Gene Unlocking: I Evolve Every Day

Chapter 336: Chapter 298: I Just Love That ”You Can’t Stand Me But Can’t Take Me Down” Attitude

That day.

Accompanied by the release of major news reports.

The reputation of the Ancestor Mecha battle group suddenly resounded throughout the world.

One hundred thousand people saw the news...

A million people saw the news...

Tens of millions of people saw the news...

The news about the Ancestor Mecha battle group reached a fever pitch.

It broke all previous records for news engagement.

Every second, records were being broken, history was being made.

If giving a broad statistic of the number of people following the news doesn’t give a clear concept.

Then just opening a well-known news website and looking at the single-day view counts for that news can show how high the attention is.

For example, there is an online streaming music platform in Sweden called ”Spotify”.

The highest single-day ”album play count” on this music platform was previously held by Taylor Swift’s ”Folklore”.

This album broke records upon its release.

It achieved three hundred million plays in a single day on the platform.

And what about the single-day views of the ”Ancestor Mecha battle group drill” video on YouTube?

A whopping 450 million times!

To know that ”Folklore” included sixteen songs.

If its play counts are distributed across each song, it actually averages less than twenty million plays per song.

The ”Ancestor Mecha battle group” was just a single video, creating a record for single-day play counts.

The most terrifying part is, this was just one video on YouTube, not counting views on other news websites.

Moreover, it’s startling that not even twenty-four hours had passed since the Ancestor Mecha drill ended.

A video with a single-day viewing of 450 million times?

This view count is undoubtedly unbelievable to anyone.

It also signifies how many people around the world were keeping an eye on this matter.

Major world leaders remained silent on this issue.

No country stood up to comment on the Ancestor Mecha battle group drill.

Even Mexico, a country once turned upside down by the Ancestor Mecha, made no noise.

It’s as if those leaders and ordinary people live in different dimensions, utterly unaware of the issue.

In fact, seeing such high interest, major news media have long been feverishly competing to ramp up their coverage.

Even some businesses spotted the business opportunity and launched Ancestor Mecha battle group merchandise immediately.

But not all media are ”fair” in their reporting.

Some media mixed in ambiguous meanings.

They launched a smear campaign against the Ancestor Mecha battle group and guided negative public perception.

For instance, claiming that a privately-owned Mecha battle group is too terrifying and poses a massive threat to the citizens of every country.

They also stated that countries should unite and demand the Ancestors hand over the Mecha battle group or put it under global supervision.

Many netizens, upon seeing this, couldn’t help but laugh!

”It’s hilarious!”

”Does our world even have people who think rationally?”

”You don’t even know who the real identity of the Ancestors is, nor where the Mecha battle group is hidden, so on what grounds do you request all countries unite and force the Ancestors to hand over the Mecha battle group?”

”Exactly. If you have the guts, go tell the Ancestors directly!”

”What kind of news site is this that dares to publish such a silly idea?”

”Wow, aren’t you afraid of angering the Ancestors, and that they send a Mecha to wander around your news media headquarters?”

”Shit, if your publishing house wants to die, don’t drag our whole country down with you!”

”If the Ancestors saw this news, wouldn’t he blow your news headquarters to bits? Which brain-dead journalist came up with this kind of outrageous news.”

”If I owned such an awesome Mecha battle group, come and ask me for it and see if I don’t destroy you!”

”I’ve seen media sensationalize for traffic, but this is the first time I’ve seen such self-destructive behavior.”

If people hadn’t witnessed the ferocity of the Ancestor Mecha’s destructive power, they might have found these news analyses reasonable.

But now, the world has personally witnessed the contents of the Ancestor Mecha battle group drill.

Who doesn’t know how terrifying and unchecked this power is?

The Ancestors are innately ruthless.

Do you still dare to risk your life for sensationalism?

No wonder netizens lash out at those media hungry for traffic at all costs.

However, are these media really so overconfident to smear the Ancestors?

Actually, that’s not the case at all.

...

In a high-end apartment in New York.

Matthew Simon looked desperately at the few big black guys in front of him.

One of them, sitting on the sofa with his legs crossed, was a built black man leisurely stroking the big gold ring on his left middle finger, and he spoke slowly, ”Matthew, you should know what I’m here for, right?”

Matthew Simon gave a wry smile, ”I know, to kill me.”

He wasn’t an idiot, he was well aware that these people were sent by his boss to take his life.

The reason for his execution was straightforward.

When he was in contact with Lu Li before,

The call was always under surveillance.

His boss had long known Lu Li was coming to find him.

While Matthew Simon didn’t know his boss’s whereabouts, he did have his boss’s contact number.

And Matthew Simon could deduce from Lu Li’s call saying he was coming over that Lu Li, like Superman, had the ability to trace phone signals.
