I Love Destroying Worlds' Plot

Chapter 1203: 18.41 First Grey Star - Solving the Beast Stampede

When Mo Xuejing saw that Ye Jieyeʼs complexion changed from bloodless to a fair one, he decided to turn a blind eye. He watched as a purplish black dragon materialized from his aura and ate all the living beings on their paths, including the trees, plants, and grass. He was at a loss for words when he saw that the twelfth and eleventh mountains were bald.

His wife is always like this; as long as it is for his sake, he is willing to sacrifice the world to keep him safe. He grips the hands that entangled him, making the owner of them turn around to look at him. Ye Jieye just smiled gently at his other half, which caused the latter to blush.

Seeing how Mo Xuejing did not stop him despite the scene of turning a few mountains bald, plus that action of turning a blind eye as long as it gave him an advantage, made him happy.

Ye Jieyeʼs thoughts at the scene of his wife blushing. ʼSo cute. I want to take a bite.ʼ

”What are you looking at?!” Bashfully asked Mo Xuejing.

Ye Jieyeʼs smile became even more affectionate, and he replied, ”Looking at my love.”

”Ah! Fuck!” Mo Xuejing can only cover his face and avoid the annoying, affectionate man in front of him. ”You used to be expressionless. Now you feel so cringed. Ah!”

”Do you hate me like this?” Ye Jieye asked as he lowered his head like a bullied puppy.

Mo Xuejing could only comfort himself by embracing his waist since he thought he looked so pitiful.

”No. As long as itʼs you, I wonʼt hate you,” Mo Xuejing responded while hugging Ye Jieyeʼs waist closer to himself.

As the two turned to head back down the slopes, they heard a dragon roaring not far away, and as they glanced in that direction, they saw a black figure flying in their direction.

Mo Xuejing said, ”Is that Roi? Is the Somatic Town still okay? What about the children!?”

”We can ask him what is happening.” Ye Jieye and Mo Xuejing waited for Roi to come over.

With two Heavenly Guardians barring their route, the situation in the town would not be as bad as it was when Roi briefed them about the situation at the Somatic Town and expressed gratitude that Senior Mu Zang had come here with them.

Mo Xuejing asked, ”If Grandpa is busy fighting in the front and Roi comes over to pick us up, then who is protecting our children?”

”Zhi Yang and Zhi Yue are still around. They are the hidden guards I chose to protect the cubs. Donʼt worry, they will be alright, right?” Ye Jieye said.

Mo Xuejing said, ”Who are Zhi Yue and Zhi Yang?”

”They are... Something I made for you and me. Iʼll introduce them to you when we get back home. Zhi Yang is supposed to be by your side. So I will let him follow you starting today,” Ye Jieye said

Confused, Mo Xuejing asked, ”Why is there a need for him to follow me? We live in the same place after all.”

”Because I have made it for you. He follows your words more than mine. You will understand everything in a while. You also donʼt have your memories, which is weird. You shouldnʼt have such a problem,” Ye Jieye said.

Mo Xuejing remembered Mo Yuhan talking about a man named Chaos who had sealed away his memories and taken control of his physical body. He could not figure out why this man was acting in this way, but he knew why, so he did not want to tell Ye Jieye. Instead, he wanted to find a solution on his own.

Roi said this to his master through telepathy. {Master. Master. So many beasts are coming down the mountain. Some big ones were blocked by Grandpa Mu and another old man. But there are still too many...}

Ye Jieye frowned for a bit as he heard what Roi had told him.

”Jingʼer, we need to go back fast. Roi will bring us back to the town as soon as possible.”

He asked, ”Is the situation dangerous?” Mo Xuejing held Ye Jieyeʼs hand as they jumped into Roiʼs head and flew away together.

Ye Jieye said, ”The ranks and grades of each beast arenʼt the problem. Itʼs their number that is a problem.”

”Just how big is this beast stampede?” Mo Xuejing mumbles as he sees the scene of monsters and beasts running down the mountain like ants in a pot over a fire.

Ye Jieye replied, ”Thirteen mountains worth. The legendary-grade ones were blocked by Gramps and another Heavenly Guardian. As for the demigod-grade and god-grade, they must be blocked by that overlord under the Milky Way River.”

Flying faster than the birds, Roi and the others had already arrived at the Milky Way River; unlike the other mountains that the beasts were racing across, this galaxyʼs shore was calm and empty, but to those who were sensitive to danger, such stillness would seem abnormal, as if something was frightening the other monsters.

Mo Xuejing was vigilant at this quietness and looked around with a frown on his beautiful face. He mumbles, ”This area is so quiet that itʼs eerie.”

Then, out of nowhere, they were attacked by another god-grade skeleton bird, one of the rare materials used to make weapons instead of edibles. At half the size of an adult pterodactyl, Roi was clearly the target of this bird made of bones, and since his master wanted them to get out of there as quickly as possible, he could only reduce his weight and shrink slightly to increase his flying speed.

Who would have guessed that they would be the target?

Mo Xuejing commented, ”Is this undead thing serious? Rou is a dragon. He canʼt even feel bloodline suppression.”

”Something is wrong with it. It must have eaten something for it to go into a state similar to berserk,” Ye Jieye said.

Mo Xuejing raised a hand, intending to kill the undead bird. ”Whatever it is, letʼs just kill it. Since itʼs a God-grade ingredient, then it should be expensive.”

SPLAAASSSHHH!

As he was about to freeze the entire undead creature, a massive, electrically coated snake-like figure jumped out of the Milky Way River beneath them, chomping on the undead bird before falling back to the galaxyʼs river. Ye Jieye and Mo Xuejing were able to see the figure clearly, and judging only from its aura, they concluded that it was a divine being.

Mo Xuejing said, ”An Eel?”

”It has the bloodline of a dragon,” Ye Jieye said as he saw that the Eel Dragon stared at Roi for a bit before saluting.

The Eel Dragon was determined to receive the piece of black scale from Roi, even though both dragons are divine, Roi is a dragon from the highest realm, and his bloodline is unmatched in purity. Roi nods its head, acknowledging his breath, and tosses a scale of his towards the Eel Dragon, which to Roi is just an ordinary scale but to him, it is something that would allow him to evolve further.

ROOOAAARRR!

CRIIZZZRAAAR!

Mo Xuejing mumbles, ”So thatʼs the owner of that strange aura from before. It lives in this river. No one owns it. Should we bring it back with us?”

”No need. It has an owner,” Ye Jieye said as they flew away. ”It must be the mount of a Heavenly Guardian of this mountain range.”

While soaring through the mountain range, they came across the two Heavenly Guardians, who were hovering above to contain the other legendary-grade beasts in the region; Heavenly Guardian Xian was blocking the path with his large hammer, while Heavenly Guardian Mu was frightening the beasts and monsters away with sound waves; those who were unaffected could only be stopped by using brute force.

Heavenly Guardian Mu was coughing as he overused his voice. His ability is connected to making sounds, so his vice was mostly used as his weapon.

Cough. Cough.

With a slightly hoarse voice, Heavenly Guardian Mu Zang complained, ”This is endless. Do something about this, Old Dwarf!”

”Wait. Let me think about it. Maybe I should call Eggie (Eel Dragon) to scare them away,” Heavenly Guardian Xian Wu said.

Heavenly Guardian Mu Zang said, ”I donʼt think there is a need for it. They are here.”

”Who is here?” Heavenly Guardian Xian Wu asked as he saw the flying black dragon bringing two men on its head.

Ye Jieye and Mo Xuejing politely greet their elders.

”Ye Jieye greets Gramps and the Heavenly Guardian.”

”Mo Xuejing greets Grandpa Mu and the Heavenly Guardian.”

Heavenly Guardian Mu approached his grandson and checked on him. Except for a bit of paleness, he is not injured in any way.

Mu Zang said, ”You look a bit sickly. Did something happen?”

”My aura was a bit disrupted. Itʼs okay now,” Ye Jieye said.

Heavenly Guardian Xian Wu asked, ”Can you handle the rest?”

”Yes! But itʼs better for me to handle them in the town. If I do it here, those near the town will run further out the gates,” Ye Jieye said.

Heavenly Guardian Xian Wu said, ”Okay, letʼs do as you said.”

Along the way, they would still block some large ones, which Mo Xuejing would temporarily freeze; with the dragonʼs speed, they arrived at the gates without delay, seeing hills of dead ingredients piled up and hunters still in the air; as the fighting at the front dragged more wounded people to the hospital tent, Doctor Guang and Doctor Sen, exhausted as an old dog, dragged more injured people to the tent.

As soon as the black dragon appeared at the gates, most beasts halted their tracks and were pushed from behind. Heavenly Guardian Xian ordered all the hunters to retreat. Ye Jieye, on the other hand, jumped at the front alone and looked at the numerous beast gatherings. His eyes turned completely red as he emitted an aura of void and gluttony.

When the black and purple aura appeared on Ye Jieye, everyone felt the atmosphere in the whole area turn tense.

Only Mo Xuejing is not affected by this dangerous aura Ye Jieye is emitting. The beast stampede was running away from Ye Jieye, some of them even stumbled as they turned around to run away from Ye Jieye, making it look comical. It only took all those beasts an hour to ascend the mountain range. They did not want to stay near Ye Jieye at all.

Even the two Heavenly Guardians could not help but put up their guards, and the trembling of their bodies was instinctive.

When Ye Jieye turned around, the aura around him had already been suppressed; he had eaten enough on the way to not lose control again, but when his eyes met the others, those with weaker wills could not help but faint on the spot, and the others took a few steps away from Ye Jieye as if he were some kind of monster. The area before had instantly turned empty after the dust had fallen.

Ye Jieye was indifferent to this situation; as the God of Void, he was used to being shunned by everybody, and the only people who remained by his side were his brother, his wife, and their family. Naturally, only Mo Xuejing approached him and grinned.

Mo Xuejing said, ”Thanks for your hard work. Letʼs go home!”

Ye Jieye held the outstretched hand before him with a smile. He kissed Mo Xuejingʼs forehead with eyes full of affection and said, ”Okay. Letʼs go. Go home to our children.”
