Eternal Thief

Within the inner world of the Avatar of Holy Twilight, Ace was sitting under the white treelet with nine branches and ethereal mist revolving around them.

A hint of a cold smile played on his lips as he witnessed everything happening outside, since he and his avatar were the same.

’I knew she wouldn’t be able to hold back at this moment and use that ’Law Contract’. But what she hadn’t expected was that I could easily see through that language, and from the start, I knew that the contract was called ’Blood Bondage Contract’.

’In simplest terms, a slave contract, probably unearthed from some Ancient Remnant or Secret Realm, since this kind of contract and language didn’t exist in the Mortal Ascension Heaven.

’And what a terrifying contract it was, even after the contract is signed, the Contractee won’t even know they had become a Blood Bondage Slave of their Contractor, who held the ’Blood Seal’ of the Blood Bondage Contract.

’Furthermore, with the Blood Seal, the contractor can directly take control of their slave with just a thought, and the slave won’t even have any ability to resist or discover what happened…’

A hint of callousness surfaced in his eyes as he looked at the Prosperity Matriarch, and then he felt the crimson ruin encased within his inner world flicker violently.

Although he had a feeling from day one that the PHW King Sect’s higher-ups were up to no good, he wasn’t expecting the Wealth King herself to be after him. She was ruthless and decisive.

Furthermore, Damien clearly wasn’t affected by the Blood Bondage Contract, which means she might’ve only had one of it, and between him and Damien, she chose him. Or there might be another reason, or she had already placed another method on Damien.

Whichever the case was, Ace was sure that the Prosperity Matriarch was scheming something, and both Damien and Ace were a crucial part of that scheme. The only reason for their importance, Ace could think, is the ’Heaven Chosen’ status!

Moreover, Elder Maxwell had already told him that it was decided that he would enter a secret realm, and that’s why he was sent to the Prosperity Law Hall to cultivate and increase his strength for the Ascension Grand General Realm.

But unexpectedly, Damien was already there before him, and he had another motive. Even if Ace hadn’t appeared and ruined Damien’s plans, the process would’ve been the same, with the only difference being that Damien might have succeeded and escaped with the treasure.

However, now Damien has failed, and he absolutely won’t allow Ace to escape with the treasure, so he comes to forget and reveals the ’truth’.

Furthermore, Damien had a ’witness’, and from their earlier encounter, Damien was confident that Ace wouldn’t dare go against him if he didn’t want to offend the Son of Heaven.

But Damien never expected that the Prosperity Matriarch had forced Ace to sign a slave contract. She would believe everything Ace told her because she absolutely trusted the Blood Bondage Contract over Damien.

Unexpectedly, Prosperity Matriarch was also tricked into thinking that Ace was under her control, but in reality, he was never because of the system, and he was only playing along while taking advantage of this contract.

It was clear that the Prosperity Matriarch held the law legacy in very high regard, and she wouldn’t allow someone else to take away what was inside. In fact, this item was there even before the founding of the PHW King Sect, and throughout history, no one has ever been able to acknowledge it, including previous Wealth Kings and the Prosperity Matriarch.

Although the Wealth King of each generation knew a secret method to enter the second and third levels of the law legacy, they couldn’t touch the treasure without being acknowledged by it.

But now, someone had claimed it, and the Prosperity Matriarch could get it as long as she found the culprit. She was mostly suspicious of Damien, and as for the Sky Stealer, she didn’t believe him at all because they had already gotten news that the Sky Stealer was on a rampage in the three sect cities of the Runic King Crown Palace. The entire Great Crown Domain was searching for him.

This matter was so huge that it couldn’t be hidden, and as one of the six top sects on the same level as the Runic King Crown Palace, the Prime Heavenly Wealth King Sect had received the news far before the other powers.

That’s why when Damien brought out the Sky Stealer, Prosperity Matriarch didn’t believe him and even had hidden killing intent against Damien. Furthermore, she didn’t sense a foreign aura or any kind of hidden method being used to escape, which made her almost believe that it was Damien who did all of this.

But when he mentioned Ace in this, she finally hesitated. Since she trusts Ace more, she wants to know what actually happened.

Now Ace was telling her ’everything’ that transpired within the Law Legacy. He told them that he abruptly entered the third level of the Law Legacy space while omitting the part about going to the second level. Nonetheless, it still shocked her because it meant the Law Legacy acknowledged him.

“Once I entered that place, he was there before me.” Ace stoically continued, and at this moment, everything glanced at Damien.

’What is going on?! Is that brat under her spell?!’ Damien had already noticed that something was amiss with Ace’s way of speaking and his expression.

He instantly guessed that the Prosperity Matriarch had used a terrifying method to control Ace, and now he was spilling everything. Although he wasn’t the one who acquired the treasure, he absolutely couldn’t let them find out that he was the one who freed it and had prior knowledge of it, which would expose his scheme.

’I have to shift their focus!’ A hint of madness surfaced in Damien’s eyes as he suddenly made up his mind and roared.

“Sky Stealer, you can’t escape!”

This shocked everyone, including Ace, as his eyes narrowed within the inner world of his avatar. He suddenly had a bad proposition because he was just about to ’reveal’ everything, and he knew that once he revealed the ’truth,’ the entire PHW King Sect would be bloody for Damien.

But how could Damien allow this to happen?

At this moment, the 1,000-meter-tall regal phantom with a blindfold suddenly appeared behind Damien.

Damien’s eyes completely turned golden without any blood, as he coldly roared, “Judgement Field!”
