Eternal Thief

Eva’s words were like shockwaves in everyone’s hearts, and she couldn’t help but further contemplate what Eva had revealed. They all reached the same conclusion as Eva: it must be the Thief House, and they looked at Ace with scrutiny at the same time.

Ace could only smile bitterly since he was as astounded as the rest of them, but he must admit this kind of anomaly can only be related to the system.

Ace arranged his thoughts before he solemnly questioned the system, “System, what is going on? Did the Heaven Stealer have some special status in the Abysses?”

However, to Ace’s dismay and under his expectations, the system didn’t reply, which made him frustrated.

He could only mollify the House Members’ confusion with this, “Truthfully, it’s also my first time heard about this matter, and I have no idea how it is related to the Thief House.

“However, we’ll know soon enough once the other House Members or Thief Acolytes make a breakthrough. More importantly, we’ll get substantial clues when I make a breakthrough. After all, Heaven won’t let me become powerful in peace, and if the Abyss can block Heaven’s interference…” At this moment, Ace’s eyes turn sharp, “It’ll be fascinating to witness.”

The House Members looked at Ace with complicated expressions, except for Zaria, who had yet to witness Ace’s breakthrough. Nonetheless, they were convinced by Ace’s thought process and opinion.

Furthermore, no matter how suspicious or bizarre this phenomenon is, it still only benefits them, and if they take advantage of it, they can increase their powers without any worry. Not only that, but they can also take shelter in the Thief’s House and pass the bottleneck without any concern.

Since this matter was settled in an unusual manner, Ace didn’t want to dwell on it and changed the topic.

He gravely commanded, “Now that I’ve told you guys about Heaven’s Advocate, you all need to be careful in the future, and I strongly advise you all not to engage with Heaven’s Advocate in any way. If you encounter him, leave at the first chance you get and then report it to me.”

The house members, despite having their own hidden thoughts on this matter, nodded their heads in agreement, as they also didn’t want to face someone who could counter Ace’s abilities.

“Now that this is out of the way. Mind telling us, what are you going to do in this Abyss Mission?” Alina questioned with narrowed eyes.

Ace smiled slightly before he replied, “Of course, I’m going to spread my fame while searching for this Blood Moon in the headquarters of the Evernight Council. Eva can give me information about this place.”

Eva was startled when she heard Ace’s plan and rejected his proposal outright, “It’s too dangerous, not to mention impossible! The headquarters of the Evernight Council is in the center of the Abyssal Plains and is called the Evernight Sanctuary.

“As the headquarters of the Evernight Council, that place is the most secure location, not just in the Evernight Council, but in the entire Abyssal Plains. Not even an Abyssal King dare to infiltrate that place because the Abyssal Kings of the Evernight Council are most likely secluded there.

“Who entered the Evernight Sanctuary is always decided by the people within the Evernight Sanctuary, and I’ve heard from my master that only the most talented members of the Evernight Council or those who have performed some miraculous deeds for the Council were selected.

“If you were selected, you’d receive an ’Evernight Sanctuary Invitation,’ and then an Evernight Envoy will personally lead you to the Evernight Sanctuary. Even then, the time one can stay in the Evernight Sanctuary is always limited because that place is a cultivation paradise for Abyssal Beings.

“I’ve even heard there is a facility that can increase the flow of time, just like our Thief’s House! That’s why everyone wants to go there, but the quota is limited, not to mention the competition for those spots.”

Eva’s words shocked everyone, especially Ace, as it was the first time he had heard about a place that could manipulate the flow of time, like the Thief’s Space.

’The Evernight Council is even far stronger than the six sects of the Mortal Ascension Heaven…’ Ace thought as his expression turned grim, but then a strange glimmer surfaced in his eyes, ’Wait a moment, didn’t I also need a time-related treasure to upgrade my Thief’s Space to the higher upgrade scheme levels?’

But the moment this thought came to mind, Ace instantly suppressed it because it was simply too unrealistic. Stealing their time acceleration cultivation chamber right under the noses of Abyssal Kings? Ace was that suicidal, maybe when he was in the same realm, but now, he can’t even think about it.

“Even Half-Abyssal Kings can’t gain access to the Evernight Sanctuary?” Freya’s interest was piqued, as she also thought the Evernight Sanctuary was an extraordinary place, and if they could infiltrate it, their missions would go smoothly.

Eva replied, “No, only the Half-Abyssal King has permanent residency in the Evernight Sanctuary. They can come and go as they please because of their status as King Circle members.

“Other than the Half-Abyssal Kings, an Abyssal Grand Lord has to apply to enter the Evernight Sanctuary, and they only get 30 to 60 days annually because of their cultivation realm.

“As for the Abyssal Lords, they also have to compete for those spots just like others. Since I’m a disciple of a Half-Abyssal King, I can get an Evernight Sanctuary Invitation, but according to my master, I need to be an Abyssal Guardian, or it’ll be a waste.” Eva smiled wryly at this moment since she was also very helpless in this matter.

“I have a feeling that if we want to complete this Abyss Mission Series, we have to go to the Evernight Sanctuary eventually.” Winter stated in a grave tone, “But the sooner we can establish some connection in the Evernight Sanctuary, the better for us.”

Everyone agreed with Winter’s suggestion, but they also considered the level of danger associated with this task. After all, infiltrating the headquarters of the Evernight Council probably means passing through Abyssal Kings’ scrutiny.

At this moment, Ace spoke, “Since we need an Evernight Sanctuary Invitation to go to the Evernight Sanctuary, we can search for the person who has the most chance of getting one. Once we narrow down the targets…” A thievish glint flashed past Ace’s eyes as he confidently declared, “I can intervene and take his place!”

This time, Eva didn’t outright refuse and fell into deep thought because Ace’s plan was doable. The house members also have absolute confidence in Ace, and this task is right up his alley.

“Although this plan sounds easy, and even if we found someone who received the invitation from the Evernight Sanctuary, you need to deal with an Abyssal Guardian and take his place.

“Not only that, this Abyssal Guardian will be one of the top geniuses of the Evernight Council and most likely belongs to a powerful clan or organization; switching places won’t be easy.

“Lastly, you need to fool the detection formations of the Evernight Sanctuary and scrutiny of the Evernight Envoy, and possibly an Abyssal King’s probing. How are you planning to do all of this?”

Eva’s eyes narrowed as she looked at Ace with worry, “I’m not belittling you, but it’s simply too dangerous to take such a risk. You are being reckless.”

“I hate to admit it, but she’s right. You should wait a bit. Once we complete this first mission, we can take another shot at the Evernight Sanctuary. At that time, we’ll be familiar with the politics of the Evernight Council and might find other ways to achieve our goals.” Alina added with a grave tone.

The other House Members also didn’t speak, and they also seemed to have the same thoughts as Alina and Eva. No matter what, Ace was the true pillar of Thief House, and if something happened to him, no one had the capability of filling his shoes.

Ace was moved by their care and concern for him, but he had his plans.

He said in a reassuring tone, “Look, everyone, I’ve already infiltrated the PHW King Sect and even witnessed an Ascension King’s power personally. Although I admit the Wealth King wasn’t serious until it was too late, and that wasn’t the limit of her powers, I’m confident in finding a way in, just like I always have!

“Oh, and don’t forget I have my Avatar of Holy Twilight; I can always retreat no matter what kind of danger I face. I’m planning to keep the Thief’s House open in this place and then leave my Avatar of Holy Twilight here; this way, I can always come back.”

Eva and Alina narrowed their eyes at Ace but didn’t refute him because they couldn’t know that the Avatar of Holy Twilight was involved. Furthermore, just as Ace said, he had already tricked an Ascension King, so he might be able to pull another one.

Seeing that no one said anything, Ace quickly closed the topic by declaring, “Alright, it’s decided! Let’s start the mission and bring it home!”
