His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 2073: Chapter 591: Bumping Right Into His Arms (Second Update)_4

”What’s there to feel sorry about? With your advertising fees, I could buy so many clothes!”

Qin Mu always knew that among herself, Wen Runuan, and Li Yu, she was the one who always benefited.

It was strange; ever since Wen Runuan became popular, no one could surpass her momentum in the past few years, even though she didn’t act much anymore. Li Yu, although he was down for a while due to the car accident, still has millions of fans waiting for his comeback.

After Wen Runuan picked out her clothes, she left to have dinner with her husband. Qin Mu was also preparing to leave, conveniently picking up a jacket for each elder to leave in the car. Before leaving, she said to Xiang Hang, ”Don’t follow me tonight. Why not wait for Sister Li to get off work here?”

”She closes after nine, and it’ll be just right for me to drop you off and return.”

Xiang Hang said, work is a priority, something he never forgets.

Qin Mu, helplessly: ”Alright then!”

Qin Mu’s car was in front, his was behind.

Wang Li saw off the guests, standing at the door, smiling happily as Xiang Hang left with Qin Mu, knowing he would soon serve as her bodyguard.

On her way home, the street lights were already shining.

As the city lights came on, she lifted her eyes, seeing the lights form a beautiful arc, as if in a dream.

Mu Yichen called, and she answered on speaker.

”When will you be home?”

”In about twenty minutes?”

The city was congested, Qin Mu pondered before responding.

”Alright!”

Mu Yichen agreed.

”How about you?”

Qin Mu asked him.

”I’m waiting for you at the doorstep!”

Mu Yichen was already at the Mu Family gate, parked to the side, stretching his legs while talking to his wife.

”Since you’re home, just go inside. Xiang Hang is with me, no need to worry.”

Qin Mu suggested, concerned he might wait too long.

”I’m waiting because I’m worried about you?”

Mu Yichen asked, somewhat displeased.

”Oh, what else then?”

Qin Mu wondered.

”Of course, because I miss you!”

After a moment of reflection, Mu Yichen told her the truth.

Qin Mu held her breath, unexpected yet thrilled by his confession. Although Mu Yichen couldn’t witness her gentle smile and happiness as he wasn’t by her side.

”Then wait as long as you need!”

Finally, Qin Mu pretended to be nonchalant.

After the call ended, Mu Yichen continued to wait patiently, while Qin Mu accelerated all the way.

Strangely enough, after Mu Yichen’s call, there were no stops at any intersections, just green lights, reducing the expected twenty-plus minutes to merely ten.

Upon arriving, Qin Mu waved to Xiang Hang behind her; seeing Mu Yichen’s car ahead, Xiang Hang turned away. Qin Mu slowly drove alongside Mu Yichen’s car and opened her window.

Mu Yichen was playing a game; upon hearing her, he turned his head as his window lowered.

”Hi! Good evening, Mr. Mu!”

Qin Mu cheerfully greeted him from inside her car window.

Mu Yichen raised an eyebrow in wonder and asked, ”How did you get here so fast?”

”Missing you in advance, I couldn’t wait.”

Qin Mu thought for a moment and responded.

Mu Yichen chuckled, then started his car.

Qin Mu drove inside first; he leisurely followed behind.

Both cars parked at the garage, meeting in front.

Qin Mu’s eyes sparkled, looking at the man before her; his eyes carried some reproach, guessing he was worried she drove too fast.

”Don’t drive that fast again!”

Mu Yichen held her hand, his tone serious in the dark.

”Silly! Why would I drive fast on purpose? Your call made all the lights green, allowing me to get back so quickly, Xiang Hang was with me the whole time. If you don’t believe, ask him.”

Qin Mu giggled with pride, explaining to Mu Yichen.

”It’s Xiang Hang again; how many good deeds did that kid do in his past life to follow you in this one?”

Mu Yichen asked, unable to hide his jealousy.

Qin Mu moved closer, embracing him, resting against his chest, speaking softly: ”Isn’t it our Mr. Mu who gave him the chance? Though he’s a bodyguard, absolutely incomparable to our Mr. Mu.”

Mu Yichen lowered his gaze slightly, realizing her words were placating him excessively, which didn’t align with Qin Mu’s usual style. When did she start seeking to please him this way?

After a long silence from him, Qin Mu tilted her head up to see his face, whispering: ”It’s a bit chilly, shall we go inside?”

Mu Yichen held her without moving: ”I don’t want to go inside!”

”Hmm? You wouldn’t... Oh right, Zhao Huai mentioned your scheme against Yang Qin?”

”Let’s go inside!”

Just as Qin Mu asked, Mu Yichen suddenly let her go.

Qin Mu...

However, this suited her well; Qin Mu remained silent, following him indoors.

As Mu Yichen approached the doorway, aided by the nearby light, he suddenly turned.

Qin Mu couldn’t react in time, directly colliding into his embrace: ”Ah! My head!”

”Did you do that on purpose just now?”

Mu Yichen cradled her face, disregarding her slight injury, insistently questioning her.

”What purpose? Isn’t it never happened?”
