I Love Destroying Worlds' Plot

Chapter 1205: 18.43 First Grey Star - The Truth behind Su Jinʼs Rebirth.

With two hunters and two chefs in their group, they would have no trouble entering the outer circle of the Death Forest. Fortunately, Lu Shang and Leica decided to go with them as helpers, meaning that as long as they received permission from Ye Jieye, they would be allowed to enter the core region of the Death Forest.

It was already decided that all of these young men would accompany them to Numen Town.

Lu Shang said, ”Since you all decided to go back with us, make your preparations. We will most likely leave tomorrow at midday. Say your goodbyes properly. The boss said you can use any guest rooms. We are taking a rest now. Good night!”

”Good night, everyone. Make sure to clean up after you eat,” Leica said as he followed his lover and returned to their room together.

Lu Shang was not as sticky as Ye Jieye and Mo Xuejing, but at least he would not tolerate anyone treating his beloved disrespectfully; he would wait for him silently, and he would not go anywhere without making sure that his beloved was coming with him.

After their big brothers left, there was an awkward atmosphere in the living room, where Lu Ming, Su Jin, Mo Yuhan, and Ji Yoonjun were the only people remaining. Well, the three of them were a little awkward around Ji Yoonjun because, well, this skinny guy could really beat up Lu Ming and Mo Yuhan. As for Su Jin, he felt like his friend had changed a lot, but he did not know where to start.

Ji Yoonjun felt the awkwardness he caused. Though he doesnʼt care, staying here would be a bit annoying. So he stood up and yawned, preparing to go to sleep as well.

”Iʼm sleeping. You guys clean the rest. Yawn~”

Su Jin suddenly grabbed him and said, ”Xiao Jun! Letʼs sleep together!”

”Hm?”

”Xiao Jin?”

The first was Ji Yoonjun, who was a little taken aback, and the second was Lu Ming, who had no idea that he would be left alone by his lover tonight. The two had become closer since their nighttime hideout in the wilderness, and when Su Jin tried to prepare a meal that would enable him to gain a significant boost in strength, Lu Ming gave Su Jin his wholehearted acceptance.

Su Jin looked at his lover and said, ”You two bullied Xiao Jun before. I donʼt want to sleep with you tonight!”

Lu Ming had no words to say. He and Mo Yuhan had indeed fought against Ji Yoon Jun, two against one, which is considered unfair no matter how you look at it. But the result, on the other hand, is completely different from what Su Jin had expected. It was Ji Yoonjun who beat up Lu Ming and Mo Yuhan until they looked like pig heads. Those injuries were artificial, though.

After all, Ji Yoonjun used his fist instead of his bow and arrows.

Mo Yuhan was laughing at Lu Mingʼs unluckiness. This bastard would always gloat at him about having a lover. Now that he had been abandoned for a night, he felt great just thinking about it.

Su Jin pulled Ji Yoonjun to the hall where the guest rooms are located, leaving the men to clean in the living room.

Hahahaha~

”Stop laughing, you bastard! Iʼm going to beat you up!”

”Who the hell is afraid of who!? Come and see his grandpa if you can!”

”Fuck you!”

Su Jin and Ji Yoonjun turned a deaf ear to their predicament and disregarded them as Lu Ming leaped on Mo Yuhan, who was laughing his ass off. They rolled around the floor like kids, beating each otherʼs faces.

---

In the guest room chosen by Su Jin and Ji Yoonjun...

They had just finished bathing. This room has two single beds for guests who are not related by blood and do not want to share a bed. Su Jin has been thinking about a lot of things since he woke up in this world after being killed in his previous world.

He remembered that Ji Yoonjun had visited him prior to his death and had repeatedly apologized for things he could not understand, asking him not to forgive him for something.

It was only at this moment that Su Jin realized that there was a problem with his memories of his past life. He couldnʼt help but frown as he felt a headache.

Su Jin recalled that Ji Yoonjun was the type to be frugal, that is, he would save money as long as he could, so he would never buy pajamas made of silk, which cannot be washed in a machine. Ji Yoonjun had just finished his shower and emerged wearing new silk pajamas with a towel around his head.

Su Jin looks at the faceless Ji Yoonjun in front of him, and the more he studies, the more he senses that this is not the Ji Yoonjun he remembers; everything is different, even the soul inside the body. As he considered his rebirth scenario, he could not help but think of another one in which the soul inside a particular body is replaced by another soul.

Su Jinʼs stare makes sense to Ji Yoonjun. He knew that his previous random action was totally out of character for the vessel he possessed, but he never tried to hide his true personality because the special mission he had accepted granted him full OOC (out of character) in this world.

It is obvious that people who had a close relationship with this vessel would notice, especially a reborn one like Su Jin.

”Su Jin, I know what you wanted to ask. I canʼt tell you who I am or how I came to this world, but I can tell you the reason why you were reborn,” Ji Yoonjun said.

Su Jin realized that this person was not the actual Ji Yoonjun even though he was speaking in a casual manner; when he heard the word ”reborn,” he knew that Ji Yoonjun must have known why.

If Su Jin had to choose one person in this world to like more than Lu Ming, it would be Ji Yoonjun. This is because, to him, Ji Yoonjun is his brother and his only family; as orphans, they have only each other. For this reason, in their past life, Su Jin deeply regretted leaving Ji Yoonjun behind. Perhaps out of fear of being abandoned, he betrayed Ji Yoonjun in that life.

Nevertheless, he genuinely loves Lu Ming; he loves him more than his heart.

However, for some reason, no matter how hard he tried to keep them apart, Lu Ming and Ji Yoonjunʼs lives were destined to be together. He was unaware that everything was controlled by the global plot, and that they were the only characters selected to follow it.

The world-created plot is what gives the protagonist and antagonist their role; unlike ordinary bystander characters, they have no control over their destiny because everything was predestined to happen. The word protagonist sounds good. Heavenʼs beloved son and daughter sound sacred.

The former Ji Yoonjun is one of the characters from the world that, in the previous world from which Su Jin originated, were able to awaken their own egos after death; these characters, though not gods, were incredibly rare in that they were able to let go of the content of their own world.

This indicates that this character has the potential to become divine, and they will be brought into the God System.

These individuals had two options: either give up their bodies in their previous world and a world hopper would come to fulfill their final wish, or go down the path of godhood and star cultivation. If they fulfilled their mission, they would have the opportunity to become worldhoppers and receive points that could be exchanged for anything in the God System Store.

Those who selected the second option would go into the Universal Reincarnation Pool, which is another way of saying that they would be given a brand-new life that is entirely different from the one they had before. Their souls would be recycled, and they would become new characters in a different world where all traces of their previous lives would be erased.

In most cases, the soul that selected this option had a great deal of regret or hatred. It appears that the original Ji Yoonjun is the former.

Su Jin looked at Ji Yoonjun in disbelief. His eyes were wide open in shock, and the corners of his eyes were turning red.

”You... you are really not... Xiao Jun?” Su Jin mumbled as if asking for proof of his words, but deep inside his heart, he already knew that this man who uses his friendʼs vessel is no longer the Ji Yoonjun he knows.

Ji Yoonjun said, ”No. You already know that right? As for why you were able to be reborn with your previous lifeʼs memories, it was because of the original Ji Yoonjunʼs wish. He wanted you to become happy. As the destined protagonist of this world, even if he doesnʼt fully love Lu Ming, the world would force them together.

As the creator of this world, you arenʼt allowed to change your own destiny unless special circumstances like in this current timeline happen.”

”Special circumstances? Are you talking about Lord Ye and Lord Mo?” Su Jin asked.

He realized that these two were also entirely different from the way he knew them; unlike Ji Yoonjun, who is portrayed as the original, these two were different from the start to the finish.

Although they were supposed to be rivals who wished to kill each other, they appear to be entirely out of sync with his memories of them from his previous life, in which Mo Xuejing severed both of Ye Jieyeʼs hands, which led Ye Jieye to seek retribution; however, because Mo Xuejing is a hidden boss, Ye Jieye ultimately died in his hands.

Ji Yoonjun said, ”Smart.”

”What happened to the real Xiao Jun?” Su Jin asked the question he is most afraid of.

Ji Yoonjun replied, ”He is gone. After not choosing not to become a being of cultivation, he will never come back. But his wish has been fulfilled. This wish of his was something he regretted the most in his life. So he chose to give you another chance to be with the person you love the most. In exchange for his everything, he gave you another chance in this world to choose who you want to be.

This is the real reason you were reborn.”

This truth is too cruel. At first, Su Jin was overly happy, believing that he had been given a chance by the heavens to change the future he knew. He wanted to win Lu Mingʼs heart and to stay in this life as Ji Yoonjunʼs family. Who would have thought that Ji Yoonjun, the people he left behind to be with Lu Ming, would have given him this chance to change his life?

Though his brother, Ji Yoonjun, is gone in exchange for his rebirth, he never regretted choosing Lu Ming over everything. He regrets leaving Jo Yoonjun behind. Because of that betrayal, which was his greatest sin and the thing that made him feel the most guilty, he thought he could finally keep his man and stay with his brother in this world, but he was mistaken.

Ji Yoonjun was the one who gave him the opportunity to start over in this life.

The worldhopper in Ji Yoonjunʼs body wanted to ignore Su Jin, but he remembered that manʼs request at that moment like this. The thought that he could not even reply to his brother until the end made the guilt in his heart stronger than before. Tears could not help but stroll down his face as he cried loudly like a child. You lost his family.

{Sir, if one day you told Xiao Jin about the truth and he cried, can you please give him a hug instead? Tell him to live as he wishes and I wish him well.}

Ji Yoonjun hesitated for a moment before approaching the crying Su Jin. It was a bit awkward, but he wrapped his arms around the crying boy and patted his back.

Sigh~

”He is truly your brother. He even knows that you will react like this and ask me to comfort you. Donʼt cry. He is already in a good place. Though you might not see each other again, at least you know that you used to have a brother that loved you the most. That me, after you had died, destroyed that last world of yours,” Ji Yoonjun whispered.

Su Jin was stunned by what he heard about his previous world being destroyed.

”What do you mean?”

”A world where one of its Belovedʼs don had gained knowledge beyond this world would cause that world to be resetted. This world you are in is your original world but had its world plot reset. In short, the former protagonists before were no longer permanent and they can be replaced.

Your role has changed from an antagonist to a protagonist that is paired with the protagonist gong, Lu Ming.” Explained Ji Yoonjun.
