His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 2087: Chapter 595: Uneasy (Part 2)

The Elder from the Jing Family initially didn’t want to talk, but upon thinking of the dishes at Jixiang Restaurant, his mood suddenly improved a bit.

”Hmm! Alright, the private room was already booked in advance. Shall I also order the dishes now?”

”Just the three of us, why bother with a private room? The hall on the second floor is great, you can even watch the performance on the stage below.”

Qin Mu...

The Elder from the Mu Family hadn’t come out yet, but the Elder from the Jing Family was called back in again. Qin Mu hurriedly called Jixiang Restaurant: ”I’m the one who booked the Feng Pavilion this morning; do you have any space on the second floor hall? Preferably, the best spot to watch the show.”

”Sorry, it’s already booked.”

The voice from the phone was gentle, but still a refusal.

Booked?

Booked?

She thought the elders wanted some quiet, to talk conveniently, but unexpectedly, the Elder from the Jing Family wanted to sit outside, sigh.

Now what to do?

”Could you contact them by phone, I’ll treat them to lunch, and say it’s an emergency for Mu Yichen.”

No choice but to mention her husband.

Not long after, she got a call: ”It’s booked by Gongzhi Family’s young master; this family should have connections with the Mu Family.”

Gongzhi Ping’an?

After much effort, Qin Mu finally managed to book the spot.

The consultation room generally doesn’t allow people other than those doing checkups inside, but somehow, the elder from the Mu Family stayed in with the elder from the Jing Family till the check-up was done.

Qin Mu looked on from the window, couldn’t help but snap a photo of them supporting each other. Though not sure what they were saying, or if they were bickering, it was such a wonderful scene.

Qin Mu secretly saved the photo, feeling envious yet grateful that they could mutually accompany each other like this.

After several more check-ups, when almost done, Qin Mu called Helian Hao: ”I’m done with Grandpa here; let’s meet in the parking lot later. Don’t drive yourself, take mine.”

”You took them for check-ups yourself? You’re impressive!”

Helian Hao, lounging in the office, fiddled with her work badge while answering.

”Don’t flatter me, I’m hanging up now!”

Seeing the old man finished with his check-up, Qin Mu promptly hung up the call.

At noon, the four went to Jixiang Restaurant, Qin Mu and Helian Hao at the front, the two old men in the back.

Helian Hao, upon hearing their location was pre-booked by Gongzhi Ping’an, couldn’t help but drop her jaw, then whispered to Qin Mu: ”Really? He booked it for you?”

”He booked it for himself, but we’re using it now.”

Qin Mu whispered to her, a delightful twist of fate.

Helian Hao still in disbelief, nodded, thinking it’s all for the grandpas’ happiness.

”But why didn’t you directly book a room in the hall?”

Helian Hao couldn’t help but quietly criticize her.

”I’ve accompanied Grandpa twice, always in a private room!”

Qin Mu was almost in tears, who’d have thought the Elder from the Jing Family enjoyed opera.

”Let me tell you, our family’s old man is just like ancient court styles - never likes private rooms, prefers being outside, admired by all, yet gives the illusion of not wanting to stand out!”

Qin Mu was amused yet helpless, but ultimately the four were seated at the best spot on the second floor.

The two old men sat in front, while they sat on the side, four chairs, four sets of utensils.

The old men were happily watching the show, while Qin Mu couldn’t comprehend what they were singing. Helian Hao couldn’t resist quietly teasing her, but in front of the elders, they didn’t speak much, truly just serving tea.

In such a place, even just sipping tea seems indulgent. The Elder from the Jing Family was particularly enthralled, while the Elder from the Mu Family, if not for the delicious food, might have fallen asleep.

”Upon hearing the two grandpas came for a meal, Ping’an specially came to offer a toast to both grandpas.”

Gongzhi Ping’an brought white liquor over, respectfully speaking, but first looked at Qin Mu sitting beside the elder from the Mu Family.

For using his spot, Qin Mu nodded amicably.

Gongzhi Ping’an gave her a faint smile, then promptly looked at the elders, who glanced at him: ”Little An Zi, you’re also here for a meal?”

The Elder from the Mu Family asked, then glanced at the stage, as a segment he was familiar with was being performed, feeling engaged.

”Indeed!”

Gongzhi Ping’an replied.

”Grandpa, this seat was originally his.”
