fire God” or ”Ice God” effect?

And if we think even more boldly, instead of using feathers, what if we use Zapdos directly to make the cuisine?

This thought flashed through Naoki’s mind, but he quickly dismissed it.

Knowing that Pokemon have emotions and thoughts no less than humans, it would be too cruel to harm them.

Gradually, Naoki calmed down.

Because these Pokemon feathers are not that easy to obtain.

For Teddiursa to pick up a feather from Zapdos was already a huge stroke of luck, let alone the others, which he dared not even think about.

Then, Naoki recalled the scene when Pawmo’s feet left the ground earlier.

He continued to ask, ”Did you just fly?”

”Bamo?” Pawmo seemed confused.

But soon, it seemed to have thought of something, and eagerly nodded.

”Ba—mo!”

Pawmo started gathering energy, and a yellow electricity spread from its body in all directions.

The next second, Pawmo’s feet slowly left the ground and it actually floated up.

Did it really fly?!

Naoki widened his eyes and tentatively said, ”Try moving around?”

”Bamo!”

Pawmo nodded and then started to try.

At first, Pawmo was very unfamiliar, with a flight posture that looked a bit clumsy.

But soon, it seemed to grow accustomed to the feeling and flew more skillfully.

Pawmo experienced the joy of flying for the first time, and with that feeling, it excitedly flew back and forth over the pasture.

Naoki watched this scene, mumbling, ”I wonder what Groudon would feel seeing this.”

No matter what Groudon would feel, Naoki was genuinely happy for Pawmo at that moment.

Tomorrow, he would make a trip to town to buy a beautiful and bright red cloak for Pawmo to cosplay as Thor.

In this world, there’s Hat Pikachu, Rock Pikachu, Surfing Pikachu, so Pawmo with a cloak seems reasonable, right?

After flying a circle, Pawmo rushed over.

Naoki opened his arms to catch it, and Pawmo, as usual, charmed Naoki.

”Bamo~”

Though it evolved, Pawmo was still fluffy, and the paw pads felt even softer. Naoki couldn’t help but take a big sniff.

”Alright, we can go back now!”

He held Pawmo as he went back to the room.

Next up, the remaining Lightning Steamed Buns needed to be dealt with.

Legendary Cuisine was very rare, and Naoki instinctively wanted to store them in the fridge, saving them for when more Electric Type Pokemon joined the pasture so they could consume them.

However, even if they are put in the freezer, over time, the food might spoil.

What should be done?

Just then, Dragonite, who witnessed Pawmi’s transformation, looked hopefully at the buns.

Naoki said, ”These buns have no effect on you; only Electric Type Pokemon like Pawmi can grow stronger after consuming them.”

Hearing this, Dragonite felt very disappointed.

”Awoo...”

Naoki: ”...”

Fine, since they might spoil if kept too long, might as well share them with everyone to taste!

So he distributed the remaining buns to the Pokemon on the pasture, and out of curiosity, Naoki tried one himself.

Well, the taste wasn’t much different from a normal bun, just a slightly tingling sensation in the mouth, though not strong.

Maybe due to the residual Electric Type Energy in the feathers?

The buns weren’t large.

Naoki finished it in a few bites, then looked at the two on the pasture capable of using Electric Type moves: Dragonite and Butterfree, and asked, ”How do you feel?”

Dragonite carefully sensed it, then raised a fist to reveal a stronger current than before.

”Awoo?!”

Naoki also noticed this situation.

He couldn’t help feeling puzzled, was there some hidden effect?

After pondering for a moment, Naoki brought them outside and said to Dragonite, ”Show me a Thunderbolt.”

Dragonite obediently complied.

Its body was surrounded by sparks, releasing a stronger Thunderbolt.

”Indeed, the Electric Type moves’ power has increased,” Naoki murmured.

He then looked at Butterfree: ”Butterfree, how about you? How do you feel?”

”Muyi~”

Butterfree flapped its wings and used the Electroweb it learned during its Caterpie days.

Sparks flickered as an electrified web fell to the ground.

”The power seems greater than before as well.” Naoki confirmed the hidden effect of the Lightning Steamed Bun in his heart, which can enhance the power of Electric Type moves.

For non-Electric Type Pokemon, it was also a pretty good effect.

He said to the two Pokemon, ”Congratulations, Dragonite, Butterfree.”

”Awoo~”

”Muyi~”

”Alright now, time to sleep!” Naoki grinned.

Everyone had gained something today, which was truly something to be happy about!

Naoki and his Pokemon bid each other goodnight, then he took Pawmo to bed.

Perhaps because it finally achieved its dream, Pawmo slept especially soundly tonight.

I wonder what it dreamed of, Naoki thought, as even in its sleep, Pawmo seemed to be charming someone, and like a child, showed an expression of attachment.

Seeing this scene, a smile involuntarily appeared on Naoki’s face, and he gently patted Pawmo’s furry body.

He closed his eyes and soon drifted into dreamland.
