I Love Destroying Worlds' Plot

Chapter 1206: 18.44 First Grey Star - Breakfast

Su Jin went to sleep that night with swollen eyes after learning the truth about this world. Although the truth was harsh and heartless, it brought Su Jin comfort, so he does not need to be afraid to ask for anything he wants anymore—after all, his brother gave him this second chance at life.

Ji Yoonjun covers Su Jin with a blanket and goes out the next door to knock—the guest room next to theirs is the one that Lu Ming and Mo Yuhan chose because it is the closest to the room they were in. When Lu Ming opens the door, Ji Yoonjun has a lit cigarette in the corner of his lips.

Click!

Lu Mingʼs face was dark when he saw Ji Yoonjunʼs indifferent face. The cigarette smoke caused a division between the two of them.

Ji Yoonjun said, ”We are done talking. Go sleep with him in that room.”

After a moment of staring, Lu Ming returned to the room to gather his belongings and went to Ji Yoonjunʼs side, where Ji Yoonjun muttered something into his ears before Lu Ming left.

Ji Yoonjunʼs words are: ʼIf one day you choose to betray Su Jin for your own sake, I will... I will kill you with my own hands. Remember, this is not a warning but a threat.ʼ

Lu Ming was shocked, but before he could react, Ji Yoonjun entered the room and slammed the door on his face.

SLAM!

He could only curse silently as he headed to Su Jinʼs sleeping quarters. Ji Yoonjun, who traded rooms with Lu Ming, snorted, knowing that the man could not fight back, fearful of making noise. Lu Ming wanted to kick the door, but he was afraid of waking up his lover next door.

Snorted

When he turns around, he sees Mo Yuhan, who just finished his bath wearing only his pants; he was topless, exposing his six-pack abs while drying his hair with a towel.

”Ah! Why are you here!?” Mo Yuhan said.

Ji Yoonjun shamelessly goggled on Mo Yuhanʼs body with an expressionless face. He moves his eyes up and down openly, looking at the manʼs exposed self.

”Hm, not bad. Yawns,” Ji Yoonjun said as he walked past him, laid down on the free bed, and covered himself up with a blanket. ”Turn off the lights, please.” He nonchalantly ignored the confused expression of the man and headed to the dreamland on his own.

Mo Yuhan wandered around aimlessly until he turned on the roomʼs lights. It was not until the room was completely dark that he realized Lu Ming would not be sleeping here, so he switched places with Ji Yoonjun next door.

”What the hell happened while I was taking a bath? Sigh~ whatever. Letʼs go to sleep.” Mo Yuhan mumbled as he went to the other empty bed and went to sleep.

As soon as Mo Yuhan had fallen asleep, Ji Yoonjun opened his eyes and appeared beside Mo Yuhan.

”System, are you sure that you didnʼt make a mistake?”

[Yes, host. This mortalʼs soul is different from the rest of the characters in this world. [The system doesnʼt know if he is a variable or just like Ji Yoonjun.]

”Put him under surveillance. I canʼt fail my mission in this world,” Ji Yoonjun said.

[Yes, host!]

”If itʼs the same as Ji Yoonjun, what would he do if he learned that he had gone to a place out of his reach? This world cannot be reset twice in the same timeline, or else the world would be destroyed and Ji Yoonjunʼs wish would be wasted,” Ji Yoonjun mumbled.

[Donʼt worry, host. Didnʼt the Lords give you a spell scroll as a reward? Iʼve checked. Itʼs a time-element scroll made with a high-grade elemental spell. You can reverse time for a certain period of time without affecting the original.]

”You mean to cross two timelines and allow them to meet?” Ji Yoonjun asked in disbelief.

This spell was created by the current god of time, who I have heard is the eldest and adopted son of the God of Void and the God of Destruction. He makes time infinite; thus, magic scrolls generated by him are incredibly rare, and he finds it easy to let timelines collide.

”The children of those two Venerable Lords are never simple.” He remembered how Ye Jingxia, with the body of a mortal, nearly summoned an ice phoenix without dying; he is still alive, save for a minor load on his current vessel.

---

The villaʼs occupants awoke one by one as the sun rose above the horizon once more. Mo Xuejing and Ye Jieye had tucked their kids in the middle of the master bedroom when they went to bed the previous evening, and Ye Jieye was the first of the four to awaken.

He had to get up early to prepare breakfast for his family, so he wrapped the three drowsy heads in a blanket and kissed each of them before making his way to the kitchen.

”Sleep well, my babies,” he whispered before quietly going out of the room.

After yesterdayʼs hunt, Mo Xuejing was surprisingly exhausted. He and Ye Jieye had been fighting nonstop since the Beast Stampede, and Mo Xuejing had to fight through herds of fleeing beasts and ingredients in order to find Ye Jieye. The two brats, on the other hand, were thrilled that their parents had returned and had played too much the night before, exhausting themselves.

In the kitchen, Ye Jieye did not prepare elaborate meals; instead, he made boxed lunches for everyone, figuring that if they ate too much, they would either be traveling home by car or by air, or they would get motion sickness and have to go home anyhow. He only prepared a sweet potato porridge using amber sweet potatoes.

A few more rare and legendary-grade ingredients fill the kitchen with some side dishes, like a rolled tomato omelet made from Snow Vermillion Pheasantʼs egg and legendary-grade Swamp Tomatoes Lu Shang and Leica bought from the market earlier. A few more vegetables are put in the refrigerator, and Ye Jieye intends to take the leftovers away before they leave.

The lunch boxes held beef stew, rainbow cheese beef lasagnas, lava apple-rainbow cheese steak salad, fajita burger wraps, and some yogurt fruit salad. He also prepared a Lava Apple Risotto for his baby daughter.

All of the food was allocated to individual family members, and he had already recorded his familyʼs portion in his inventory before leaving the remaining food in the kitchen for them to gather themselves.

After cooking, Ye Jieye was about to bring the rest of the dishes outside when he saw his loyal subordinate, Lu Shang, waiting for him quietly outside. Obviously, he is here to report.

Lu Shang bows his head in his Lordʼs presence as he greets, ”Milord, there is something to report. The people we left to protect Mu Zang heard something that might involve the Upper Realm.”

”Say.”

”Yes, there is a place called the Tower of Gods that grants wishes. Milordʼs current vessel is not the original body of Ye Jieye but something created by that thing in the Tower of God,” Lu Shang reported.

Ye Jieye said, ”I know this body isnʼt real. Itʼs made of flesh but lacks the energy of life. Itʼs more like a puppet body made of flesh. Itʼs filled with the scent of death when I first woke up in it and caused my regeneration to weaken a lot. Only when I cleansed it with my divine blood did it become a real mortal body. The current body of Jingʼer is the same.

Likewise, he was also cleansed with divinity. So itʼs that Tower of God, the thing that created this body?”

”Yes, Milord. It seems that Mu Zang gave away his voice and was only capable of speaking with the help of a human machine attached to his throat,” Lu Shang said.

Ye Jieyeʼs eyes narrowed for a moment when he heard about this. But he didnʼt say anything about it either.

”We will leave in the early afternoon. You inform the rest. Also, breakfast is ready; serve it yourselves. As for the lunch boxes, you distribute them accordingly.”

Ye Jieye went into the bedroom to have breakfast with his family; he left the kitchen to carry a tray of food for his wife and kids; he could not possibly serve the others; they would have to serve themselves.

Moments later, Ji Yoonjun and Su Jin had to go back to the cafe to retrieve some of their belongings, while Lu Ming and Mo Yuhan stopped by the clinic to bid farewell to Doctor Sen and pick up Doctor Guang on their way. Heavenly Guardian Mu Zang, on the other hand, had some saved for him and the other seniors, according to Leica, who put their portion in a takeout bowl.

He elected to stay in the hospital tent to help, fearing that his patients would worsen even after the hospital staff sent by Hunter Hall came; he fell yesterday night from exhaustion from working too much and spent the night in Doctor Senʼs clinic.

Even though the café was still in a state of disarray, Ji Yoonjun had taken precautions to secure their belongings before it was destroyed. Ji Yoonjun, Su Jin, Lu Ming, and Mo Yuhan headed to the cafe together to organize their belongings, while the other pair walked to the clinic next door.

Knock. knock. knock.

A few minutes later, with black bags under his eyes, Doctor Guang opened the door, and it appeared that the old men inside were still asleep. Lu Ming knocks politely on the closed clinic door, but he knows the old doctor is inside because he feels his presence coming from within the clinic.

Doctor Guang said, ”Ugh, itʼs you two. Why have you come early? Yawns, Iʼm still so sleepy.”

The covered cloth pot next to Lu Ming was hoisted by Mo Yuhan, causing the lid to slant open slightly. Doctor Guangʼs eyes opened with hunger as the aroma of rice balls and sweet potato porridge assailed his nose.

”Is that breakfast? Come in, come in. I will prepare the bowls and call the seniors.” Doctor Guang left them inside the clinic.

When Lu Ming and Mo Yuhan entered the room, they saw three wasted old men who were clearly suffering from a bad hangover: Heavenly Guardian Xian Wu, who had consumed an entire barrel of wine, was lying on the ground with his arms and legs spread, resembling a salted fish that was immobile; Doctor Sen was splattered on the top of the table, clearly feeling numb in his head and not wanting to move; and Heavenly Guardian Mu Zang, who was lying in a normal position with his forehead on the top of his left fist.

Doctor Sen said while hearing the two additional footsteps in his clinic eve. If he didnʼt open his eyes,.

”Guang, who came over? Argh! Make some sobering soup for us, old men!” Doctor Sen said.

Doctor Guang responded, ”Old man, there is something better. Chef Ye made us some breakfast.”

Heavenly Guardian Xian Wu woke up upon hearing the word breakfast. There was even a drool in the corner of his mouth.

”Did someone say breakfast?!”

”Something Xiao Ye made? Is it porridge? Give this old man a bowl!” Heavenly Guardian Mu Zang said.

The porridge was enjoyable; at least these elderly men who were suffering from hangovers felt warmness in their stomachs, which lessened the aching from drinking too much the night before. Lu Ming and Mo Yuhan help serve breakfast because they see that there are too many elders who want assistance, and they even lift Heavenly Guardian Xian Wu off the ground while serving some of the seniors first.
