His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 2077: Chapter 592: Not Many Opportunities for You to Mock Me_4

Qin Mu looked up at Mu Yichen, this wasn’t just right, this was obviously indulgence.

At noon, the family of four went to the nearby McDonald’s. Because there were a few kids they played with at the zoo in the morning, they quickly bonded and ran around together while Qin Mu and Mu Yichen sat on the side watching, helplessly exchanging glances. The other parents were quite easygoing; one mom was even munching on a burger next to them.

”Do you guys want anything else to eat? I’m thinking of ordering a durian pizza. If you guys want some, I’ll order a bigger one.”

One of the moms said.

”Let me treat you! What else do you want to drink? I’ll buy it all together!”

A dad, hearing what the mom said, immediately stood up, pulling out his wallet while asking everyone.

The mothers, rarely encountering such a generous dad, weren’t shy: ”Since someone’s treating, we’ll just order whatever we want then!”

”Order away!”

The dad said with a laugh, looking even more charming and handsome.

Qin Mu instinctively glanced at Mu Yichen. Mu Yichen leaned back in his chair, watching his son as if it’s none of his business.

When it comes to rushing to pay the bill, Mu from their family indeed isn’t the best at it.

But those moms were whispering about Mu, saying that he wasn’t approachable, that he was hard to get along with.

”Mrs. Mu, your husband is always so serious! Is he like this at home too?”

One mom curiously asked Qin Mu, and other parents looked over with curiosity.

Qin Mu smiled: ”He’s indeed like this all the time, just ignore him!”

Mu Yichen’s eyes moved, but he only glanced at his wife once.

”Oh! Is that so! Doesn’t it get boring for you?”

The mom asked again.

”Boring? Not at all!”

Qin Mu was taken aback; she never felt bored! She always found the silent Mu quite interesting.

Especially when she thought about what might be going on in Mu’s mind now, she found it even more amusing.

Mu Yichen wasn’t one to chat with strangers; even if people tried to get close to him and talk to him, he would deliberately keep his distance. But she thought that was just fine — why force yourself to be overly familiar?

”Just look at your two little ones; they don’t look like your husband at all! How fortunate!”

The mom sitting on Qin Mu’s other side raised her hand near Qin Mu’s ear, leaned in, and whispered.

Qin Mu looked at her in surprise, then smiled and nodded: ”Makes sense.”

Mu Yichen, feeling left out, sat there with a frown, thinking their whispering must be badmouthing him.

After lunch, Mu Yichen drove them to another amusement park, and because the kids often came here with their grandparents, they started playing right away. Qin Mu got a drink, and the two sat in the rest area. The afternoon dragged on slowly for them, but the kids had fun, and eventually, time passed.

In the evening, Mu Yichen drove them to AM. The two little ones wanted Western food, so Mu Yichen arranged for them to have the best spot with a view and ordered the kids’ favorite dishes.

Around nine, the family of four went upstairs to the presidential suite. The two little ones took baths, not as settled as they were at home.

Fortunately, they played too hard today. After their baths, they quickly fell asleep in bed.

When the two adults came out of their son and daughter’s rooms separately, they leaned against the wall, looking at each other tiredly, then shared a knowing smile.

In the master bedroom, a phone rang, and Qin Mu instinctively said, ”It must be Mom, you answer it!”

Mu Yichen, without complaint, and not wanting Feng Fanghua to nag Qin Mu, went to answer Qin Mu’s phone.

”Qin Mu is still with Huanhuan, uh huh, Chengcheng is already asleep. Huanhuan will be soon too, so don’t worry!”

”Why wouldn’t I worry? You’re in the city but not coming home. I have no idea what you guys are up to!”

Feng Fanghua couldn’t go a day without the kids. Hearing they were staying at a hotel, she was so agitated she wished she could fly over there.

However, Mu Zihao always comforted her, since after all, Qin Mu had been taking care of the kids herself. But Feng Fanghua retorted, ”Does she call that caregiving? I’ll be grateful if she doesn’t let Huanhuan starve!”

”You better come back early tomorrow morning. You and Qin Mu like your alone time, right? Leave the kids with me; you two can go wherever you want and have your quality time!”

These were Feng Fanghua’s parting words to Mu Yichen before she hung up the phone.

”Alright!”

Mu Yichen agreed, put down the phone, and looked toward the door, where Qin Mu was standing, smiling.

”Come here!”

Mu Yichen said softly, and Qin Mu immediately put down her arms, dragging her tired body toward him.

”Feeling better today?”

Mu Yichen asked, thinking about her suggestion to go out this morning, and since she’d been energetic all day, he thought she must be recovered.

”Nope! Not that fast!”

Qin Mu immediately thought of something and resisted.

”I spent the whole day running around with you guys!”

”Yes!”

——

On Sunday, the two stayed home all day, while Feng Fanghua and Mu Zihao took the kids out for a day of sightseeing, and the old man spent the day playing chess with the old man from the Jing Family.

On Monday, after Qiao Yi went to work, he headed to the top floor. This morning he called Yang Qin’s phone and no one answered, Zhao Huai also said he couldn’t find her, so he came up to see if Yang Qin was deliberately avoiding them. Normally, it’s fine, but now there’s work to do, and he’s not happy.

But...

Qiao Yi went to knock on Mu Yichen’s office door and heard a reply from inside, then pushed the door open: ”What’s going on? Yang Qin didn’t come to work?”

”Not outside?”

Mu Yichen frowned; when he arrived, Yang Qin indeed wasn’t there, but he thought she went to the restroom or somewhere.

”No, and her phone isn’t reachable. What’s going on?”

Qiao Yi suddenly sensed something was wrong and took out his phone to call Yang Qin again.
