Counterfeit Hero

Chapter 1388: Chapter 101: Uncovering the Truth to the End (2)

With a nimble movement of Fatty’s fingers, the metal ball suddenly transformed into a wrench.

This is the new automatic repair arm that Fatty swiped from the Leray First Military Academy warehouse, and has always kept in his room at Mars First Base. This time, it was brought by the bandit army.

Fatty was originally a Grandmaster Level Mechanic, naturally gifted with quick hands. This repair skill combined with the magical-like new automatic repair arm, once displayed, instantly stunned the people around.

In a sound of gasping, Fatty’s hand moved like a Phantom, the metal ball swiftly transformed into various tools, and between the rise and fall of his hands, a complete Power Storage Device was completely stripped open.

Many people immediately turned to look at Barbara.

Everyone knows that Fatty comes from a Mechanic Soldier background, but to explain this divine skill using simply a Mechanic Soldier background is barely plausible. Among the present Mechanical Masters, which one does not have the craft to manipulate mechanics? However, compared to this Fatty, even the highest-ranked mechanic in the joint research group seemed like they have hooves without fingers!

When the shell of the Power Storage Device was opened, and the kinetic converter was removed, revealing the folded acceleration circuit beneath the precision parts, the eyes of several scientists turned red immediately.

”Four-channel acceleration circuit!” A scientist with considerable research in power storage almost pounced on the Power Storage Device, greedily gazing at the neatly compact acceleration circuit like a hungry wolf seeing a plump lamb.

Everyone knows that the current challenge of power storage is not in storage capacity, but in collection and release capacity.

When the power wasted during Mecha’s intense motion is collected and released by the Power Storage Device, the speed of kinetic energy determines the strength of kinetic energy. Although current technology has transformed ancient Earth’s gigantic acceleration channels, which stretched hundreds or even thousands of kilometers, into ring channels of only a few dozen meters. Yet, due to material issues, this length cannot be shortened.

Therefore, the kinetic energy storage of Mecha falls far behind that of warships in terms of function. Warships can achieve lossless power storage, whereas Mecha loses over sixty percent of kinetic energy. The reason is that Mecha’s kinetic energy storage can only have a circuit about one meter long due to volume constraints.

Yet Fatty’s kinetic energy storage acceleration circuit, if fully extended, reaches six meters long. Although it can’t achieve the lossless kinetic storage of warships, increasing the kinetic energy utilization rate by forty percent is well within reach!

This object quietly lay in front of everyone. Given the eyesight of the scientists present, no one would doubt it’s merely a fake model.

Aside from the four-channel circuit, just the exquisite design of the other parts of the Power Storage Device already dazzles many scientists present, eager to grab and run.

”Did you develop this?” That wolf-like scientist caressed the instrument with a hand, like a treasure, while asking Fatty.

”Of course,” Fatty replied with a breezy smile, ”perhaps you don’t know, I’m a student of Professor Boswell, and also a senior to Professor Milan.”

”The teacher took me in first, then you,” Milan retorted discontentedly, ”I’m the senior sister, you’re the junior brother.”

Milan’s words inadvertently confirmed Fatty’s statement.

The scientists present, seeing Fatty again, no longer harbored previous rejection.

Although Milan and Boswell were subject to considerable exclusion in the research group, most who ostracized them were those affiliated with Leefer’s followers. In the eyes of other scientists, this old and young pair commands great respect.

Milan is an expert in miniaturization, and Boswell participated in more than ten challenge groups for numerous difficulties within the development team.

Being part of so many challenge groups is itself a testament to Boswell’s knowledge. Moreover, Boswell is also a student of Leray’s legendary scientist Casper’s protégé, and Professor Hill’s disciple. Based on this identity alone, it is enough to silence many.

If, before this Fatty, he was a Vice Admiral, causing scientists to have natural antipathy towards those outside their field, then, as a disciple of Boswell coupled with the Power Storage Device he developed, and his godlike technology, it is more than enough for these proud scientists to regard him as one of their kind.

”I’m Andy Haifer.” The wolf-like scientist who had been crouching in front of the Power Storage Device extended his hand and shook Fatty’s, saying, ”The four-channel circuit, solving the problem of kinetic energy loss when moving direction in circuit curvature using the counterbalanced method, I’ve studied for a long time. But I haven’t been able to figure it out. Unexpectedly, you’ve already developed it.”

As he spoke, Haifer shook his head dejectedly, ”I thought, only I and another guy had this idea, but didn’t expect, there’s always a bigger fish out there!”

”Another guy?” Fatty blinked, just about to ask, when Haifer glared at another scientist in the same uniform beside him: ”Green, didn’t you say the four-channel circuit was impossible? Now what do you say?”

The scientist questioned by Haifer, glued to the Power Storage Device, firmly said, ”I was wrong. Deep inquiry into breaking what seemed unbreakable, that guy’s a genius.”

”Deep inquiry into breaking what seemed unbreakable?”

”That guy?!”

”He’s been missing for a long time, right?”

”What does he have to do with this?”

The appearance of this name immediately sparked a commotion on the scene.

Many scientists present had interacted with this comet-like individual who appeared and then swiftly disappeared online.

His mysterious appearance and disappearance have become one of the most renowned public cases in the scientific community. Yet, his wild yet intriguing forum posts remain pinned on major scientific forums. His genius and eccentric ideas across various fields are consistently the topic of eager discussion among scientists.

”The first time I saw this idea was when it was proposed by Deep inquiry into breaking what seemed unbreakable.” Haifer stared at the instrument in front, shaking his head and muttering, ”Sadly, this person suddenly vanished, I still had many questions I wanted to discuss with him! If he were here and saw others with the same idea, he’d likely be very pleased.”

”I’ve read every post by Deep inquiry into breaking what seemed unbreakable,” a curious scientist nearby said, ”How come I didn’t see such an idea proposed?”

”It’s on our academy’s forum, but his public posts mainly discuss storage devices, while this idea was sent to my inbox.” Haifer explained.

”You’re Sea God Poseidon?” Fatty squatted beside Haifer and whispered a question that struck like lightning.

Haifer swiftly turned back, staring at Fatty with wide-eyed disbelief.

Fatty smiled, extended his hand, and shook Haifer’s: ”Nice to meet you again, I am Deep inquiry into breaking what seemed unbreakable.”

”You are?” Everyone gawked at Fatty in shock.

Haifer stared at Fatty in astonishment, suddenly saying, ”It’s undeniable, the only one who can call out Sea God Poseidon by name is Deep inquiry into breaking what seemed unbreakable!”

He grabbed Fatty abruptly, shouting, ”God, I should’ve realized earlier, the only one who could develop a four-channel circuit was you all along, how could there possibly be another!”

With a sudden boom, the observation room hall was overwhelmed by the explosive uproar. The scientists, having come to their senses, virtually crowded around Fatty.

Haifer’s confirmation was undoubtedly trustworthy.

He’s Sea God Poseidon, yet he’s also the seventh ranked Chief Technical Advisor at Chuckna Dragon Sword Company, the Vice Dean at Hanjing First Military Academy, and head of the Power Engineering Department!
