Chapter 1353: Chapter 85: Myth Shattered (10)_2

The two Major Generals of Leray are as foolish as Faset! Madhuwan sneered as he retreated into the protective circle of a few armed soldiers, his gaze gloomily falling on the graceful figure not far behind the two Major Generals of Leray.

The moment this figure appeared, Madhuwan recognized her. This young and beautiful temptress was once the target of a secret assassination arranged by him and Faset. Hastings’ granddaughter, the future successor of the Feiyang Military - Margaret!

She stood quietly there, seemingly curious about the excited emotions of the surrounding Chuckna citizens.

Seeing the ”appreciative” look she cast towards him, Madhuwan suddenly felt a chill. If he had always been disdainful of the soldiers before him, he was vividly aware of the series of retaliatory actions just completed by this woman, known as the ”witch,” in Feiyang.

The older the fox, the more unwilling it is to provoke a brightly patterned little viper.

This woman, appearing here at this moment, what does she intend to do?

Suddenly, an ominous premonition arose in Madhuwan’s heart, the intensity of which made him almost want to order the immediate execution of this woman on the spot. However, he knew, not to mention the security forces wouldn’t execute such a command, that even if they did, he couldn’t take the risk under such scrutiny.

With the actions of the security forces and the anger of the public, the situation grew increasingly tense. Madhuwan’s premonition was becoming a reality.

”Want evidence?” Margaret walked up to Rashid and Stewart, exchanged a smile with the two Major Generals of Leray, then turned to Madhuwan, ”You want to see the evidence; I’ll show you.”

With that, Margaret lightly clapped her hands.

All around fell silent because of this girl in a Feiyang uniform; Chuckna citizens looked at Margaret, dumbfounded, not understanding why this beautiful Feiyang Colonel would stand beside the bandit army.

However, they no longer had time to ponder this question. As Margaret clapped her hands, people suddenly realized that the televisions around the square and on several hospital buildings abruptly switched to a room with an interrogation scene.

A middle-aged man with a sweat-drenched head stammered as he confessed, his voice cautious, language disorganized, babbling incessantly.

Seeing this middle-aged man, Madhuwan noticed that Faset’s expression suddenly became tense and hopeless.

As the middle-aged man continued confessing, a tumult arose among the people, eventually escalating into an uproar. Even the soldiers of the 31st Army, who had been stubbornly glancing angrily at the bandit army, couldn’t help but cast surprised and suspicious gazes towards their major general and several senior officers.

In this middle-aged man’s confession, the attack plan was formulated and executed by Faset, and his role was to obtain Margaret’s route and real-time coordinates.

”General Faset, is what this person says true?” Madhuwan’s heart sank deeper and deeper; he knew it seemed he had fallen into a trap. Years of political life had honed his ability to swiftly discern the depth and breadth of this trap and climb out quickly. He turned to Faset, his face stern and serious: ”Please answer me.”

”This is slander,” Faset chuckled, shrugged his shoulders, and calmly replied, ”General Leefer will clear my name. To convict someone, you can’t just record a video with anyone casually; at the very least, you should find someone of significant weight.”

Madhuwan’s heart sank to the bottom.

Even though Faset’s gaze remained calm, Madhuwan could perceive the underlying tension and panic. Faset’s words further allowed him to hear the hidden connotation.

He’s telling him that as long as Leefer is there, there is no need to worry. If he doesn’t assist him, then Faset clearly would become that significant person...

Now at this point, this frenzy must be stirred up. Only by plunging the entire Chuckna into the planned chaotic storm can he use the party’s influence to pressure Hill, secure Leefer’s support, guide Chuckna onto his designated trajectory, and finally trigger a new reform in the military department, which has always eluded his control.

In almost an instant, Madhuwan made his decision.

He suddenly turned around, his voice stern and sharp: ”Right or wrong, you’re all mistaken; this is Chuckna! None of you have the right to behave recklessly on this land!”

Madhuwan’s words quickly incited responses from many in the surrounding crowd.

”Get out!”

”Chuckna is not a place for you to behave recklessly.”

The public, who had already calmed down, became agitated once more. The crowd continually surged forward, and many people within the crowd were ready to confront the bandit army.

Suddenly, the noisy crowd was forcibly separated. A team of soldiers ran in.

”Attention!” With the command of a Colonel, these more than a hundred soldiers stood at attention, blocking the surging crowd.

Seeing these soldiers, the television-viewing public simultaneously gasped in surprise.

These young warriors were all too familiar to everyone. Not long ago, the names of these warriors had been on a poignant list everyone cared about. Just recently, everyone personally witnessed these warriors driving Mecha, bravely charging against the Jiepeng 2nd Armored Division several times their size.

They are the nation’s heroes. Ten hours ago, President Hill personally awarded them.

And now, under Colonel Anthony’s leadership, they appeared collectively here.

The agitated crowd quickly came to a halt. The people at the very front nearly pressed against the warriors. They stared in astonishment at these warriors before them, at the red Chuckna Level 1 Hero Medals on their chests.

In shock, a figure walked in from the separated crowd.

”You’re right; no one has the qualification to act recklessly on Chuckna’s land, even if they carry our Allies’ banners,” an elderly man slowly approached Rashid, Stewart, and Margaret, giving them a slight smile and turning to say to Madhuwan, ”My dear Vice President, this is the only correct thing you’ve said in recent years.”

”Marshal Li Cunxin?!”

With the news anchor’s exclamation, all viewers in front of the television were left stunned.

They watched the wandering gaze of Madhuwan, saw more than a hundred Chuckna heroes blocking the bandit army, looked at their ideological stabilizer, the Old Marshal Li Cunxin, and suddenly realized that the situation seemed to have spiraled out of control. As the bandit army’s Mecha fury entered the city via the First Avenue, a storm was surreptitiously gathering.

At this moment, in front of the Army General Hospital.

This storm had already started to reveal its menacing visage.

”Well then,” Li Cunxin heavily patted Rashid and Stewart on the shoulders, giving a thumbs up, turned around, clapped his hands and said, ”Let’s see who truly has the right to act recklessly on this land.”

In a quiet villa, an elderly man stared intently at the television, suddenly turning to his secretary beside him, ”Get me President Hill; I need a good conversation with him.”

”Yes, Chairman,” the secretary replied respectfully.

. The failure to achieve two updates as promised was due to being stuck at this Chapter for a long time. For such transitional Chapters, I always write very slowly. Even for climax Chapters, it seems to be slow.

So, damn it, I don’t even know what Chapter I can write quickly. Although I don’t dare promise updates every day, I’ll try to arrange my time well; April will definitely have more updates than March.
