Counterfeit Hero

The battleship has just completed its final tests. Dozens of researchers in white uniforms are removing mobile monitoring instruments, data acquisition devices, scanners, and other equipment probes from the battleship.

Fatty quietly looked at the two battleships in front of him. The battleships are eight hundred meters long and three hundred meters wide, with gun wings on both sides exceeding four hundred meters at their widest points, and the tail wing at its highest point exceeding two hundred and sixty meters. They lie quietly in the dock like two stranded sharks. It’s impossible to see any trace of Saleria’s Napoleon-class battleships anymore.

”These two battleships are equipped with eight new power cabins and sixteen sets of ion turbine engines. Their speed is 2.5 times that of the previous Napoleon-class battleships.” Fang Xiang held onto the console’s railing, her graceful and voluptuous body slightly leaning forward, her radiant face full of fascination: ”A 4600mm main cannon, six 2300mm secondary cannons, sixty-two 1100mm rotary cannons, and five hundred 300mm automatic defense cannons...they’re just like two hedgehogs!”

”The ship structure is designed according to your separate blueprints. It can fully perform high-speed collisions.” Fang Xiang turned to look at Fatty: ”The energy shield uses the logistics department’s newly designed dual-layer structure. Even if a Unicorn battleship’s main cannon hits it three times at close range consecutively, the energy shield won’t collapse. Plus, with the energy decomposition storage device, the alert-level energy shield can completely recover its defense strength in just ten minutes!”

Fatty stared dumbly at Fang Xiang. Her matured body, slightly leaning back while she looked, reminded him so much of...the classic version he fell in love with at eight...Ow...Sister!!

”Honestly, even knowing just these basic things, there are many more improvements I haven’t actually experienced. But...” Fang Xiang wasn’t aware of her ”little brother’s” dirty thoughts. She was completely mesmerized by her fascination with these two battleships, speaking to herself: ”...I’ve lost words to describe them. In terms of performance, this battleship may only rank among the top fifteen among various nations’ battleships! But combat power...I can’t estimate.”

Unmeasurable. Fang Xiang was speaking the truth without a hint of exaggeration.

Though in terms of performance, the battleships modified in this dock are still unable to compete against products integrated by the super shipbuilding systems of superpowers in areas like electronics and fire control, in space combat, victory isn’t determined solely by the ship’s performance. Too many factors affect the outcome of a battle.

And this battleship has actually transcended the traditional category of battleships. In Fang Xiang’s view, this battleship is more suitable for the environment of the Freedom Channel than Feiyang Republic’s Unicorn, and its battle style is more diverse. Sometimes, these just mean victory.

”I honestly don’t know where you got these technologies.” Fang Xiang shook her head with a bitter smile, turning to Fatty: ”I understand now why you agreed to my six-month promise with so much confidence back then. With these technologies, I wouldn’t want to leave either, even if I were to go...” Fang Xiang’s lovely eyes sparkled, and she wore a joking expression: ”...I’d want to take all the tech studios you attracted with you. Can’t let you have them all to yourself!”

”If you want to leave now, I can’t give you the people, but I have no hesitation about the technologies. I’ll give them all to you.” Fatty said innocently: ”But...you should first take a look at something before deciding?”

”Trying to kick me out?” Fang Xiang laughed: ”What good stuff do you have now?”

”I returned just for this.” Fatty opened the communicator: ”Old Shi, have you finished your work?”

With Fatty’s voice, one of the researchers next to the battleship waved his hand at the console. Everyone recognized him instantly; it was the Mechanical Master Shi Chengling, who had locked himself in the special isolation research room assigned to him since arriving at Belchi, tirelessly researching.

Everyone exchanged glances. Clearly, some mad technology had been completed!

The bandit army may be weak in other respects, but since Fatty took the scientific forces of Mars Free Port entirely under his wings, in terms of scientific strength, the bandit army is definitely not weaker than any sovereign nation.

This comparison, of course, isn’t comprehensive. In many fields, the accumulation of talents and theoretical applications in sovereign states — equipped with numerous universities and research institutions and a complete scientific system — is evidently much stronger. However, that doesn’t mean their overall strength is much stronger than Mars’ scientific circle!

If the scientific community of sovereign nations is akin to a prestigious sect, then Mars’ scientific community is a gathering of villains in the fringes!

These scientific monsters of the Free World are geniuses, also lunatics. Their thinking is freer, or perhaps crazier than scholars in sovereign states! From some perspective, such individuals are truly born scientists. They focus on their research, refusing to give up until they achieve their goals.

In sovereign nations, various laws and regulations restrain what one dares to imagine and do.

But in the Free World, these scientific eccentrics come here to escape the constraints; their sole purpose in the Free World is to research whatever they wish! To obtain the resources needed for their research, they continually develop new products. To achieve research breakthroughs, they freely exchange and collaborate.
