Gene Unlocking: I Evolve Every Day

Chapter 301: Chapter 263: Bragging for a Lifetime

Gu Wei stood cautiously beside Lu Li, sneaking a glance with eyes full of awe, then said in a trembling voice, ”Mr. Lu, feel free to say whatever you want to them.”

”Hmm.” Lu Li looked at the neatly standing group of people, and said softly, ”From a technical perspective, the stealth bomber I’ve restructured is more advanced than the Ugly Country’s B-2 stealth bomber. For instance, when the Ugly Country builds their stealth bombers, their stealth coating is relatively outdated. Although it’s still quite difficult for most radars on Earth to detect it, the coating is very fragile and isn’t suitable for long-term attachment to the surface of the aircraft. After each mission is completed and the aircraft returns to base, the ground crew must thoroughly inspect the body and manually spray a new layer of coating. I’ve upgraded this coating so that it can adhere to the surface of the aircraft for a long time, and if there’s any wear and tear, it only needs to be patched up. By doing this, the cost of manufacturing new stealth bombers and subsequent maintenance expenses will be greatly reduced.”

He paused, ”This is just a small improvement in the coating. Additionally, the new coating can completely avoid radar detection, unlike the Ugly Country’s stealth bombers, which can still be detected to a small extent. This is one aspect. There are also comprehensive upgrades in the inertial astronomical dual navigation system, the materials used in the body, aerodynamic design, power design, avionics design, and weapon payload.”

Gu Lin, Zhang Feng, and Cheng Cui, among others, pricked up their ears to listen carefully.

They never expected that Lu Li not only ”copied” a new stealth bomber but also made technical upgrades.

As for other aspects, they didn’t know, but just the coating technology upgrade that Lu Li mentioned was already shocking enough.

Why is that?

Firstly, while the Ugly Country’s stealth bombers can effectively shield radar detection, they can still be detected as something the size of a bird.

Now, Lu Li has upgraded the coating, allowing the stealth bombers to completely disappear under the radar.

This is undoubtedly a huge leap in technology!

Moreover, Lu Li mentioned that this coating doesn’t need to be re-applied after every mission.

How much maintenance funding will this save?

A single B-2 stealth bomber’s coating alone costs 60 million US Dollars.

After each mission, re-coating costs hundreds of thousands of US Dollars.

Simply put, even if a stealth bomber flies a mission and does nothing, it would cost hundreds of thousands of US Dollars.

Now, with Lu Li’s coating upgrade, future maintenance costs can easily save tens of millions of US Dollars!

This is just the maintenance savings for one stealth bomber.

What if there are fifty of them?

Wouldn’t it save billions in maintenance costs?

This time, not only were research personnel like Gu Lin, Zhang Feng, and Cheng Cui moved.

Even leaders like Gu Wei and Old Zhao, who didn’t quite understand stealth bomber technology, could calculate how much a small upgrade could save!

Lu Li continued slowly, ”I will write down these specific upgrades, including the materials and technology, for you to study later. But what I can tell you now is that the upgraded stealth bomber I have developed has at least three times the performance of the B-2 stealth bomber, including in terms of speed. The maximum speed of a B-2 is only 0.95 Mach, but this upgraded stealth bomber can reach just under 3 Mach, approximately 2.8 Mach.”

Whoa!

A flight speed of just under 3 Mach?

It’s known that the fastest bomber in the world is the Ugly Country’s XB-70, with a speed of 3 Mach, even the speed-renowned Goose’s TU-160 bomber is outshone.

Neither Goose’s TU-160 nor the Ugly Country’s XB-70 are true stealth bombers.

Of course, there are planes that surpass this maximum speed, but they are either fighter jets or test aircraft,

So what’s the fastest speed for a stealth bomber in the world currently?

The Ugly Country’s B1B pseudo-stealth bomber has a maximum speed of about 1.25 Mach.

Why is it called a pseudo-stealth bomber?

Because the radar cross-section of the B1B bomber is about one square meter, far less impressive than the B-2 stealth bomber.

How about Lu Li’s improved stealth bomber?

It’s not just undetectable by radar.

Its flight speed has astonishingly reached 2.8 Mach?

This is undoubtedly a top-tier strategic stealth bomber.

It even technologically surpasses the Ugly Country’s most advanced stealth bombers!

Researchers like Gu Lin, Zhang Feng, and Cheng Cui couldn’t imagine how Lu Li developed such advanced technology; normally it might take tens of years of technological advancement to reach the parameters Lu Li announced.

At first, they indeed thought this way.

But on second thought, since Lu Li had often been equated with God, fully upgrading the technology seems only natural.

Well, they surely didn’t know how Lu Li ”upgraded” these technologies.

These issues might indeed be very difficult for ordinary people, requiring a lot of time to research.
