Eternal Thief

After acquiring ownership of the World Space Ring and inheriting its memories, Ace connected with the World Space Ring.

The next moment, Ace vanished from his spot, and in his empty place, a small golden glyph surfaced in the air and pulsed with mystical light.

Ace felt his vision shift as a sense of space law washed over him; he was very familiar with the sensation of teleportation. He had entered the World Space of the World Space Ring.

The first thing Ace saw was an eight-story exquisite tower made with shimmering silver stone and golden obsidian.

’It must have been created by the Grand Wealth Lord…’ Ace guessed since the previous owner of this ring was the Grand Wealth Lord.

Averting his eyes from the tower, he was surprised to see a clear sky above his head, yet there were no clouds or sun; it was still as bright as day.

Furthermore, as the master of the World Space Ring, Ace can vaguely sense an extremely powerful and mysterious formation hidden behind that sky. Moreover, that formation was the true core of this world because it keeps the world space stable and can increase the spirit Qi density of the entire world space.

The surrounding area of the tower was filled with various plantations, carefully partitioned with spirit arrays. With his powerful perception, Ace instantly discovered the extraordinariness of those different plants.

’They are all spirit herbs! And some of them have extremely dense spiritual Qi fluctuations. They ought to be Upper Ascension Grade-7 at least, and even Grade-8…’

Ace was thrilled as he couldn’t even see the ends of those meticulously cultivated herbs covered in layers of spirit arrays. This was clearly the wealth of an Ascension Grand Lord and the Sect Master of the wealthiest King Sect of the Mortal Ascension Heaven.

At this moment, Ace sensed something, and as the ruler of this place, nothing can be hidden from him as long as he wills it. Instantly, Ace vanished and reappeared miles away from the spirit herb fields in front of a large emerald pool.

“Spirit Nectar! This is all spirit nectar!” Ace was ecstatic when he identified the origin of the pool.

Ace had already encountered spirit nectar just when he had ascended into the Mortal Ascension Heaven. But the pool in front of him was hundreds of times larger than the previous one.

“System, what is the grade of this spirit nectar?” Ace quickly asked the system because he couldn’t make an accurate judgment simply because the density of this spirit nectar was too high even for him, and to make sure its essence wouldn’t scatter, a powerful formation was hidden at the bottom of the pool.

“[Ascension Grade-8]” The system curtly replied in an emotionless tone.

However, Ace didn’t even notice as his heart was filled with joy. Just this pool of the spirit nectar was enough to cause wars among ordinary king sects, yet it was all controlled by a single Ascension Grand Lord.

’No wonder that guy can cultivate so many high-grade spirit herbs. It must be because of this pool. But considering the assets of the PHW King Sect, they must have a large supply of spirit nectar.’

Ace mused. After giving the spirit nectar pool one last glance, Ace moved to another location and, this time appeared in front of a mountain range.

Ace’s eyes widened as he looked at those colorful mountains because they were stone mountains.

“Spirit Stones, Spirit Crystals, and spirit metals, ores…” The more Ace looked around those mountains, the more shocked he became because there were too many things among them to count.

Especially the mountains of spirit stones and spirit crystals. They were arranged according to their different grades, and the lowest grade among them was the Ascension Grade-6!

Then, suddenly, Ace’s heart raced as his figure vanished again, and he appeared in the center of the treasure mountain range. There were two small hills around ten meters in size. They were minuscule compared to the surrounding mountains.

However, two formations were carved beneath them, and a translucent barrier covered them.

One hill was formed by round marbles of translucent emerald color with a dark green light pulsing within them.

The second hill was composed of pristine octahedrons of translucent blue with pulsing purple within them.

Ace had never seen any of those marbles or octahedrons before, but among all the mountains, they were the most precious. Ace’s thievish sense had never been wrong. Moreover, he had a vague guess about their origin.

Suppressing his excitement, he quickly seeks the system’s confirmation, “System, those are…?”

“[Upper Ascension Grade-9 Spirit Stones: 184,843]

“[Upper Ascension Grade-9 Spirit Crystals: 145,991]”

“I was right!” Ace was excited as he looked at the spirit crystals and spirit stones with a burning gaze.

They were the highest grade of spirit stones and spirit crystals under the Mortal Ascension Heaven, just below the Forbidden Ascension Grade-10. Ace felt that his decision to rob the Grand Wealth World was worth it, despite the risks involved.

Ace knew with the resources gathered in this World Space Ring, he could easily cultivate his Universal Black Physique up to Grade-7 or even Grade-8. After all, the martial path requires a massive amount of resources, and only by means like thievery does Ace have a chance to reach completion.

After admiring the ’mountain range,’ which covered 40% of the World Space Ring, Ace reappeared in front of the tower in the center of the World Space again.

Now that Ace had seen the ’outside’, he was very curious about what the Grand Wealth Lord kept in this tower.

Ace reached towards the large door of the tower and wanted to open it when he suddenly frowned before using more force. His eyes narrowed as spirit Qi appeared on his palm, and he pushed forward with great force. However, the door didn’t budge at all, making Ace’s lips twitch.

Moreover, Ace only now noticed that he couldn’t see inside this tower despite claiming ownership of the ring.

Just as he was about to use more force, the system’s interface appeared and flashed in front of his eyes.

A hint of astonishment flashed past Ace’s eyes as he looked at the interface, ’Why would someone put another Master Lock above a higher-grade Master Lock? Furthermore, this master lock isn’t the same as the Bloodline Master Lock, which means it was placed afterward with this tower…’

Ace’s curiosity was piqued about this locked tower, and without hesitation, he paid the TP to reset the master lock on the door.

Ace pursed his lips when he saw the second NOTE. Although this was the first time the system had made a proper ’Master Key’ for a Master Lock, he wasn’t expecting the system would still charge him for creating alternative keys.

Nonetheless, the price was neglectable for Ace, so he closed the system interface and touched the door with his Primordial Spirit Qi. However, this time, he didn’t use force, and the moment his Primordial Spirit Qi came in contact with the door, it instantly reacted.

Ace felt a strong vibration from the door before different runic patterns appeared on the smooth surface of the door, and the sounds of a cogwheel moving rang in Ace’s ears.

“Click…click…click…”

The sounds suddenly stopped after a few seconds, and the door started to open inward. However, Ace’s expectant expression suddenly warped when a gust of nauseous air leaked from the inside, catching Ace by surprise.

Ace had never smelled something so disgusting and rotten before. His expression took a drastic turn because he was expecting anything but such a foul stench from such an imposing place.

’What kind of abominable things that guy was hiding here?!’ Ace’s expression was grim as he looked at the dark passage behind the door. The stench was so sickening that he didn’t even want to stay there anymore.

Nonetheless, now that this World Space Ring belonged to Ace, he had to clean it up for anything disgusting that the Grand Wealth Lord was hiding here.

Sealing his sense of smell, Ace stepped inside the first floor of the tower. But his gloomy expression turned gloomier when he saw the scene inside.

The floor was dimly lit in a faint crimson glow, and it actually divided into rows of cages with glowing runic locks on each cage. What made Ace’s expression sink was that each cage had a prisoner encased in thick chains.

A gloomy realization strikes Ace at this moment. This tower was most likely a prison tower!
