I Love Destroying Worlds' Plot

Chapter 1196: 18.34 First Grey Star - New God-grade ingredient

At the peak of the Tenth Mountain...

The crew had tracked the new ingredientʼs traces to this spot, and now it was soaring in circles above this mountain peak, seemingly with no intention of continuing to the upper mountain.

Ye Jieye said, ”We are here. AʼMo and I will isolate this area and create an ice dome to prevent it from flying away. As for the rest, you guys need to do your best.”

”Please leave it to us!” Lu Shang said.

Leica said, ”This new ingredient seems to be god-grade. It had intelligence, so we had to work together for it.”

”Okay, Brother Leica, we will listen to you,” Lu Ming said, and beside him, Mo Yuhan also nodded his head. As for Su Jing, he was tasked with standing beside Ye Jieye.

Ye Jieye looked at the sky and narrowed his eyes. ”Itʼs almost here. AʼMo, try to make an ice dome and meet mine!”

”Okay!” Mo Xuejing didnʼt question if Ye Jieye was capable of ice elements. He trusts him and will always believe in him.

Lu Shang, Leica, Lu Ming, and Mo Yuhan all became serious and waited for the signal as the two of them concealed their presence and moved in the direction of the north and south.

Suddenly, a flash of red and green light appeared in their field of vision, moving so quickly that it would vanish with a blink, but in that instant, ice spread out in two directions, where Ye Jieye and Mo Xuejing were, and an ice dome appeared in an instant.

Ye Jieye uses his left hand to control ice elements, while his right hand holds a red flame. He did not dare use his hell flames because the ingredient would undoubtedly turn to ashes. A small fireball shot off from Ye Jieyeʼs hand faster than sound, landing in the middle of the dome, but the red flame spread and became an explosion as if it were blocked by the wind.

BOOOM!!!

Red fire shot across the sky as something blew up, but luckily the ice dome was thick enough to keep the fire from spreading. Something dropped in the midst of the blast, and it was a clump of oyster mushrooms.

Mo Xuejing shouted, ”Itʼs about to split up! Donʼt let it run away!”

An oyster mushroom cluster consists of at least ten different sized mushrooms. When the mushroom split apart in the middle of the fall, it ran in all directions, but fortunately the dome stopped its escape path. It can only fly and jump inside the ice dome that Ye Jieye and Mo Xuejing created. The four hunters in the center split up and attempted to catch the mushroom that was closest to them.

Mo Yuhan was the closest to his mushroom and grabbed it. Thereʼs an excited smile on his face as he grabs a red-colored oyster mushroom.

”Hah! You canʼt escape now!”

Suddenly, a childʼs voice was heard coming from the mushroom, as if it were crying and pleading.

{Wuwuwu~ big brother, donʼt eat me! Iʼm not delicious~}

”What the hell! The mushroom can talk!” Mo Yuhan exclaims.

Ye Jieye, who witnessed this scene, shouted, ”Fool! Donʼt lower your guard down!”

Whoooshed~

The red oyster mushroom in Mo Yuhanʼs hand suddenly emits fire and burns his hands directly.

AHHHH!!!

Mo Yuhan screamed as he let go of the mushroom. He had to freeze his burned hand, which shows his bones. Not far from him, Lu Ming and the rest were shocked by this scene.

Mo Xuejing scolded, ”Yuhan, thatʼs a God-grade ingredient. Donʼt look down on it! Drink a potion immediately!”

Mo Yuhanʼs hands were shaking as he drank his elixir, which significantly lessened the scorching feeling in his hands. He also heard a childʼs laughing voice from the mushroom that had burned his hands—like a cunning and joyful fairy jumping all around him.

{Hahaha~ stupid! Stupid human, youʼre so easy to fool.}

A translucent box hit Mo Yuhanʼs head, and he realized that it was Ye Jieyeʼs doing. Mo Yuhan was furious and quickly turned the foolish mushroom into an ice sculpture. Sadly, his ice is not as powerful as Mo Xuejingʼs, and the god-grade mushroom can melt it in a matter of seconds.

The man said to him, ”Put it inside. As long as itʼs inside that box, it wonʼt be able to escape.”

Ye Jieye threw Mo Yuhan an ordinary glass box, but inside he placed a formation that sealed divinity; god-grade ingredients are edible, sentient creatures, and as long as divinity is sealed, it is just like any other mushroom. Mo Yuhan obeyed without question, and the mushroom he caught melted his ice, trapping him inside the box.

{Impossible! I donʼt have my powers. What is this thing!? Let me out!!}

Mo Yuhan looked at the mushroom inside the box with disdain and said, ”Haha~ letʼs see how you can escape now!”

Lu Shang captured three and suppressed them with a wind barrier; his control over the wind overpowered the mushroom, which he threw into the box; Leica used his red-string artifact, which is so durable that an ordinary flame cannot burn it; the other three saw the effects of the box and immediately put the mushrooms they caught inside; Lu Ming only caught one, like Mo Yuhan, and placed his green mushroom inside as well.

Both of his hands were full of cuts. According to the theory, the green oyster mushroom is full of wind elements.

Su Jin said, ”There are only two more!”

He was jubilant because in his previous life, he, Lu Ming, and the party they brought had suffered much at the hands of these god-grade mushrooms; in the end, they managed to catch only two—one each of the elements, a red and a green—but that in and of itself had enhanced Lu Mingʼs power and allowed him to rise to the top.

When Ye Jieye and Mo Xuejing took control of the dome that ensnared them and made the decision to launch an attack, Lu Ming and the other three decided that the two mushrooms that remained were more intriguing than the others.

Lu Shangʼs comment at the scene. ”These mushrooms seek death!”

Raising an eyebrow, Mo Xuejing instantaneously froze the green mushroom in front of him, rendering it helpless against his pure ice. Ye Jieye simply needed to look at the final red mushroom to pass out.

{M-Monster!}

Then it fainted and fell to the ground, leaving everyone in shock and silence as they watched this scene unfold. The ice dome melted when its purpose was completed, and Ye Jieye picked the red oyster mushroom with a calm gaze, treating it like any other mushroom in his hand as it played dead.

Ye Jieye said, ”Here. Take it! The fire elements in it were a bit powerful. Leave me and AʼMo one of each. My daughter has a use for it.”

”Really? How long is its effect, AʼYe?” Mo Xuejing asked excitedly.

Ye Jieye answered with a gentle gaze, ”Half a year each. With it, Xiao Xia will not feel chill for a year.”

”Thatʼs great. Thatʼs really good!” Mo Xuejing said.

The cluster of oyster mushrooms had five red and five green. Itʼs evenly split. But it seems that the wind elements in it are more powerful than the fire elements.

Mo Yuhan said, ”Cousin, I will give mine to you. Give it to the little girl.”

”I...”

”Keep two. You need it to enhance your fire elements. As for the rest, you guys divide it among yourself.” Ye Jieye cuts off his words and walks away.

Lu Ming said, ”Actually, Big Brother Ye, my wind element is more powerful than my fire element. So like Big Brother, Iʼm planning to focus on it too. So...”

”No! Shangʼs bloodline followed your motherʼs side; thatʼs why his wind element is dominant and lost his fire abilities. Yours is stable at equal fire and wind. You can focus on one or youʼll suffer a backlash. Eat two of each. Thatʼs what your body can bear.

Lu Shang and Leica will stay here to protect you in your training. AʼMo and I will hunt for the twelfth mountain. You got what you came for. No need to follow us anymore.”

Ye Jieye walks away after saying these words. He seems to have no intention of waiting for them to follow. Mo Xuejing followed unconditionally after him and said to them,

”Stay here. We will be back soon~ Aʼ Ye wait for me!”

”Hm. Be careful. Donʼt slip.”

Watching the fading back of the two men, the other five stayed where they were. Lu Shang sat on the ground and rubbed his tummy.

Lu Shang said, ”Finally, we can rest. Honey~ Iʼm hungry~”

”Canʼt you wait for a bit? Wait, Iʼll make mushroom soup for you.” Leica said as he captured two green oyster mushrooms in the ingredient box. This is their portion.

Su Jin is currently treating the hands of Lu Ming and Mo Yuhan. One got his hands burned while the other almost got his hand shredded.

”You two are careless. How can you grab a God-grade ingredient with your own hands!?” Su Jin said worriedly.

Lu Ming responded, ”I was just... so happy. Thatʼs the first time Iʼve hunted for a God-grade ingredient.” Mo Yuhan didnʼt say anything but obviously, his reason is the same as above.

Lu Shang said, ”If you kids are done there, come over. Weʼve steamed some sweet potatoes and potatoes for you.”

Lu Shang and Leica invite them over after they have taken care of themselves. They prepare some steamed potatoes and sweet potatoes using the amber sweet potatoes and diamond potatoes that they got from Mo Xuejing. They cut the potato in half and top it with a legendary-grade butter made from rainbow cowʼs milk that they purchased from the gourmet market.

This butter goes very well with the Demigod-grade amber sweet potatoes and diamond potatoes.

Lu Ming and the others could not help but stare at the rare, demigod-grade ingredients cooked before them; demigod-grade ingredients are rare and are not used in the regular system because mutated ingredients are nearly impossible to get, but their price is not low compared to peak-ranked legendary-grade ingredients, and God-grade ingredients can only be purchased through auctions.

The scent of steamed potatoes and potatoes with high-grade butter was too fragrant.

Children would adore the diamond potatoʼs milky flesh and the touch of rainbow-colored butter added to its color. These potatoes appear to have significantly improved oneʼs capacity for healing because of the light elements in their flesh.

Leica said, ”Eat a lot. I made a lot as well.”

”Thank you, Brother Leica!” The three young men said.

Lu Shang complains, ”Brats! I will also help catch it!”

”Thanks, Big Brother Lu.” Su Jin said that the other two were also gorging on the potatoes in their hands.

The flesh of the amber sweet potatoes is red instead of orange, and a strong aura of fire can be felt with it; however, this was not an upgrade material as only God-grade ingredients had that effect. The sweet potatoes were also cut halfway through, and rainbow-colored butter was also placed in the cut.

The effect of the amber sweet potatoes is fire resistance for three hours in regular people and other element users; for fire elemental users, it increases their fire resistance to fifty percent and temporarily strengthens their fire affinity.

Lu Shang said, ”Ming, before eating the sweet potatoes, you should ask your lover to prepare your upgrade meal. Amber Sweet Potatoes had fire affinity enhancement when eating. It would greatly help you with your upgrade.”

”Really, Big brother!?” Lu Ming asked in excitement and was surprised.

Leica said, ”Itʼs true. Diamond Potatoes enhance healing as it has light properties. Amber Sweet Potatoes can increase fire resistance and fire affinity. It doesnʼt last too long though. For you, three hours. Ordinary people and other elemental users only have an hour.

Donʼt waste this opportunity.”

”Yes!” Lu Ming then looked at Su Jin and said, ”Xiao Jin, letʼs do it. Make that mushroom steak. I want to upgrade!”

”Okay, I will do my best!” Su Jin said as he brought out the cooking materials and other ingredients for cooking mushroom steak.
