His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 2060: Chapter 587: Subordinates Must Understand the Rules (Second Update)

”Don’t do anything else this afternoon, go home and rest!”

Mu Yichen suddenly spoke as she was leaving.

Yang Qin paused in her steps as she held the files and looked back at him: ”Rest?”

”I heard you got drunk last night! Yang Qin, if you can’t control yourself, you don’t need to appear in front of me!”

This time Mu Yichen lifted his eyes to look at her, his gaze cold as a knife.

Yang Qin unconsciously felt a bit uncomfortable in her throat, then quietly lowered her head: ”Yes!”

Mu Yichen withdrew his gaze and got up to walk towards the window as Yang Qin turned to leave.

But Yang Qin knew in her heart that Mu Yichen was annoyed with her!

She was unprofessional!

Yang Qin suddenly felt a bit disgusted with herself, how could she be so clumsy?

Or perhaps, she really ought to be in love?

Is it that she doesn’t believe in love too much, or does she distrust men too much, that she has brought herself to this situation, and now, has fallen into a secret admiration for her boss.

Yang Qin thought, she might really be lacking in love!

But who could truly love her? A colleague downstairs?

No! She won’t stay long here, so it’s better not to provoke anyone!

Yang Qin didn’t go back to rest, nor did she go to knock on Mu Yichen’s door, she didn’t even pour him a cup of tea, since he didn’t want to see her.

An afternoon seemed to pass quickly, and after work hours ended, Mu Yichen left without looking sideways, and Yang Qin also kept her head down without saying goodbye.

After work, colleagues asked her to join them for dinner, and she readily agreed: ”Sure!”

The few colleagues were surprised when she agreed to their casually mentioned invitation, everyone looked at her unexpectedly.

”What? Don’t you want me to join you anymore?”

Yang Qin asked awkwardly but politely.

”Of course not! We’re just surprised you finally agreed to eat with us, come on, today we’re going to have French cuisine!”

Yang Qin bowed her head and followed them out of the office building.

Qiao Yi and Zhao Huai came out from inside and couldn’t help but stand there, watching the women walk away into the distance. Qiao Yi muttered: ”Is that Yang Qin?”

”It’s her alright! But why is she suddenly mixing with those girls?”

Zhao Huai asked curiously.

”I’m wondering too!”

The two men stood with hands in pockets in front of the office building, puzzled.

After work, Mu Yichen drove home. He hadn’t gone back the previous day after drinking too much and expected Feng Fanghua’s nagging when he returned today, but found she wasn’t home. He instinctively smiled, relieved!

Mu Yichen went to the playroom and saw the two little ones throwing balls at each other, so he asked: ”Where’s your grandmother?”

”Grandma went to dine with another grandma! She said you and mom should fend for yourselves at home.”

Huanhuan stopped throwing the ball to her brother and conveyed grandma’s murmured words.

Upon hearing this, Mu Yichen moved his eyebrows slightly, then sighed helplessly.

Fend for ourselves?

He liked this kind of ”fend for ourselves.”

”Sister, serve the ball quickly!”

The two used a round paddle, Huanhuan hurriedly served the ball, yet Chengcheng always couldn’t catch it, and this time due to a slight carelessness, she stepped back on the ball, directly falling on her bottom.

Mu Yichen didn’t hear a cry, only as he was leaving did he hear his daughter laughing, so he stepped back, standing at the door, seeing the little girl inside laughing, leaning forward and backward, while her precious brother sat in a pile of ocean balls, looking at his sister helplessly.

Mu Yichen went upstairs, and seeing Qin Mu indeed in the study drawing, he went inside.

”Back?”

Qin Mu was quite pleased to see him return after several hours since Mu Yichen had gone to the office in the afternoon.

”Yes!”

Mu Yichen stepped forward, seeing her still drawing, couldn’t help but sigh lightly: ”Aren’t you tired of drawing every day?”

”Not tired!”

Qin Mu’s eyes were fixed on the computer.

Mu Yichen thought to himself his attraction couldn’t surpass a drawing, sighed helplessly again, then straightened up to watch her work from behind.

”We see each other every day; are you tired of me?”

Qin Mu suddenly turned to look at him with the question.

”Tired!”

Mu Yichen’s dark eyes gazed at her, his thin lips didn’t move, but Qin Mu heard the word very clearly.

However, she wasn’t displeased, instead, she smiled happily.

If he’s tired of rolling around with her every day, then let him continue to be tired!

During dinner, the old master, Mu Zihao, and the kids ate with him. Feng Fanghua was not home for dinner for once, and the old master couldn’t help but say after sipping his soup: ”Rarely is my daughter-in-law not home, so...”

”You’ve had high blood pressure recently, maybe next time!”

Although Mu Zihao also felt it’s rare that his wife is not home, it would be quite improper for them to break rules immediately after she just left.

”Humph! What high blood pressure? I’m fine! Just admit you’re afraid of your wife!”

The old master was unhappy.

Qin Mu and Mu Yichen merely listened without speaking.

But the two little ones listened intently, Huanhuan sipped some juice, then looked up at the old master: ”Great-grandpa, do you want a drink?”

”How does our Little Huanhuan know great-grandpa wants to drink?”

”Hehe! Because I’m a little worm in great-grandpa’s tummy! But I’m still grandma’s little soldier, you know, before leaving, grandma told me not to let great-grandpa drink, saying it’s bad for his health.”

Huanhuan’s little mouth babbled, saying things smoothly without upset anyone.

The old master couldn’t help smiling after listening, truly not wanting the children to see him drink.

”Then great-grandpa won’t drink, but it’s not because I’m listening to your grandma, it’s because I’m listening to our Little Huanhuan!”

The old master said lovingly, looking at Huanhuan.

”Yes! Great-grandpa is good, great-grandpa is awesome! If you want to drink something, then drink juice like me!”

Huanhuan looked towards the kitchen: ”Aunt Zhang, please pour my great-grandpa some juice.”

”I want some too!”

While they were speaking, Chengcheng finished his cup, and hearing his sister ask for great-grandpa, he quickly held his cup with both hands and asked for a refill.

”Alright, everyone gets some!”

Auntie came out carrying a big cup, helping them with juice.

”Our Miss Huanhuan is truly becoming more and more intelligent and adorable. Previously, whoever dared to stop the old master from drinking would get an earful, but now Huanhuan persuades him, and he immediately turns into a loving grandpa. Huanhuan, you must persuade your great-grandpa often in the future!”

Auntie said while refilling her juice.

”Yes! I will!”

Huanhuan nodded forcefully, suddenly feeling like she was the little angel of the house, especially significant and mission-driven.

However, in the future, the old master’s drinking would perhaps need more secrecy. At the dining table, the topic would easily be brought up and reminded by the kids.

The old master felt resigned but couldn’t go against his great-grandchildren, as he was the elder; he thought to himself, I’d better secretly stash a couple of bottles in the room from now on.

After dinner, Feng Fanghua returned and called Qin Mu to her room, Mu Yichen took the kids to their room, then returned to his own bedroom, leaned on the headboard waiting for Qin Mu to come back.

Qiao Yi’s meaning he understood, about Yang Qin, does Qin Mu need him to explain?

Mu Yichen played with his phone, hearing the door open, deep black eyes shooting toward the door.
