I Love Destroying Worlds' Plot

Chapter 1200: 18.38 First Grey Star - You are not a Substitute.

Back to reality...

Mo Xuejing, overwhelmed by his emotions, sat on the ground, covering his face. His tears continuously fell from his red eyes, as if he wanted to cry them out.

Sniff~ Wuaaa~

”I canʼt believe Iʼm so stupid. Why did I love a man who only sees me as a substitute? Yuhan, you wouldnʼt believe this but Ye Jieye said that I am his wife and the one who gave birth to his children. Isnʼt that ridiculous? Look at my age; Iʼm only in my twenties. His children are 8 and a toddler.

Is he telling me I gave birth when I was only a teenager?” Mo Xuejing said

[Note: In this world, Ye Jieye is almost thirty, while Mo Xuejingʼs current vessel is only 23.]

”Though I was a bit happy when he saw that he loved me and called me Jingʼer. But that wasnʼt me, right? Why is he lying to me? I feel so confused that I left him on the spot after slapping him. Hahaha~”

”NO! You are not a substitute!” Mo Yuhan retorted.

Mo Yuhan never thought he would see a scene like this again; it brought back memories of his childhood tragedy when he was still naive and only knew that he had to choose between his parents and his cousin; at last, he broke down and knelt before Mo Xuejing.

Mo Yuhan said, ”Cousin, Iʼm sorry. Iʼm so sorry. Please donʼt hate me. I have no choice. They are going to kill my parents.” He kept on kowtowing, which scared Mo Xuejing.

Mo Xuejing tried to stop his cousin from doing such a foolish thing, but the young man didnʼt stop at all.

”Stop. Stop. What are you doing? Yuhan, explain things first. Why are you apologizing to me?” Mo Xuejing asked in bewilderment.

Tears streamed down Mo Yuhanʼs cheeks as he gripped his cousinʼs hands, looking so terrible that he stammered when he tried to explain things to Mo Xuejing.

”Brother, I... I know your past. Ye Jieye isnʼt lying to you. Your current... vessel isnʼt truly your original body. Like him...

youʼre already... about to reach thirty. Jingxia and Anxia are truly your... children. Though I havenʼt witnessed Jingxiaʼs birth, I was there... when you gave birth to Anxia.

Brother, someone... took over... your body. He created your current body and... moved your soul here.”

Even though Mo Yuhan is clearly panicking and his words seem to be the truth he has been trying to hide all along, Mo Xuejing listens, thinking there will not be any more surprises until he hears what he has to say next. The more he hears, the more he feels like this is not real, but Mo Yuhan would not lie to him in his current state.

Mo Yuhan said, ”Brother, Iʼm so sorry. I wanted to let you and Anxia escape, allowing you to be with Ye Jieye and Jingxia and be together as a happy family. But the ancestor captured my parents. I can only say all your plans to him. Iʼm sorry. Iʼm so sorry itʼs my fault.

You died because of me. I shouldnʼt have told them anything. But my parents... Iʼm so sorry. Please donʼt hate me.”

If what Ye Jieye stated perplexed Mo Xuejing, Mo Yuhanʼs remarks contained more information, even information that the current Ye Jieye, who had no recollections of him, was unaware of.

”Then how come Jieye and I canʼt remember anything?” Mo Xuejing asked in a state of shock.

Mo Yuhan seems to know the answer to this question and says, ”Brotherʼs memories are taken away by that man who took over your real body. As for Ye Jieye, he... He gave it to the Lotus of Life and to revive you. To return his memories is almost impossible as itʼs connected to the life of your original vessel. Unless that body dies, he can never get it back.”

Mo Xuejing is furious, not only because of what their ancestor did but also because he cannot stop hearing about the unknown entity that took over his body. However, the Ancestorʼs inaction when his body was taken indicates that whoever was inside it was stronger than any member of the Clan, even surpassing the strength of Mo Xinyue, their Mo Clanʼs Heavenly Guardian.

Mo Xuejing asked, ”Have you met that person? That one who took over my body?”

”I only met him once. Brother, he is exactly like you, yet not at the same time. There is only rage and loneliness in his figure,” said Mo Yuhan.

Mo Xuejing asked, ”Did he tell you his name?”

”Yes, he called himself Chaos,” Mo Yuhan said.

They heard loud, booming sounds at the peak of the other mountain as if something exploded, and everyone in the mountain ranges was affected by the shaking of the entire mountain. Just as Mo Yuhan was about to inquire further about this man named Chaos, there were unexpected tremors on the mountain, even visible as cracks in the ground.

The four Mo led by Lu Shang and the two Mo who broke away from the group felt the mountain tremble, but all they could do was gather around and stare at the far-off peak that appeared to have exploded, only to find out later that no debris had fallen on anyone below the twelfth mountain where the explosion had occurred.

Lu Ming exclaims while hugging his lover, Su Jin, ”What is happening? There shouldnʼt be any volcanoes in this range!”

”Something isnʼt right. Leica brings these two to the lower mountain range. I will check the twelfth mountain where the Lord is.” Lu Shnag directly left after saying these words. His speed was beyond what Lu Ming and Su Jin had expected. They were both dumbfounded.

Leica patted the shoulders of the two men and said, ”We need to go. This place is dangerous for you two. Letʼs head down.”

”Will Big Brother Lu be alright?” Su Jin asked worriedly.

Leica smiled. ”He is powerful enough to escape if something happens. For now, letʼs go down. After I secure your safety, I will check it myself.”

”Brother Leica, we should be able to chase after Mo Yuhan and his cousin,” Lu Ming said.

Mo Xuejing reappeared out of nowhere, holding Mo Yuhan like a bag of rice, and the former sensed things were not quite right when he saw Lu Shang was not there.

Mo Xuejing placed the younger cousin down and asked, ”Leica, where is Lu Shang?”

”He went up to check on Lord Ye. He hasnʼt come down ever since you descended alone,” answered Leica. He was so polite with his words, which Mo Xuejing had never noticed before, but now that he knew his real identity, he felt that Lu Shang and Leica might have recognized him in the same way as Ye Jieye did.

Leica looks at Mo Xuejing, but he remains composed, maintaining a place underneath him; in actuality, Leica is Hei Anjingʼs subordinate; in this world, Mo Xuejing is above Leica, as Hei Anjingʼs embodiment.

Mo Xuejing pursed his lips and said, ”Leica, you already knew who I am, right? Thatʼs why you asked for billions when I wanted to buy the information of Ye Jieye and his family from you.”

”Please forgive me, Lord Mo. Iʼm under orders at that time, and during those days, Lord Ye still treated you as a stranger, so I can only do such a rude thing,” Leica said.

Mo Xuejing said, ”So are you saying that you followed my orders more than Ye Jieye, as I am his supposed other half?”

”If you are really his other half, I am yours to command, Lord Mo,” Mo Xuejing said.

Lu Ming and Su Jin were perplexed, but Mo Yuhan was taken aback. He overheard his cousin and Leicaʼs conversation and realized that Leica was his cousinʼs person, even though his appearance and body were different. However, because he was someone his elder brother trusted, he knew one person on his cousinʼs side who worked for him in the shadows to gather information and pass a message to Satan.

After hearing this, he remembered Leicaʼs true name.

Mo Yuhan asked, ”Are you Brother Yun Leiming?” Yun Leiming is Leicaʼs real name. Leica is an alias for an information broker.

Leica smiled and said, ”Yes, Yun Leiming is my real name. Youʼve grown a lot, Yuʼer. Unlike the princess, who grows very slowly even after five years, she is a toddler.”

Ye Jingxia and Anxia are only three years apart in age. Ten years had passed since that tragedy five years prior when Mo Yuhan was only thirteen. He was forced to choose between his parents and his cousin, and he chose the former and betrayed the latter.

In which is why his cousin was discovered by the ancestor, who was furious and wanted to kill the Lu descendent but inadvertently killed his cousin, who had blocked the knife for his husband.

Regarding the subsequent events, Mo Yuhan was not informed of the specifics. All he was told was that his cousinʼs resurrection was made possible by Ye Jieyeʼs sacrifice. However, it was also Ye Jieyeʼs sacrifice that led to Ye Jieyeʼs removal from the Lu and Mo Clan by his maternal grandfather, Mu Zang.

It was not until recently that Mo Xuejing and Ye Jieye crossed paths during that chef assessment that they were reunited, albeit with a loss of recognition.

Mo Xuejing said, ”Letʼs talk later. I will check on Lu Shang and Ye Jieye. You guys return to Somatic Town. Go now! I think a beast stampede is about to happen!”

Leica, upon checking the peak core regions, realized that Mo Xuejingʼs premonition was about to happen. ”Please leave the guys to me.” He tied the two young men with him and sped up. His pace is as fast as that of Lu Shang, who disappeared like the wind just now. He tied the three young men with his red string artifact, Yizhi.

In the middle of the twelfth mountain, Lu Shnag was fighting a thousand beasts that were running down from the destroyed peak. They were scared by whatever it was at the peak that caused this beast to stampede. He immediately erected a tall ice wall that encircled the entire mountain.

Mo Xuejing watches them until they disappear from the eleventh mountain they were in before climbing up to the twelfth mountain.

Lu Shang, who noticed him, saluted Mo Xuejing. ”Thanks for your help, Lord Mo. These beasts suddenly come running down as if they are running away.”

”I will look for Ye Jieye. Go down and support Leica. Report to the Somatic Townʼs security about the possibility of Beast Stampede. This ice wall wouldnʼt last long,” Mo Xuejing said.

Lu Shang didnʼt question his decision and accepted his new orders. ”As you wish, Lord Mo.” He went down without hesitation.

It was only at that point that Mo Xuejing began to suspect that he might be Ye Jieyeʼs partner, and it was at least as likely that his subordinate, Lu Shang, noticed it as Ye Jieye did.

Even though Lu Shang was not yet aware that Ye Jieye had already identified him, the mere fact that Ye Jieye permitted him to remain at his side indicates that Lu Shang is willing to carry out his orders just as he does to his older cousin, treating him as though he were his other boss, standing beside Ye Jieye above him.

Since he left Ye Jieye at the mountain and descended, Mo Xuejing believed that this scenario had a strong link with Ye Jieye, and although he did not know what Ye Jieye had done, he was probably the cause of the beast riot. For this reason, he regrets leaving Ye Jieye behind.

”AʼYe, have you forgotten that our children are in Somatic Town?” mumbled Mo Xuejing as he continued to ascend to the now flat peak of the Twelfth Mountain.
