His Beloved Treasure

”You’re still young! Aren’t you happy being with me?”

Mu Yichen suddenly grabbed her hand, turning around to seriously ask her.

Qin Mu was taken aback, her beautiful eyes looking at the tenderness in his eyes, unconsciously feeling the illusion that he seemed to pity her twenty years.

”Of course, I’m happy!”

Said to him instinctively.

”Fool!”

Mu Yichen chided her, yet held her hand, walking together in sync behind the children.

The deep autumn trees had shed their leaves, but their intertwined hands were exceptionally clear.

”Dad, Mom, hurry, sister said there are lots of little monkeys ahead!”

Huanhuan suddenly began to run, and Chengcheng turned to call Qin Mu and Mu Yichen, before also running with Huanhuan.

A few adults walked ahead with the children, soon arriving at the place with many beautiful little monkeys.

”Finally understand why a person is described as skinny as a monkey!”

Mu Yichen squinted his eyes slightly as he looked into the deep pit, speaking.

Qin Mu looked up at him, smiling.

While she was surveying the figures of her son and daughter, she accidentally saw Mu Yichen’s subordinates coming in from another entrance, including Yang Qin.

Yang Qin also saw them, but this time Yang Qin pretended not to notice.

Qin Mu didn’t expect Yang Qin to avoid her gaze, but it didn’t matter.

Just that compared to Yang Qin’s avoidance, Qin Mu was direct and every time she felt Yang Qin watching them, she would cast a glance back, although Yang Qin wasn’t looking at her but at the person beside her, Mr. Mu.

”We’re really lucky today! Keep running into the boss and his wife, haha!”

The girl next to Yang Qin said to her, genuinely thrilled, wishing for countless chance encounters at the zoo.

Yang Qin forced a smile: ”Yes!”

It’s lucky, if it were just Mu Yichen without Qin Mu, that would be even luckier.

Yang Qin felt somewhat suffocated, then said to her colleague: ”I’ll go use the restroom over there.”

”Okay! We’ll wait here for you, and maybe snap some candid photos of the boss, haha!”

The girl said as she raised her phone, using the selfie camera to find Mu Yichen’s figure.

”Mom, I want to go to the restroom!”

Huanhuan suddenly turned back to find Qin Mu, holding her hand asking to use the restroom, looking quite upset, her little legs running in place.

Qin Mu looked down at her urgency, then turned to Mu Yichen: ”Take care of Chengcheng, I’ll take her to the restroom.”

”Alright!”

Mu Yichen responded, then scanned for his son and found him already mixed in with a little girl, the two seemingly engaged in animated conversation.

Meanwhile, Qin Mu took Huanhuan’s hand into the restroom, where Huanhuan asked for tissues before slipping inside and closing the door from within.

Qin Mu stood at the door waiting, unexpectedly meeting Yang Qin coming out from inside, facing each other again.

”What a coincidence!”

Qin Mu smiled greeting, the smile not reaching her eyes.

”Yes, really a coincidence!”

Yang Qin nodded, then moved past her to wash her hands.

Qin Mu looked down at her feet, waiting for Huanhuan, meanwhile pondering whether to say something to her, remembering Zhao Huai’s words whenever she saw Yang Qin, yet fearing it might be unnecessary.

Yang Qin couldn’t hold back, turned to her: ”Mrs. Mu.”

Qin Mu curiously looked back.

”I’ll leave after these few months are over, I promise.”

Yang Qin said smiling, trying to appear composed.

Qin Mu instinctively nodded, seeing the grievance and fulfillment in Yang Qin’s eyes.

”I’ll go join my colleagues first, by the way, you don’t need to avoid the office building because of me, I’m an insignificant person.”

Yang Qin felt Qin Mu understood her meaning, then turned to leave, but Qin Mu lingered there motionless.

Why did Yang Qin belittle herself so, what was the point?

”Alright! Mom, let’s go!”

Huanhuan came out from inside, speaking to Qin Mu, running outside.

Qin Mu followed her, when they returned, the girls had already left, Qin Mu joined Mu Yichen, who noticed her looking preoccupied, softly asking: ”What’s wrong?”

”Nothing! Where are we going for lunch?”

”There’s a McDonald’s nearby! They decided!”

Mu Yichen said, pointing at the little ones in front.

Qin Mu smiled: ”Oh! Each one smarter than the other!”

Mu Yichen wrapped an arm around her shoulder: ”It’s the nature of children, I think it’s just right!”
