His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 2052: Chapter 585: President Mu Praised for His Skills (Second Update)

When Mu Yichen arrived at the shop, the staff whispered greetings to him, while some tried to avoid him. Mu Yichen knew the girls at the shop were afraid of him. Thinking about it made him chuckle; it would be perfect if all women just steered clear of him when they saw him.

That way, he could focus on being a frog in the well, and his wife wouldn’t have to worry about other women trying to steal him away.

Other men hope their woman gets jealous, though he sometimes enjoys watching her get jealous, but when it happens too often, he truly feels he can’t bear it.

Mu Yichen walked upstairs with his hands in his pockets.

Upon gently pushing the door open, he saw his wife standing by the table, leaning over it with both arms resting on it, holding a white pen in one hand and a ruler in the other, earnestly drawing on a piece of cloth.

Whether she’s serious or not, she always captivates him.

Mu Yichen walked up to her quietly, without interrupting, and watched as her eyes were fixed on the cloth while she picked up the scissors next to her. He couldn’t help but feel a bit distressed—how could her hands, those delicate hands, wield such rough tools?

Yet she not only held them but did so skillfully; her hands were so slender and beautiful, though they often handled hefty tools.

Mu Yichen suddenly felt he asked too much from her, even requiring her to make clothes for him by hand; the calluses on her palms never seemed to fade.

”This looks like a men’s jacket; who’s so lucky to get this?”

Mu Yichen suddenly asked, his voice soft, not disturbing.

Qin Mu didn’t pause from using the scissors, but a smile curled at her lips: ”Not many people are that lucky! Can’t you even guess?”

Qin Mu chuckled as she spoke to him.

”Couldn’t it be that Mu kid, huh?”

Mu Yichen picked up a corner of the fabric, raised his eyebrows slightly, asked while giving her a scrutinizing look.

Qin Mu tried to hide her smile, but her eyes couldn’t conceal it.

”Of course it’s that kid!”

Qin Mu replied, not even looking at him.

Until she set the scissors down, slowly straightened up, and supported her long-bent old waist with both hands: ”Oh! My poor old waist!”

Mu Yichen went behind her, his actions halfway between a hug and a massage: ”Feeling better?”

”Mmm!”

Qin Mu agreed, finally able to lean against his chest.

Mu Yichen held her and gently said: ”I’ll give you a proper massage tonight!”

”I’m scared you’ll scatter my bones to pieces, better not!”

Qin Mu held back a laugh to refuse him, thinking come nightfall, you’re neither gentleman nor beast, Mu—by night you’re a vivid beast.

”Is my technique that bad?”

Mu Yichen bit her ear asking.

”Your technique isn’t bad at all, it’s rather exceptionally good.”

Qin Mu seriously praised him, yet couldn’t help finally bursting into laughter after.

”Seeing your mischievous smile, I know my technique has to be great!”

Mu Yichen kissed her ear softly, watching her smile so brightly, the beast within him struggled not to come out.

”Enough, let go of me, tidy up and let’s head home!”

Qin Mu couldn’t take his breath lingering by her ear any longer, her heart tingled—the daily teasing from Mu couldn’t be handled.

Mu Yichen reluctantly released her, wanting to go home together, yet somehow not wanting to end the moment.

As they headed downstairs, they noticed Wang Li at the counter helping with billing, Wang Li habitually nodded seeing Qin Mu: ”Heading off already?”

”Mmm! Call if anything comes up!”

Qin Mu replied softly, advising her.

”Nothing’s going to happen!”

Wang Li smiled at her, her words light yet loaded, making Qin Mu feel a rush of excitement, thinking: Is there a plot twist?

Once outside, Qin Mu asked Mu Yichen to get the car, walking to Xiang Hang’s car nearby, Xiang Hang opened the window.

”Don’t follow me this afternoon!”

Qin Mu greeted him with a bow, smiling as she spoke.

Xiang Hang looked baffled then laughed: ”Call me anytime if you need!”

Qin Mu nodded, then got into Mu Yichen’s car, and they left, Mu Yichen asked her on the road: ”Busy with their matters again?”

”It’s not me who’s busy! It’s them, giving each other closure!”

Qin Mu explained.

Mu Yichen glanced at her: ”Closure? You expect Xiang Hang to give a woman closure?”

”Mm!”

Qin Mu saw his skepticism but felt confident, nodding modestly.

Mu Yichen chuckled, continued driving home, Qin Mu couldn’t help eyeing his demeanor, her small pride and confidence were unmistakably visible on her face.
