Eternal Thief

’That was close!’

Ace sighed in relief after the Grand Wealth Lord left, before ecstasy shone in his eyes as he opened his fist, and there was a golden storage ring with beautiful white carving.

At this moment, the system’s notification rang.

Ace wasn’t surprised after seeing the interface in front of him, instead he was grinning with joy as he couldn’t believe that he just pickpocketed an Ascension Grand Lord without altering him!

’I’m really becoming more and more daring…’ Ace smiled faintly as he looked at the reward he got after pulling an almost impossible theft; this made the risk all worth it.

But Ace didn’t dare to be arrogant and thought he would be able to pull something like this again with another Ascension Grand Lord. The Grand Wealth Lord only became a victim because of his own foolishness and arrogance.

Once the Grand Wealth Lord dropped his guard against Ace and thought the latter couldn’t do anything against him because he was the slave of Prosperity Matriarch, Ace couldn’t miss such a chance to take advantage of this situation.

That’s when Ace decided to use Absolute Pickpocket. At the same time, he meticulously distracted the Grand Wealth Lord’s attention and took advantage of his greed and excitement when he hurriedly ran to find the Prosperity Matriarch. Ace successfully used the Absolute Pickpocket.

Although it may sound easy, if Ace had messed it up even a little bit, the Grand Wealth Lord would’ve instantly noticed something amiss and detected the invisible soul thread.

Ace looked at the Thief Farewell Note, and after considering the situation, his eyes lit up as a mischief glint flashed past his eyes.

“System write…”

After giving confirmation, the interface vanished, and Ace seemed extremely pleased as he couldn’t wait to see Grand Wealth Lord’s reaction once he found his note.

As for exposing his identity, Ace wasn’t worried because after what happened, it wasn’t impossible for him to stay in the PHW King Sect, especially with the Grand Wealth Lord discovering his true strength.

Even if Ace hadn’t pickpocketed the Grand Wealth Lord’s storage ring, the latter wouldn’t have let Ace go easily. Moreover, as the Sect Master of the PHW King Sect, and now that the Prosperity Matriarch had gone into hiding, he holds absolute authority.

Although Ace didn’t know what scheme the mother and son were hatching before, he now has no interest in participating in it, having inherited the law legacy and wealth of the Sect Master of the PHW King Sect.

’It’s a pity that I couldn’t get my hands on the Prosperity Matriarch’s storage treasure. I’m pretty sure the tally would’ve been twice or even more if it were her lifelong wealth, especially a greedy Ascension King like her would have hoarded all the good treasures to herself. Just those millions of Spirit Stones and Spirit Crystals that she sacrificed to use that ability are evidence of her wealth!’ With a rueful expression, Ace sighed.

But he didn’t dwell on this topic because time was running out, and he didn’t know when the Grand Wealth Lord would notice the ’present’ he left him.

However, at that moment, an abrupt system prompt rang out, followed by an interference that appeared in front of him.

=====

Ace was startled, but at the same time, he was excited, ’It’s finally here. I guess I don’t have time to ’visit’ the treasury anymore. Even if I haven’t encountered the Grand Wealth Lord, I wouldn’t have enough time…’

Although slightly regretful, Ace didn’t mind this slight mishap. After all, he had already gained many things from the PHW King Sect. He had actively ruined Heaven’s Advocate’s plans and even snatched a treasure that the latter wanted desperately, and then made him fall out with one of the six strongest sects.

Lastly, he successfully pickpocketed the Sect Master of the PHW King Sect and scored a huge thievery.

Ace emotionally looked towards the clear sky before he smiled with melancholy, ’I’m leaving this world for another entirely different one, a world without day, a world ruled over by forces of darkness, a new adventure filled with mysteries and difficulties.

’I have conquered the First Heaven; can I repeat the same with the First Abyss? Will my enemy follow me there? Regardless, I’m looking forward to it.

’For now, I shall bid farewell to these bright lands, but I’ll be back very soon…!’

Ace smiled with resolution as he was ready to embark on the unknown journey ahead with a heart full of hope and thievish dreams!

At this moment, the Grand Wealth Lord was moving at breakneck speed with his heart full of excitement and hidden schemes, and his eyes were almost burning with greed.

He was already hundreds of miles away from the Prime Heavenly Wealth King Sect, as the surrounding space held little resistance because of his current cultivation realm.

But at this moment, something suddenly flashed in the Grand Wealth Lord’s mind, ’Should I try probing her? What if she hadn’t actually lost all of her power? Furthermore, knowing that, she won’t even trust me, her own son, with her whereabouts, how could she easily entrust that slave?’

Thinking up to this point, the Grand Wealth Lord flipped his hand, as if summoning something from his storage ring. But he was bewildered the next moment because his hand was empty; the storage ring didn’t react to his command!
