Gene Unlocking: I Evolve Every Day

Chapter 339: Chapter 300: Mom, I Saw Ultraman Tiga

”The New York Times” is a daily newspaper published in New York, Ugly Country, circulated worldwide, with considerable influence, a representative of serious publications. Due to its classical and serious style, it is sometimes jokingly referred to as the ”Gray Lady.”

Sensibly, this is a media company that reports news ”fairly.”

However, at this moment, its news website published a piece of news that was unfair, obviously biased.

Or perhaps, with ulterior motives.

The first half of the news analyzed the combat power of the Huaxia Mecha Combat Group.

And what responses military forces worldwide can make to such a mecha combat group.

The answer is they simply cannot resist.

Up to this point, the news did not contain any insinuations.

The content of the second half is different.

It is full of claims that Huaxia uses the mecha combat group to intimidate other countries, creating unnecessary chaos.

It even accuses Huaxia of being a ”terrorist.”

Moreover, ”The New York Times” also calls for countries worldwide to unite and jointly protest Huaxia’s ”threatening” behavior.

In reality, is this really the case?

The answer is definitely no.

Huaxia’s mecha combat group has absolutely not created the slightest chaos in any country’s domain.

The group is merely conducting exercises on the high seas and hasn’t even invited any journalists to film the exercise.

All the journalists present rushed there upon hearing the news ”spontaneously.”

Moreover, when ”pirates” on the high seas threatened the journalists’ safety, Huaxia did not hesitate to sacrifice a mecha to protect those journalists.

How could they possibly be terrorists?

As the saying goes, ”If you want to condemn someone, you can always trump up a charge.”

The accusations by ”The New York Times” are, clearly, trumped-up charges.

The reason why the group is doing this is because they have received enough benefits.

These benefits are not only economic but also encompass other aspects.

...

Online.

Countless eyes are watching the report from ”The New York Times.”

As outsiders, viewers have sharp eyes and are not bewildered by this report.

”Hey, ’The New York Times’ is something.”

”Yeah, spouting nonsense without shame.”

”Whom exactly did Huaxia’s mecha combat group invade? Is the high seas your ’New York Times’ domain? I have no idea what the report aims to achieve by spreading such defamatory news.”

”I used to work at a newspaper, and when such reports appear, there are generally two situations. First, it is indeed the truth; second, they have been bribed. Huaxia has a saying that’s quite fitting, money can make the devil push the millstone, which describes this situation perfectly!”

”Ha, ’The New York Times’ is really bold!”

”Defaming Huaxia? They must not know Huaxia’s notorious reputation, huh?”

”Previously, when the Jalisco Group provoked Huaxia, what was the outcome? They were wiped out completely. Huaxia has no grievances or enmity with ’The New York Times,’ yet now you’re slandering and defaming them, aren’t you really afraid they’ll come after you? If something similar to the Jalisco Group tragedy happens again, I wonder how ’The New York Times’ will handle it. Huaxia has not provoked you, yet you leverage your wide audience to provoke them? Honestly, I’ve seen people who are suicidal, but not like this!”

”What do you know, ’The New York Times’ dares to report like this, surely there’s some force pushing this from behind. Otherwise, how would just one news media dare to report like this about Huaxia? As for who made ’The New York Times’ do this, I don’t know, but the one thing I can be sure of is that this report is definitely incorrect, and I also feel that it is tarnishing our reputation. Reporting news should be objective and fair. The analysis of Huaxia’s mecha combat group and the potential threat it poses to countries worldwide, those parts of the report I agree with. But when you claim Huaxia is causing panic worldwide, I certainly do not accept it, they have not done so at all!”

”Well said, news should be reported impartially, not mixed with any outside factors. Otherwise, if you can slander Huaxia today, can you slander others tomorrow? Huaxia can rely on their mecha combat group to not care, but what about us ordinary people if we are defamed and slandered by the media? I don’t know if Huaxia will find trouble with ’The New York Times,’ but since your report is unfair and has made us feel the terror of media influence, from now on, I declare that I will no longer subscribe to ’The New York Times,’ nor any of its subsidiary newspapers and TV programs, unless you can prove the points in your report, that Huaxia is indeed as terrible as you say; otherwise, you have definitely lost this reader with no chance of changing my mind, reporting should not be done this way, we want fairness and justice!”

”Exactly!”

”The New York Times has gone mad!”

”It’s truly deranged, as if deliberately attracting trouble for us; who doesn’t know how terrifying Huaxia can be, yet you dare to defame and slander them, do you want everyone to go down with you?”

”Unconditionally cancel all subscriptions to ’The New York Times’ newspapers and TV programs!”

”Unless you can prove Huaxia is indeed so evil!”

”Yes, if you can prove it, I personally will subscribe to ten copies of your newspaper!”

”Ha ha, how can ’The New York Times’ prove it? Unless they let Huaxia knock down the ’New York Times’ headquarters building!”

”If Huaxia were to knock down the ’New York Times’ headquarters building, I think it would be a reasonable consequence. Who made them maliciously slander and defame Huaxia first? If it were me as Huaxia, my temper would have erupted long ago, surely letting ’The New York Times’ taste its own medicine!”

Although everyone is quite fearful of the power of Huaxia’s mecha combat group, up until now, Huaxia has not shown any behavior of infringing on ordinary citizens.

For example, the elimination of the Jalisco Group.

That was also because the Jalisco Group first provoked Huaxia and even threatened the lives of some ordinary civilians.

Honestly speaking, if Huaxia had not eradicated this criminal group, who knows how many civilians would have suffered as a result.

It could be said that Huaxia’s action was equivalent to eradicating harm for the populace.

Everyone cheered yet hardly felt threatened?

As for the mecha battle group exercise incident that happened just yesterday, although the citizens of all countries around the globe don’t know why it suddenly happened, from the content of the exercise and a series of events that occurred midway, it seems the Ancestor still didn’t take any actions to invade anyone.

Everyone isn’t a fool; it’s obvious that the Ancestor staged the exercise in international waters to avoid conflicts with other countries.

They’ve been so cautious to prevent conflicts.

Yet, the New York Times is baselessly accusing and slandering them, isn’t that a bit unreasonable?

Do they really think everyone who reads the news lacks brains, and whatever they say will automatically be believed?

After blasting the New York Times for a while, the netizens’ discussion gradually shifted topics.

”Hey, what do you think the Ancestor is up to now?”

”Who knows, anyway, he’s not going to harm us ordinary civilians. Honestly, I’m quite interested in knowing more about him.”

”It’s just a pity the Ancestor has never really shown his face in public, we don’t know anything about him.”

”Would he come over after hearing the New York Times slander him?”

”You’re overthinking it. The Ancestor has such a powerful mecha battle group, if he really wanted to do something, he wouldn’t need to come himself, just send a mecha.”

”Holy crap! Something big has happened!”

”What big thing happened?”

”Is anyone near Flushing?”

”What’s up with Flushing? I’m just in the nearby library, nothing seems to have happened, hey, wait, there’s some noise outside, something might be happening.”

”Dude, go check what’s happening and report back to us right away.”

”Whatever’s happening, it surely can’t be related to the Ancestor; I just want to know the Ancestor’s whereabouts now.”

Even though a netizen exposed that something major happened in Flushing, the majority of netizens were too far from Flushing, so even if they were curious, they couldn’t rush over.

So instead of focusing on what’s happening in Flushing, they might as well keep being curious about what the Ancestor is up to now.

Like whether he’ll cause another stir, giving the global netizens a laugh.

”Sigh.”

”Who knows what the Ancestor is up to.”

”Yeah, we definitely won’t be able to find out.”

In the midst of many netizens feeling a bit sorry.

The netizen who earlier exposed the major event in Flushing posted again in a surprised manner, ”Oh my God! You really need to pay attention to Flushing! It seems the Ancestor has appeared over there!”

”Huh?”

”What?”

”The Ancestor appeared in Flushing?”

”No way, if he appeared, how could you even spot him?”

The group looked at the surprised netizen, feeling dubious, and started inquiring about what’s really happening in Flushing.

In a little while, news actually came back from netizens near Flushing.

A bunch of netizens heard the reports.

In an instant, everyone widened their eyes!

The Ancestor actually appeared in Flushing!

And this time, the appearance is unlike anything before!

Many people could hardly believe it, staring at photos and videos sent by netizens and constantly gasping.

Because in these photos and videos, the ”Ancestor,” whose face still couldn’t be seen clearly, had a body that transformed into a height of twenty or so meters, almost as tall as some slightly lower buildings!

”Heavens!”

”Did I see this wrong?”

”Mom, I see Ultraman Tiga!”

”Jesus, the Ancestor has transformed into Ultraman Tiga!”

”My Fack? Are you sure this is the Ancestor and not the ’ULtraman Tiga’ from the Light Giant?”

”Wow, I can hardly believe my own eyes, a twenty-meter-tall giant, is it really the Ancestor?”

The netizens were all stunned.

They thought the Ancestor’s appearance would be a delightful event.

Nobody expected that while it was delightful, it was also astonishing!

At that moment, a thought emerged in the minds of all netizens who saw the photos and videos shared by those near Flushing:

Could it be that the Ancestor is really not from Earth?

But a human representation from the Light Empire of the M78 Nebula, Ultraman?
