Eternal Thief

Ace’s eyes widened after Pixy unraveled this crucial information. However, he didn’t know how much of it was true. After all, Pixy had already proven to be an excellent ‘Dissembler’, and this Primal Spirit didn’t seem naïve at all.

“So to speak, you were the one who sealed yourself after whoever summoned you failed to meet those secret conditions?” Ace inquired impassively.

Pixy suddenly pulled an ambiguous smile and replied, “That’s the gist of it.”

Ace grimaced because Pixy’s answer was too ambiguous.

“Forgive me, can you elaborate?”

Pixy shook her head with a pitiful expression. She said, “I can’t. How can you be so cruel to have me remember my painful past filled with disappointment and sadness? Shouldn’t men be supposed to take care of their women?”

“Stop playing with words, it won’t work.” Ace’s voice turned cold, “Don’t forget, if I can break your seal, I can put another just as effortlessly.”

Pixy’s smile suddenly dropped, and a strange look surfaced in her eyes, “Oh, but I’m afraid, it’s no longer possible, mister.”

Ace suddenly sensed something amiss, ‘Is she calling my bluff? Or there’s something I still don’t know?’

Suppressing his unease, he impassively said, “And why is that, pray tell?”

Pixy pulled a charming smile, seemingly filled with ecstasy, “Didn’t I just tell Mister that every True Spirit is unique, and born from primordial laws? Even among True Spirits, hierarchy still exists, but not like you, Heavenly and Abyssal Beings.

“Hmm~ let me put it in terms of a mortal kingdom hierarchy, in a kingdom, there are social classes like commoners, rich, nobles, and royals, right? The same thing exists among the Primal Spirits as well.

“There are common class Primal Spirits that are born from the most common laws, then rich class Primal Spirits born with rare laws, then noble class who are born through a combination of laws, and finally, the royal class. These Primal Spirits are born through Primordial Laws.

“Since Mister has already gained the acknowledgment of the Order of Darkness, Mister should know that only with the acknowledgment of an Order one can wield Primordial Laws, and completely command all of its branch laws!”

Pixy casually revealed something that she thought Ace should’ve already known, but he didn’t, and this made massive waves rise in Ace’s heart when he heard the secret of an order and primordial Qi!

‘Wait! It’s not completely accurate, I can cultivate primordial Qi from the start before it turns into the Primordial Qi of Darkness. Could it be that my cultivation technique is created based on the Order of Darkness to prepare me until I can inherit it completely?

‘If I think about it, this made complete sense since I only gain the first order when I was almost at the peak of the elemental state and then the darkness order have many of its own rules and now with the Prime Law of Darkness, I can imitate other laws, and they are even more powerful!

‘Then what about the Primordial Law of Destruction?! Doesn’t this mean that Magister has an Order?!’ A chill ran down Ace’s spine just thinking about this fact, ‘No, I need more information before reaching a conclusion, since there are also branch laws, and Destruction might be just a branch of another law like the Law of Darkness…

‘But since the Magister of Destruction appeared in a Heavenly Punishment, would it be safe to assume that Heaven has an order like the Order of Darkness, just myself and Heavenly Lightning should also be part of that order…’

The more Ace thought about it, the more shocked he felt, especially because there were many proofs, and he also had an Order, so he knew better than anyone just how terrifying an order can be.

But it only made him warier and more apprehensive of his enemy, since his enemy’s Order was far higher than his, and that Order was still restricted by Natural Order. Yet, it always left him near death. Just thinking about its full extent made Ace’s heart icy cold.

Lastly, an even more startling realization struck Ace: if the Destruction was part of another Order, then how was he able to integrate it into his world?

The only answer for Ace questions was…the system!

Ace suppressed his thoughts as he paid attention to Pixy, who was still unaware of providing him with a crucial piece of information.

“So, now that Mister understands the hierarchy of the Primal Spirits, it would be easier to under the next part and also my main point. You see, among Primal Spirits, the lower you rank in this hierarchy, the better, because the conditions to form a Primal Bond will be equally lax. In contrast, those ranked higher will be considered pitiful because of the absurd conditions of Primal Bond.”

Realization dawned on Ace at this moment, and he looked at Pixy, who seemed still smiling, but there was a hint of pain.

“But what did this have to do with what you said earlier?” Ace questioned; he knew he couldn’t show compassion to this Primal Spirit, or he wouldn’t even know how he fell into her trap. She was too cunning and manipulative.

Pixy’s eyes flickered with a profound glint as she replied, “Oh, please forgive me for my melancholy. What I was conveying is, I’m also one of those Primal Spirits of the highest class, so the conditions to form my Primal Bond are the harshest…”

‘What is this strange feeling…’ The unease in his heart grew for some reason because Pixy’s expression was strangely bright, and even a hint of thrill was present.

But then, something suddenly came to his mind, and his eyes widened with disbelief, “Wait! Don’t tell me one of those conditions is something like ‘breaking your seal’, it couldn’t be right?”

Pixy showed a hint of surprise before her smile grew deeper and brighter, “I had to admit, mister is genuinely worthy of being my chosen one. You’re almost as wise as I. There are nine harsh conditions that must be met to form a Primal Bond with me.

“Primal Seal Break, Dissembler Conflict, Forbidden Bloodline, Forbidden Physique, Perfection in Power, Order Acknowledgment, Enemy of a Forbidden Existence, Master of Eternal Provenance, and Raised by Unknown…”

Ace suddenly stood up as his heart was beating wildly, “W-why are you revealing this to me?! I thought you couldn’t share this information with anyone!”

Pixy blinked innocently as she said matter-of-factly, “Oh, I really can’t share them unless…they are all completed by the chosen one!”
