Gene Unlocking: I Evolve Every Day

Chapter 328: Chapter 292: World-Shattering Explosion

The reporters immediately turned their cameras towards the two mechas, whose right shoulders were rising with missile launch bays.

Even though the special coating on the mechas refracted light, making it impossible for the cameras to capture their appearance correctly, the missiles without special coatings were still able to be successfully captured.

A reporter, excitedly explaining in front of the live broadcast unit, said, ”At this moment, we see the Ancestor People’s mecha displaying a new weapon once again. Although this missile looks about the same size as the previous ones, its color seems slightly different. Therefore, I personally think that this newly appeared missile is likely to have even more astonishing power. Viewers, stay tuned!”

This is just a snapshot of the many live broadcasts on the uninhabited island.

In fact, there are certainly not just one reporter on the live broadcast but dozens.

”Ladies and gentlemen, we might be at the moment to witness a miracle!”

”Although it’s only the size of a vase, I think the explosion that follows will be incredibly immense.”

”Everyone, watch carefully, don’t miss it.”

A group of live-broadcasting reporters explained excitedly, urging the viewers in front of the screen not to blink and miss the upcoming spectacle.

Just as the reporters were extremely excited.

Suddenly, one of the mechas close to the reporters emitted a sound similar to electronic synthesis, reminding, ”Please immediately turn your back or close your eyes tightly and cover them with both hands. Do not watch the upcoming scene, or the consequences of your eyes being blinded by strong light are at your own risk. I am giving you only thirty seconds!”

What?

Close your eyes immediately?

Do not watch the upcoming scene?

If you don’t obey, your eyes might get blinded by the strong light?

Upon hearing this, Lu Guang’s heart pounded.

Douglas also took a deep breath.

The remaining two to three thousand reporters and crew members all trembled in their hearts.

They are already vaguely aware of how terrifying the upcoming event might be!

Only a nuclear weapon seems capable of emitting a strong light that can blind people’s eyes from a distance!

As everyone knows, a nuclear explosion immediately forms a huge fireball and emits a very bright light.

Because the damage of such strong light to the eyes is extremely great, even several kilometers away from the center of a nuclear explosion, directly looking at the super strong light of a nuclear explosion can still cause blindness.

There are many war reporters on site. How could they not know how intense the strong light from a nuclear explosion is?

Or rather, anyone with a little understanding of nuclear explosions knows that the strong light produced by a nuclear explosion can lead to blindness if directly viewed!

Everyone understands the reason.

It’s just that no one really expected the Ancestor People’s mecha combat group to carry such a powerful ”super weapon”!

For a moment, the scene was sensational.

”Damn!”

”Are they really going to create a nuclear explosion?”

”Terrifying! Truly terrifying!”

”Quickly, listen to what the Ancestor People say, just leave the camera recording, turn your back, and it’s best to cover your ears too!”

”A nuclear explosion is very frightening. Everyone must obey!”

Among the crowd, some experienced reporters spoke out, reminding everyone.

No one dared to take the Ancestor People’s warning as a joke. They all turned around, closed their eyes, and then covered their ears one by one.

At this moment, the reporters felt extremely regretful while also very excited inside.

The excitement needs no further words. Even though it’s uncertain whether the mecha can eventually unleash power comparable to a nuclear bomb, since the Ancestor People remotely controlled the mecha to transmit a warning, it’s unlikely to be unfounded.

Now, being able to witness a small mecha possibly unleashing power comparable to nuclear weapons, how could they not be excited?

Because if it really is the case, it represents that human technology has reached a new level!

As for the regret, it’s because everyone feels a bit sorry that they can’t personally witness this historic moment.

Of course, the reporters and crew members dispatched onsite to capture first-hand data aren’t fools. They certainly wouldn’t gamble their sight on whether they’d go blind.

...

In major livestream rooms around the world.

The netizens had already heard the reporters’ explanations.

Moreover, the live footage also captured two missiles, the size of vases, refracted by light.

Suddenly, netizens all over the world were in an uproar.

Ugly Country.

”What?”

”A small mecha can actually carry nuclear weapons?”

”Not very likely, right? This missile looks to be only vase-sized. How much nuclear material could it hold inside?”

”Exactly. Normally, a nuclear warhead consists of four to five parts, for example, nuclear material, ignition control system, carrying shell, and other functional components. Even the world’s smallest nuclear bomb, the W54, has a diameter of about twenty-seven centimeters and a length of around forty centimeters. Yet even so, it still weighs twenty-three kilograms, and its explosion yields the equivalent of ten tons of TNT. Now, what’s the size of this missile in the image? The diameter is barely ten centimeters, and the length is around thirty centimeters, with a weight of at most four to five kilograms. Even if it was completely filled with nuclear material, how much power could it unleash? Could it produce a strong light blinding the reporters on site?”

”To cause blindness at a distance, a nuclear weapon with a yield of ten tons is not enough.”

”I also don’t quite believe that such a small missile can unleash such enormous power.”

Earlier, a group of Ugly Country netizens was clamoring to ”capture the Ancestor People alive.” Now, how could they believe that such a small vase missile could unleash such immense power?

In short, these Ugly Country netizens don’t believe anyone in the world is stronger than their country, so they are all in denial and express skepticism.

Unlike Ugly Country netizens, those from other countries are different.

These netizens don’t have much concern about the Ancestors, so they are relatively more ”impartial.”

For example, in Huaxia’s livestream room, a group of netizens was discussing.

”Holy crap!”

”Nuclear-like power? Guys, do you think it’s true?”

”I think it’s very likely true. Here’s the evidence: the Ancestors’ mecha previously launched three vase missiles of different colors, and each of those vase missiles exploded with power comparable to a small nuclear bomb. From the footage of the explosions on-site, it seems those vase missiles each had a blast equivalent to more than a thousand tons of TNT. Therefore, now that the Ancestors’ mecha has again ascended with two similarly-shaped vase missiles and warned those reporters, I believe the power they will unleash will definitely be much greater than the previous three.”

”Wow, you’re knowledgeable. Can you speculate about the yield these two vase missiles might produce when they explode?”

”Yes, same question.”

”Request for analysis from the expert!”

A group of people eagerly inquiring for knowledge there.

The netizen who spoke earlier quickly replied, ”Because the new vase missiles resemble the previous ones in size, using my professional knowledge to analyze, I think they might contain more explosive material, but with a limited volume, so I guess they could contain four to five times more explosive material at most, meaning if these two vase missiles explode, each could have a yield of about four to five thousand tons of TNT.”

”Four to five thousand tons is terrifying!”

”Yeah, Little Boy was only about fifteen thousand tons.”

”Gasp, the fact that the Ancestors’ mecha can carry vase missiles with such tremendous power is absolutely mind-blowing.”

A group of netizens marveled.

Apart from Ugly Country and Huaxia, at the same time, netizens from other countries were also engaging in similar discussions, like speculating how powerful the new vase missiles might be and the extent of the destruction they could cause.

Eventually, everyone unanimously came to a bold conclusion: the new vase missile’s single explosion should have a yield of four to six thousand tons of TNT.

When this conclusion was reached, netizens worldwide were astounded.

Because everyone knew that if such a small missile could unleash such power, it certainly doesn’t contain nuclear fission material, and it’s unlikely to be nuclear fusion material either, but rather a new ultra-powerful energy material.

An ultra-powerful energy source that could potentially change the course of human technological civilization!

Therefore, people across the globe are now watching the livestream intently.

Everyone wants to see if the vase missile power speculated by those online experts really ranges between four to six thousand tons of TNT.

If it is, it would mean the Ancestors are the ”hope” for the future of human technological energy development.

But even if not, as long as the power isn’t less than the previous three vase missiles, it would still be enough to deter countries worldwide!

Yes, they are watching the power of the explosion in the livestream room.

No need to worry about being blinded by the intense light from the explosion.

...

Netizens worldwide are anticipating!

Reporters on site, turning their backs, eyes closed and ears covered, are also anticipating!

At this moment, it’s safe to say people’s hearts around the world are connected to those newly emerged vase missiles!

While everyone is waiting and discussing, thirty seconds quickly pass by.

The reporters turned away from the scene.

The netizens watched clearly through camera footage!

The two mechas, one in the front and one at the back, each fired a vase missile toward uninhabited islands over ten kilometers away.

Reporters had previously introduced that island, which is about four to five square kilometers in size, considered a relatively large uninhabited island.

Netizens wanted to witness firsthand the extent of the power these two vase missiles would unleash on that four to five square kilometer island.

The next moment, they witnessed it!

The two missiles rushed out at several times the speed of sound, striking the island’s left and right ends!

Suddenly!

Two intense blue flashes shone in front.

These two blue flashes covered the entire island and surrounding sea areas like a massive upside-down iron pot.

Immediately after, the two intense lights flashed fiercely.

The island and the nearby sea instantly soared up a massive mushroom cloud soaring into the sky!

In an instant, the whole world seemed to darken with the ascent of the mushroom cloud.

The sky seemed to suddenly darken; upper-altitude clouds began to thunder and lightning.

The most terrifying thing wasn’t even that.

The most terrifying thing was a huge, almost visible ring-shaped shockwave sweeping out in all directions.

Where the ring-shaped shockwave passed, gale winds whooshed, raising monstrous waves and obliterating everything!

In just a blink of an eye.

The island, over ten kilometers away from the camera, turned into a massive fireball!

At this point, a thunderous, earth-shattering explosion sound arrived slowly, echoing crazily in the world, an unbridled explosion devouring everything!
