I Love Destroying Worlds' Plot

Chapter 1198: 18.36 First Grey Star - Ye Jieyeʼs Gamble

At the peak of the Twelfth Mountain...

Following their separation, Ye Jieye and Mo Xuejing went in separate directions. Ye Jieye slaughtered the first three Behemoth Carabaos with such ferocity that their blood splattered everywhere. When the blood rain started, many beasts came to this location, but they instinctively avoided the center because they sensed his deadly aura.

Ye Jieye collected all of the cut behemoth carabao meat, leaving only a pool of blood. He then flew away to hunt more behemoth carabao at this mountain peak. The other beasts only feast on the remaining blood of the Behemoth Carabao when he is no longer in this area. Ye Jieye does not care about what he left behind, genuinely not caring that this God of Void is angry right now.

His aura had direct coercion over everything around him, and none of the beasts, not even bugs, were able to move in his presence. He is like a majestic king, overlooking everything under his eyes, and a single wave of his hand can reap a thousand lives. He began hunting for the Behemoth Carabao without using the blue grasses he picked as bait and roamed around unhindered in the area.

The other beasts had gathered in this pool, drinking the blood of the peak-legend-grade ingredient, the Behemoth Carabao, to increase their own strength; Ye Jieye had no use for the numerous pools of blood left behind. However, he quickly accomplished his goal, and countless scenes of the gory death of Behemoth Carabao were set all around the Twelfth Mountain.

Seeing Ye Jieye coming, a few herds of Behemoth Carabaos bolted, needing to get away before the terrifying human aura engulfed them and stopped them from moving. Ye Jieye had hunted nearly half of all the Behemoth Carabaos, as if letting out his rage. Fortunately, he could use his wifeʼs small world, so he would not run out of inventory space.

Before the three hours were up, Ye Jieye made the decision to return to the spot where he and Mo Xuejing had agreed to meet, and on the way back, he saw the other objective of his hunt: the Rainbow Cow, another peak-class, legendary-grade ingredient. This cow is the same size as an average cow, with the exception that it has rainbow-colored fur, which is not an attribute of average cows.

The reason these adorable rainbow-colored cows were rated legendary-grade is because of their special ability to produce milk. If the cows were fed strawberries, their milk would taste like strawberries; if they were fed chocolate, their milk would taste like chocolate. They also always have fluffy, curled horns, like lambs.

Their milk was fresh and creamy and took in the flavors of the foods they were fed; if they were fed lava apples, for example, their milk would not only taste like apples but would also intensify the fire elements that the lava apple contained. If they were fed other fruits, their milk would be flavored. If one preferred plain-flavored milk, all they had to do was feed them grass.

Ye Jieye had expected to have two adult cows, but after exploring the mountain, he had only come across these two rainbow cows. He had seen two on the nearby cliff, a little one and a large one that looked like a mother and child.

”Tsk! Itʼs better than nothing.” Ye Jieye pulled these two cows into the small world owned by his wife and left.

Ye Jieye went to the entrance of the Twelfth Mountain and waited for Mo Xuejing. Ye Jieye returned early to the meeting place. At least thirty minutes remain before the three-hour time limit. Ye Jieye was about to take a nap when he saw Mo Xuejing walking toward him. Despite his small stature, this young masterʼs strength was comparable to Ye Jieyeʼs.

Two adult rainbow cows were tied up upside down like pigs on the wooden log. Ye Jieye is delighted with such unexpected surprises. Their family now had enough cows. A pair to be left on the island on that Earth Forest turtle shell, the mother and child behind his restaurant.

The eyes of these two cows were dazed, as if they could not believe someone would treat them similarly to how pigs are roasted, and they were now questioning life.

Ye Jieye said, ”You also found some. Thatʼs good. Give it to me to handle the rest.”

”Um? Where are you going to put it? We cannot put anything alive in the space inventory,” Mo Xuejing said.

Reaching out his right hand in front of Mo Xuejing, Ye Jieye decided to test something and said, ”There is somewhere I want you to come with me. It is a secret no one knows and only I and the children can enter it. Do you want to come with me?”

A little taken aback, Mo Xuejing turned to face Ye Jieye and stared into his obsidian eyes, wondering aloud if the red streak of light he had seen earlier had really been an illusion. He did not even consider his options as he extended his hand above Ye Jieyeʼs as if possessed.

In a split second, the scenery that surrounds him changed from rock formation cliffs to a vibrant forest and a huge old, ancient mansion in front of him.

Mo Xuejing said, ”Eh? Where is this place? Wow, is that an ancient mansion? Amazing! I only saw this kind of house in old history photos.” He was looking around so excitedly that he didnʼt even notice the stunned look of the man in front of him.

Ye Jieye was taken aback. When he had held Mo Xuejingʼs hand just now, he had not intended to bring Mo Xuejing into the small world with his consent. If he is really an outsider, Mo Xuejing will be left behind in the real world, and only Ye Jieye will enter the small world. Hei Anjing is the only person who can enter this small world and be the same person that he is.

Now that Mo Xuejing has managed to enter it on his own, he is certain that Mo Xuejing is his wifeʼs incarnation, but for some reason he is lacking.

It had been months since he and his kids had come to this world, and his first order to Zhi Yue and Zhi Yang was to search the database and try to locate candidates for his wifeʼs incarnation; however, no matter how hard the two systems searched the world database, they were unable to locate a match.

Ye Jieye felt that Chaos, who had drawn him into this body, had personally erased these traces, making it more difficult for him to locate his wifeʼs incarnation.

It is not surprising that Mo Xuejing has returned. When he was given the memories of the first Ye Jieye, he realized that Mo Xuejing was an enemy to his vessel, which is why he cut him off and chose to ignore him.

However, it is surprising that the cubs who accompanied him into this world would bring him back because he is the type of person who stays in their home because the kids would cry if he left.

Now that he finally understood everything, those gestures brought back memories of his own: the attachment his children felt to him even though they were supposed to be strangers, and his reluctance to push the person away. He could not bear to hurt him, much less see him suffer, so he closed his eyes, allowed everything he would not normally allow, and allowed Mo Xuejing to remain by his side.

He even noticed the shifts in his feelings toward him, but he refused to accept them since they were unjust to him; after all, he had vowed all his life to his wife and the other half, Hei Anjing.

Mo Xuejing was willing to remain in this position; separated by a line, he was willing to stay in this way; his only wish is to stand by his side. He was moved but unwilling to break his vow. He still did not accept Mo Xuejingʼs feelings but allowed him to do as he pleased. Ye Jieye was not sure if Mo Xuejing was his wifeʼs incarnation.

There are similarities, but that familiar attraction when meeting his wifeʼs incarnation is not there. So Ye Jieye chose to ignore everything and live as if nothing that was supposed to involve his heart existed.

It was unexpected that he remembered the small world he and his wife shared. Both of them can enter that place anytime they want, but to bring the others in, they need to give permission. This hesitation of his hurt not only Mo Xuejing for pretending not to care, but him too, who could not bear to see this person hurt, especially if he was the cause.

He could only bury the unknown emotions in his heart. For this reason, he said it is better if Mo Xuejing is his wifeʼs incarnation because he will not need to choose to hurt him like this.

Ye Jieye gambled on Mo Xuejing, who appears to be his wife but is not at the same time. If Mo Xuejing is really his wifeʼs incarnation, then he should be able to enter the small world even without permission. This was Ye Jieyeʼs decision and the gamble he took. If Mo Xuejing cannot enter the world, he will end their relationship.

However, an unexpected thing happened: Mo Xuejingʼs ability to enter this small world without permission is sufficient evidence that he is his wifeʼs incarnation; the only issue is that he is missing something. Despite this, Ye Jieye was shocked by the outcome.

This result is one in ten thousand. He is already seventy percent certain that Mo Xuejing had nothing to do with his wife. There is no soul resonance. His heart would only occasionally skip a beat, not the pounding heartbeat in the presence of his beloved. The gestures that Mo Xuejing would occasionally make were something he had grown accustomed to, as if they had lost their power to affect him.

Now that this outcome is entirely unanticipated, he is speechless.

After a moment of shock, Ye Jieye is now overjoyed. All of his feelings of fear and rejection have vanished, leaving only feelings of love and longing. Now that all of the negative emotions have vanished, a small amount of sadness has lingered alongside his happiness, causing him to cry uncontrollably.

All he can do is stare at Me Xuejingʼs excited figure as he surveys the area, not daring to blink, as if he is terrified that the beauty in front of him will vanish in an instant.

But Mo Xuejing, who was still holding Ye Jieyeʼs hand, was staring at the paradise that unfolded before his eyes: too many things he had never seen before, a cleaner, more tranquil atmosphere, an ancient mansion that drew his attention more than anything else, and an eagerness to explore that area that was tempered by the knowledge that the place was not his own, so all he could do was ask the owner who stood beside him.

Mo Xuejing said, ”AʼYe, can we go inside that ancient mansion? Iʼve been interested in this kind of architecture.” He finally turned around and looked at Ye Jieye.

His heart began to race, and a twinge of pain struck his heart upon seeing the manʼs tears, and he was shocked to see tears streaming down his dashing face as his black eyes had a shade of garnet spreading from the depths of his obsidian eyes. Ye Jieye stared at him with eyes full of love and yearning, something he had never seen before.

Mo Xuejing worriedly asked, ”Why are you crying? Are you hurting somewhere? Letʼs go call Guang to check on you!” He even tried to use both of his hands to help Ye Jieye wipe his tears.

Ye Jieye was so familiar with the gentleness of his response to his tears that he felt compelled to laugh, even though he was crying too. He caught the hand that was wiping his tear, pulled it toward him, and kissed Mo Xuejingʼs palms, causing Mo Xuejing to blush and want to pull back his hand, only for the manʼs other hand to grip his hand tightly like the other.

Ye Jieye mumbles, ”Itʼs you. Iʼm not wrong this time. I was never wrong right from the beginning. You are him. You are my Jingʼer. My wife~.”

Mo Xuejing was dumbfounded by Ye Jieyeʼs statements. He could not understand a word, and he did not understand why Ye Jieye was referring to him as his wife. Why could he not grasp anything at all? What was going on here?

”I found you. I finally found you.”

Ye Jieye tightly hugged him, as though this was the only thing that could make his irregular heartbeat stop.
