Eternal Thief

Ace looked at Pixy, who had left his inner world after her ‘evaluation,’ and her expression was solemn with a hint of excitement.

Although he readily agreed to form a Primal Bond with her, it wasn’t based on impulse or recklessness. Many factors were involved in his decision, such as the Eternal Thief Fate Compass and the System.

Without them, Ace wouldn’t have agreed so easily since Pixy wasn’t naïve or innocent; she was far from it.

At this moment, Pixy suddenly demanded, “Please remove your robe.”

Ace was caught off guard by this sudden request, and hesitantly asked, “All of them?”

Pixy blinked before she said, “No, just your top. If it suits your taste, you can remove everything.”

‘Suit my taste?!’ Ace instantly felt offended and wanted to correct her, but looking at her innocent expression, he decided not to. The next moment, his robe was removed, revealing his chiseled torso without any blemish.

Pixy didn’t react emotionally, and without any explanation, she flew close to his chest, saying, “Please refrain from moving. I’m going to draw the Primal Runes to start the Primal Bond. You need to endure, or we’ll both suffer terrible backlash.”

Ace impassively nodded while he attentively observed what she was going to do, and the next moment, he was shocked when Pixy suddenly bit her thumb, and blood flowed out.

Pixy’s blood was shockingly kaleidoscopic, just like her eyes. As if following her will, the blood suddenly surged towards Ace’s left breast, where his heart was located, and turned into thin ethereal threads.

But the moment Pixy’s blood threads touched Ace’s skin, his expression warped because he instantly felt terrifying heat as if he was touched by molten iron. Right now, Ace’s body was akin to an Ascension Grade Weapon and not just any weapon but a primordial one.

Yet, Pixy’s blood threads not only made him feel terrible pain, but his skin was cut open, and his own black blood gushed out. But it wasn’t just any blood. Ace trembled violently when he felt his heart stirring; this blood was directly drawn from his heart!

But strangely enough, his blood didn’t flow. Instead, as Pixy’s blood thread etched unknown runic symbols on his chest, his blood seemed to mix with hers, like a catalyst. The threads turned pitch black as an array of runes formed.

Ace wanted to stop, as a sense of weakness overwhelmed him. He wanted to stop this process instinctively, but remembering Pixy’s words, he endured. His expression became paler, and he was again given the shock of his life when he saw that the runes forming by Pixy and his blood were the Language of Ancient Gods!

Ten characters of the Language of Ancient Gods were neatly woven on his chest in a circle. The moment the final character was completed, Pixy stopped, but her complexion was even paler than Ace’s.

Pixy’s weak yet solemn voice sounded at this moment, “Tell me your true name!”

“Ace White!” Ace replied.

However, Pixy’s expression changed, and Ace even sensed a hint of killing intent from the tiny spirit. For the first time, she spoke coldly, “I said your True Name, not your worldly name! This is not your true name!”

Ace was stunned. Her unexpected reaction left him dumbfounded. But then, something clicked in his mind.

His eyes widened, and with a doubtful expression, he murmured a different name:

“Heaven’s Stealer!”

The moment Ace used that name, he instantly felt the array on his chest stir and suddenly release a mystical power. The symbols came alive and shimmered, and Pixy’s expression also visibly relaxed.

She continued, “I, the Primal Spirit of Wealth, do hereby acknowledge Heaven’s Stealer as mine chosen one!

“I shall bestow upon Heaven’s Stealer mine True Name, in accord with the ancient custom of the Primal Spirits, and thereby bind mine origin unto him!

“O Heaven’s Stealer, hearken unto mine True Name, and cherish it—guard it as thine own—for the Primal Spirits of the Ancients do look upon us, bearing witness to our sacred union.

“Mine True Name is: Pixie of Universal Wealth!”

As Pixy’s solemn proclamation echoed into silence, the very air around them quivered. For a moment, Ace could neither breathe nor blink.

Then—BOOM—A formless wave of pressure burst forth from his chest, radiating outward in a ripple of invisible force.

The ten characters etched into his skin with blood shimmered with brilliant, alternating hues of obsidian black and kaleidoscopic light—Ace’s own blood and Pixy’s resonating together perfectly.

The ten symbols pulsed in unison once—Thump!—and Ace felt his heart skip a beat. The pain had dulled, but what replaced it was a strange burning warmth.

A glow like living starlight began to seep into the lines of the runes, as if the Language of Ancient Gods was awakening to a more profound truth.

Suddenly, the runes twisted.

No longer static, the ancient characters began to rotate and spiral like a living sigil, pulling themselves toward the center of his chest, condensing, merging, transforming.

Ace gritted his teeth as a searing sensation surged beneath his skin—not pain, but power. Power being branded, etched into his very heart, his soul.

The ten runes snapped into place with one final contraction, collapsing into a new form.

Ace’s chest ignited with blinding radiance as the circular formation transformed into a singular tattoo—a womanly figure with kaleidoscopic butterfly wings, pulsing with the energy of both the Primal Spirit and his blood, creating a mystical rhythm.

As the light faded, the tattoo settled into his flesh—not crude ink but a mystical emblem of identity and covenant. The shimmering and faint prismatic light faded away.

This tattoo was extremely vivid and beautiful. Anyone who saw it would have thought it was a piece of art, but only Ace knew that it was a perfect replica of Pixy and could feel its magical properties. He could tell something deep within him had changed.

At this moment, Pixy whispered, “It’s done…!”

Following Pixy’s voice, the system’s voice also rang at this moment.
