Gene Unlocking: I Evolve Every Day

Chapter 334: Chapter 297: Flight Speed Exceeding Mach 6 (Part 2)

The ability of this biological force field, although not much different from before, has slightly more ”rudimentary version” functionalities in some domains, but how much enhancement is still unknown.

To be honest, even Lu Li himself is a bit curious, has the biological force field improved significantly?

He decided to determine the upgrade of the biological force field from the flight speed.

...

With curiosity about the enhancement of the biological force field, as soon as Lu Li left Shanglin Garden, he shot straight up to the high-altitude clouds without hesitation.

While flying, he pulled out his phone.

Just like before, he found the built-in map on his phone.

He searched for Los Angeles on it for navigation.

Taking a flight to the Ugly Country was too slow.

Last time, when Lu Li went to Mexico City, relying on the biological force field for flight, under the premise of energy balance, the speed could reach seven hundred and seventy-four kilometers per hour.

If he didn’t worry about consumption and flew with all his might, the speed could reach around one thousand kilometers per hour, almost approaching the speed of sound.

Later, during his third deep evolution, there was quite a significant improvement.

As he approached the fourth deep evolution, the flight speed increased to about one thousand five hundred to one thousand six hundred kilometers per hour.

Finally, when the fourth deep evolution was just completed, the biological force field expanded to about thirty meters in radius.

Now, several days have passed, and he has greatly enhanced himself.

Lu Li believes that even if he can’t reach the speed of a mecha using the biological force field for flight, he shouldn’t be too far off.

Of course, so far it is just speculation, whether it is true or not is unknown.

Lu Li did not immediately test the speed but instead activated the biological force field to the maximum.

The next moment, the range of the biological force field, from a basic radius of six meters, suddenly expanded to approximately a radius of sixty meters!

”Let’s start testing from a speed of about one thousand five hundred kilometers per hour.”

Lu Li increased his speed to about four hundred and seventeen meters per second.

If a normal object flies at such a speed, it would definitely cause a sonic boom.

After all, the speed of sound in the air is three hundred and forty meters per second, and four hundred and seventeen meters far exceeds it.

Lu Li, possessing the biological force field, can avoid the occurrence of a sonic boom.

At this moment, he was like a supersonic unmanned drone, rapidly shuttling between high-altitude clouds.

”Four hundred and seventeen meters per second is really too easy, I can’t feel any significant energy consumption within my body.”

Lu Li decided to increase the speed a bit.

Thinking so, he passed through a cloud layer, gradually increasing his speed.

Six hundred meters per second felt effortless.

Eight hundred meters per second, still no significant feeling.

One thousand five hundred meters per second, energy replenishment could still keep up.

Two thousand meters per second, although the energy absorption speed still kept up with the consumption, it no longer felt as leisurely as before.

At this point, Lu Li started to slow down the speed increase, knowing he was nearing the limit.

Sure enough, when the speed increased to two thousand one hundred and fifty meters per second, the consumption equalled the recovery speed.

”Damn!” Lu Li exclaimed in slight surprise, ”This is the first time after my fourth deep evolution that I’ve used the biological force field to fly at full speed and it actually reached about two thousand one hundred and fifty meters per second?”

What does this mean?

It means using the biological force field, my flight speed has reached a terrifying seven thousand seven hundred and forty kilometers per hour!

That’s a full 6.3 Mach!

This speed is undoubtedly terrifying.

One must know the first cosmic speed is only seven point nine kilometers per second.

I have now reached one-third of the first cosmic speed!

”The first cosmic speed is the minimum launch speed for spacecraft, the maximum operational speed for spacecraft.”

Lu Li thought to himself, ”According to my current biological force field flying speed, I’m still a bit short from truly being able to soar into space, but the gap is not too significant. If I can enhance a bit more, I should be able to reach the first cosmic speed, thereby soaring in space.”

He suddenly recalled the Daoist texts that said those who attain immortality could ”ascend in broad daylight.”

Lu Li pondered, could it be that the Daoist texts describe those immortals reaching the first cosmic speed and leaving the atmosphere for the cosmos?

He thinks it is very possible.

Objects that cannot reach the first cosmic speed cannot leave Earth.

The first cosmic speed, also known as orbital speed, is the minimum speed required for an object to perform circular motion on the Earth’s surface.

Any object that doesn’t reach this speed cannot overcome Earth’s gravity and will eventually be pulled back by Earth’s gravity.

For instance, although airplanes can fly very high, their maximum speed is far lower than the first cosmic speed, so airplanes cannot leave Earth.

Historically, the fastest Concorde supersonic jet had a maximum flight speed of about two thousand kilometers per hour, which is far below the first cosmic speed, so airplanes would be pulled back by Earth’s gravity when in mid-air, making it impossible to leave Earth.

In short, to explore the cosmos, the flight speed must at least reach the first cosmic speed.

Lu Li, possessing ”domains” and ”biological force fields,” to some extent, can head towards space even if he doesn’t reach the first cosmic speed.

However, he believes that since he hasn’t reached the ”strength” to escape Earth’s gravity, if he forcibly flies into space, he may encounter great danger.

So, even after completing the fourth deep evolution and possessing ”domains,” the idea of heading into space has only remained in his mind and hasn’t been put into action.
