I Love Destroying Worlds' Plot

Chapter 1178: 18.16 First Grey Star - Renewal of Hunter License

Gourmet Hunter Hallʼs Testing Facilities

Ye Jieye saw this personʼs timidity and the obvious fear in the staff memberʼs eyes after he met them. It can be said that most of the staff at the hall saw his cruelty toward that rude hunter who dared to accuse him of coming in through the backdoor. He was punished for his actions and is currently receiving treatment at the Hallʼs clinic.

Since Ye Jieye renewed his license as a Soloist, the Gourmet Hunter Hall needs to record his most recent status in order to get approval for the highest rank as a soloist or to change to another level. In addition, he requested to have his name changed to Ye Jieye, so it is more like a new license than a renewal.

Ye Jieye is currently standing in front of a massive machine that measures strength; it resembles a punching machine in which the force of his punch would be the measurement for his strength record.

”Sir, this is the power measurement machine. Please punch it as strong as possible, and I will take a record,” the staff politely explained.

Ye Jieye looked at the brittle machine before himself and asked, ”If I broke this thing I wonʼt need to pay for it, right?”

”Broke? Ah! Yes, of course, you donʼt need to pay for it if you can really break it.”

The staff was a little taken aback by what he said, asking themselves, ʼHow can Ye Jieye destroy this power machine that can even measure the strength of the Five Heavenly Guardians?ʼ.

Ye Jieye approached it and cast a glance at the device, which, to him, seemed like a toy. ”Even a fist is too much. Should I just flick it?” he mumbled which was overheard by the staff not far from them.

Flick!

BANG!!!

The staff was taken aback when Ye Jieye actually chose to use his fingers rather than his fist. He gave the machine a single flick, but all that came out was a sound, and just as they were about to tell him to do it correctly, he saw the punching machine explode, leaving a hole in the wall and dust instead of the expected debris that was supposed to fly everywhere.

The cafeteria was located on the other side of the thick wall, and the hole allowed the people in the two rooms to see each other.

”Even a finger is too much. I told you this toy is brittle.”

Ye Jieye glanced at the staff member who is supposed to be recording his statistics, then looked at his finger that was covered in dust and clicked his tongue. He used a tissue to wipe the dust off the tip of his finger.

”Whatʼs the next test? Letʼs all do it at the same time. I need to go back soon and cook for my children,” Ye Jieye said.

The staff was dumbfounded as he stared at the hole and even engaged in a staring contest with the person on the other side. After hearing Ye Jieyeʼs explanation, he monotonously explained how the other machines worked, and as was to be expected, all of them broke.

After Ye Jieye had made the new license, which was in the shape of a five-petaled flower, the staff handed it to Ye Jieye with two hands and nearly knelt before this frightening hunter.

”Sir Ye, here is... Y-Your license card.”

Ye Jieye accepted it, knowing well that a high-ranking Soloist such as himself have special access to first-hand knowledge of the ingredients he desires and whether any new ingredients have surfaced.

”Do you know anything about the rumors in the Tornado Mountain Ranges?” Ye Jieye asked.

The staff responded, ”Y-Yes. Itʼs said itʼs a new ingredient with a dual wind and fire elements.”

”I see. Thank you. Iʼll go now.” Ye Jieye said.

”Let me see you out, Sir!”

The employees of the hall escorted Ye Jieye as they left, and on their way out, they even happened to run into someone whom the president of the Gourmet Hunter Hall was with. This person is an elderly man with sharp eyes and somewhat fierce features; everyone who sees him avoids looking into his eyes.

Ye Jieye, who was on his way, witnessed this scene, but his apathetic eyes remained calm and indifferent even when he met that elderly man who looked at him with a meaningful gaze.

Ye Jieye arched his brows slightly and strode by the elderly guy without fear, leaving the president next to the man speechless, as though what he had been expecting had been entirely different from what had actually transpired.

The staff of the hall lowered their backs as they saw Ye Jieye.

”Please come back anytime, Sir Ye.”

The Gourmet Hunter Hall president glanced at the man next to him, observing the look of clear uncertainty on his face as Ye Jieye passed by and pondered for a moment.

This old man glanced at the President of this hall and said, ”Letʼs talk in your office.”

”Y-Yes, sure. This way please, Heavenly Guardian Lu.”

---

Such a short instance wasnʼt put in mind by Ye Jieye. He went to the borders of the capital and summoned Roi. It seems that in this world, his quantum beast Roi was treated as his contract beast or a pet. There are a lot of prying eyes in the distance watching all his movements which Ye Jieye turns a blind eye to.

”Roi, come over.”

A giant black dragon erupted from the torn gap in the blue sky, frightening everyone in the region save for his summoner. A tear emerged in the sky, followed by the deafening roaring of a big beast.

ROOOAAARRR~

A dragon beast is considered a mythical or God-grade ingredient regardless of whether it is edible or not, so when he summoned such a huge black dragon, everyone was stunned and terrified. Furthermore, what he had summoned was not an ordinary beast but a Hell Beast Chaotic Dragon, whose danger level is much higher than the World Devouring Mastiff everyone knows as Oreo.

Ye Jieye climbed up on the Dragonʼs head and flew away under everyoneʼs eyes.

”Go back home.”

ROOOAAARRR~~

The moment the dragon departed, the people in the shadows began to shake with shock, unable to believe that Satan had actually made a comeback.

This Hell Black Dragon is the most cherished companion of the King of Hell; even if hunters were unaware of his appearance, they were familiar with the notorious mount of Satan because, in the past, Satan had concealed his face behind a half-mask, making only a select few in the Hunter Society aware of his true appearance.

”Itʼs really Satan.”

”Satan is back. He is truly back!”

”We need to inform the others. We must never overlap with his Hunting Target or we wonʼt even know how we die.”

”If Satan is back, how about the Ice Devil?”

”Ice Devil? You mean Lord Winter arenʼt you? Now that you said it, it was said that Lord Winter and Satan used to get along and fight all the time. They also disappeared at the same time. But only Satan had come back. Donʼt you think Lord Winter is...”

”Sshss! Donʼt mention that man anymore! I heard anyone who was heard by the Mo Clan who mentioned Lord Winter was imprisoned or killed. Watch your mouth.”

”Didnʼt they say that Lord Winter and Lord Snow are connected?”

”Isnʼt it because they have the same element and both from the Mo Clan? Maybe relatives...”

”Whatever... Iʼm more worried about the rumors in the Tornado Mountain Ranges. I wonder if itʼs true... That a new ingredient will be born there.”

”If itʼs a new ingredient do you think Satan will go too?”

”If he goes, what can we still get? We might just get killed. Letʼs forget about it.”

Back in the Gourmet Hunter Hall,

The Presidentʼs Office...

The Heavenly Guardian of the Lu Clan, Lord Lu Wangle, the biological grandfather of Lu Shang and the protagonist Gong, Lu Ming, was invited by Gourmet Hunter Hall President Xu Hudie. The Heavenly Guardian appeared to be lost in thought as President Xu served him coffee.

The first-ranked ingredient, Grim Reaperʼs Coffee Plant, only grows a thousand meters up a cliff somewhere in the Tornado Mountain Ranges; its location is a danger zone both on land and in the sky; to obtain it, one must wall climb a sleek mountain with a raging wind blowing constantly and a deep abyss below.

Additionally, it is a special preparation ingredient, so the only people who can capture it are Soloist Hunter, who is also a chef who understands how to prepare and preserve a special ingredient. Xu Hudie did not stop this old man from thinking, and he also enjoyed his coffee.

The president was enjoying his high-grade coffee when suddenly the old man in front of him started talking.

Heavenly Guardian, Lu Wangle said, ”I donʼt know how that bratʼs ability returned. Moreover, it is a lot stronger than before.”

”Even the Heavenly Guardian doesnʼt know?” said President Xu Hudie.

Since Hudie is one of Heavenly Guardian Muʼs apprentices, he is genuinely opposed to this Heavenly Guardian Lu, who harbors animosity toward his master. However, Hudie is required to be tolerant of his adversaries as President of the Gourmet Hunter Hall, so he can only express his disapproval with a small amount of sarcasm.

The elderly man appears accustomed to this, taking no offense at the young manʼs sarcastic demeanor because he is, after all, Mu Zangʼs student.

Lu Wangle said, ”That bratʼs memories havenʼt returned yet. But his abilities and power had been unsealed, I donʼt know what Mu Zang had done but that brat wouldnʼt remember his past for now. But things wouldnʼt be simple if the Mo Clan learned about it.”

”So what if they know? Xiao Ye and his children live in Numen Town. Unless they wanted to confront the master themselves then itʼs impossible to move him.” Xu Hudie said.

The old man frowned for a bit and said, ”What about if he is outside Numen?”

”There is no problem about that as well. Senior should see this...”

Just today, President Xue Hudie broke Ye Jieyeʼs testing record in strength, speed, and elemental; all three were unheard of, leaving Lu Wangle speechless.

”Are all of these true!?” The Old Heavenly Guardian Lu exclaimed in disbelief. This is a record even beyond the ones a Heavenly Guardian had left behind. In short, the current Ye Jieye has a power that is equal to or beyond what a Heavenly Guardian can have.

”Those are freshly recorded. He came here to renew his license with his new name.” President Xu Hudie said. He was speechless when he first saw it; it was so unbelievable that he had to watch the recording of the whole test itself. What he had witnessed left him astonished.

Heavenly Guardian Lu Wangle asked, ”What is his name now?”

”Ye Jieye,” President Xu Hudie answered.

”Ye Clan. He chose to follow his motherʼs name ka...”

Meanwhile at the Somatic Town...

Su Jin and Lu Ming left the police station without going straight back to the cafe, preferring to spend their time strolling around the marketplace. Since Su Jin was reborn, everything that appeared before him felt both unique and surreal, like a dream he had forgotten and then dreamed about again.

Before his predetermined death in his previous life, he realized that everything that happened to him was the karma of those evil things he did in the past and that he was being hunted in the future. He also noticed that Ji Yoonjun did not fall in love with Lu Ming, at first sight, this time, which must be because of those drunkards that did not exist in that timeline but existed in this life.

Nevertheless, he chooses to give everything he has to Lu Ming but has no intention of hurting his friend, Ji Yoonjun.

The young man looked sad and nostalgic to Lu Ming, who was watching Su Jin next to him. He could not understand why a young man would have eyes that looked as though they had been abandoned by the world once. Lu Ming wanted to ask but decided against it because their relationship was not deep enough for him to ask this young manʼs secret in passing.

However, Su Jinʼs melancholic expression gave him a mysterious feeling that attracted him more, so he decided to take his time.

”The sun is about to set. Shall we go back to the cafe?” Lu Ming asked with a gentle smile.

This smile on a handsome man made Su Jin blush and shyly said, ”Y-Yes, letʼs go back.”
