Counterfeit Hero

Chapter 1390: Chapter 102: Miniature Mecha (2)

The Mechanical Department is the shortcoming of Meteor Company. It is also the engine. If the Mechanical Department can obtain the Thunderbolt Mecha order, Meteor Company will leap to become the largest arms dealer.

Everything Fatty had shown before had already shocked Robinson enough. He knew that opportunities were fleeting. He didn’t even have time to call the big boss Matt.

As a professional manager, sitting on the throne of the General Manager of Meteor Company’s Mechanical Department, Robinson took twenty years. And today, speaking with Fatty didn’t exceed twenty seconds. These twenty seconds will decide his future. Taking this step might be the peak of his life, or perhaps, his most tragic one.

Robinson’s gaze was always tightly fixed on Fatty.

His choice, is it right or wrong!

Under Robinson’s watchful eye, Fatty picked up the communicator on the data platform casually and said, ”Markovich, perform engine data testing.”

The Ranger in the trial hall started up. Fatty’s mecha walked briskly to the trial platform in the hall and stood at attention.

The external armor of the mecha’s abdomen compressed and folded rapidly, revealing a cyan shell. Then, a small square shell popped open, exposing several data interfaces to everyone’s sight.

The Ranger’s engine?!

How could a Tenth Generation Mecha possess an engine exceeding a Twelfth Generation Mecha?!

Markovich’s actions sparked a commotion in the observation room. Under the stunned gaze of everyone, the hesitant staff connected the data cable from the testing center to the interface.

”Testing begins, Level 1 power.”

”Instant boost.”

”Extreme stability time.”

”Level 2 power.”

”Instant boost.”

”Extreme stability time.”

”Level 3 power......”

The Ranger’s engine fluctuated up and down in line with the tester’s command. Everyone’s hearts soared and fell correspondingly.

Watching the yet-to-be-released data on the computer screen, Robinson’s forehead was already seeping large beads of sweat. Not far to the left, Vaughn Company’s senior officials and chief technical consultant Kedun looked even more nervous than Robinson.

A whole half an hour had passed, and finally, the roaring of the Ranger’s engine stopped.

In the silence, the screen of the data center began to change, rows and rows of data rising from the bottom. The data ran quickly. Although it was rising, looking at it in the end, the screen full of numbers seemed like a waterfall falling down.

For the generals present, this was undoubtedly a mysterious script. However, even if they didn’t understand the data, they knew what the outcome of this engine test was. Because, the moment the data appeared, the whole hall was in an uproar as if it had exploded. The scientists’ unreserved shock and excitement were enough to explain everything.

”This is impossible, this is impossible,” Kedun pointed at the screen with trembling fingers, crying hoarsely, ”Fraud, this is a fraud!”

He suddenly turned around, glaring angrily at Fatty, saying, ”Why not bring out the blueprints, why not bring out the real thing? Do you think colluding with those below can deceive everyone? It’s impossible, there can’t be an engine more advanced than A21! It’s nearly doubled, this data is ridiculous, hahaha.”

Kedun’s laughter was dry and raspy; it’s more like a dry howl than laughter.

Forgery?

This possibility indeed existed, and the scholars present were shocked in their hearts.

Fatty glanced disdainfully at Kedun, a look that could cause someone to collapse.

”Fraudster,” Kedun’s voice became increasingly hysterical. He squeezed into the crowd, pointing at Fatty’s nose, ”You’ve colluded, any data can be fabricated. Those interfaces aren’t engine test interfaces; they’re mechanical computer interfaces!”

Using a hand twitching like a convulsion, he pointed at the data line labeled by Fatty, raving, ”Engine power boost by eighty-three percent, hahaha, Mech Knight survival rate boost by two hundred percent. You can fake engine data, but how do you fake Mech Knight survival rates? You show it, show it to us!”

Kedun’s words drew everyone’s attention to Fatty’s data line’s most incredible data point.

If the Ranger’s engine improved its performance by eighty-three percent over the A21 engine, that might be acceptable, but the Mech Knight survival rate increasing by two hundred percent was indeed astounding.

Be aware, whether it’s the energy shield or external armor, what Thunderbolt uses are the best materials currently available to the Fei Alliance. The research group had nearly a hundred experts just in the field of materials science, the largest team in the group.

The protective capability of the Thunderbolt Mecha had almost reached its peak. An ordinary Energy Cannon requires ten concentrated blasts to break down the energy shield. To pierce through the external armor, at least two blasts are needed. Such defensive capability almost completely isolates remote weapon strikes. Only ion light sabers and equivalent level mechas in close combat can instantly cause severe damage to the body.

To enhance this kind of defensive capability by another two hundred percent is simply a fantasy.

Actually, whether or not the bandit army brings out the final data no longer really matters. With the Hummingbird Engine, stealth coating, new transmission system, power storage device, and the mysterious engine of the Ranger, the bandit army had already turned this Mechanical Trial Meeting into a showcase of their strength.
