Counterfeit Hero

Although there has been a transformation in Leray, Fatty himself is still a Leray soldier, governed by the President of Leray, the Supreme Command Department, and the Fei Alliance Joint Command. Thus, this promotion order means Fatty has been promoted to Major General. At the same time, he is appointed as the commander of the newly established First Army of the Mars Front Army, under the command of the United Command and the Southeast Theater Command.

”Southeast Theater Command?” Fatty was taken aback, a sense of foreboding welled up in his heart: ”Who is the Commander?”

”The Commander of the Feiyang Southeast Expeditionary Army...” Cheng Zhixuan laughed and said: ”Your old superior, Admiral Fiscella.”

”Oh.” Fatty had an expression of sudden realization but felt disgusted inside.

”Since we’re all in the same trench, the affairs of Mars are of great importance to the command center, so...” Su Kezhou said, ”There are some matters we need to discuss among us allies first.”

”Before discussing serious matters, I want to solve a problem first...” Su Kezhou smiled and looked at Fatty: ”Regarding the conflict at Lille Port due to material distribution, I have already detained the involved individuals, and the material convoy has been released. This time, although it wasn’t purposefully arranged, I still hope General Tian can accept my apology.”

”You’re too courteous.” Fatty quickly waved his hand; he actually liked this elderly man. Su Kezhou possessed a unique trait of the Chuckna people. As a fellow member of the Chuckna Clan, Fatty felt a sense of kinship.

Modern nations formed during the era of great migration; the Chuckna people were named after the Chuckna Planet. Among Earth’s immigrants, Asians accounted for half, and whites, blacks, and browns accounted for the other half. Thousands of years of civilizational progress have blended these races together. For example, Su Kezhou before his eyes, judging from his appearance, he has at least a quarter of Caucasian blood.

In this era where all ethnicities are amalgamated, only Chuckna maintains its original immigrant land. It also preserves the purest Chuckna traditions.

Among the current 6 billion Chuckna population, 3.5 billion live within the Chuckna Republic, while another 2.5 billion reside in other countries. Over thousands of years, they’ve taken root and thrived. Due to the harsh early environment of the Chuckna Planet, few resource planets were discovered and developed during the initial stages of immigration; thus, the Chuckna people have always been renowned for their endurance and perseverance.

Fatty, who was born and raised in Leray, is most proud of his ancient Chinese heritage. Nevertheless, this does not affect his recognition of being part of the Chuckna Clan.

”Today’s first order of business is a directive from the Alliance Command Center, hoping that we can work together to keep Mars Planet under the control of the Fei Alliance. The recent formation of the Free Government is key to executing this plan; we hope the bandit army can actively participate in this regard.” Su Kezhou said: ”This is a minor matter, the Free Government is merely an agency we use to manage Mars Free Port. The important matter is the second one......”

Su Kezhou paused and said: ”I believe General Tian remembers the Mecha research program conducted by the Fei Alliance on Chuckna. The command center, upon learning about General Tian’s Mecha, is very interested and specially ordered to request General Tian to hand over one to the command center for research, to enhance the combat capability of the Fei Alliance, improve our soldiers’ survival rate, and resist the Western Alliance’s invasion.”

”This...” Fatty generously waved his hand: ”I’ll have someone hand over the Mecha to you right away.”

”Alright. My matters are only these two; structurally, my Longxing Association still belongs to the Chuckna.” Su Kezhou smiled slightly at Fatty and pointed to Cheng Zhixuan by his side, saying: ”Colonel Cheng has been dispatched from the Chuckna Military Department to the Southeast Command’s Combat Department as Chief of Staff, and the remaining matter needs him to speak to you.”

”Oh?” Fatty already smelled a conspiracy. Su Kezhou’s hint of apology on his face did not escape his eyes. Having studied psychology for so long, if he still couldn’t see that Su Kezhou was deliberately distancing himself, it would be too naïve.

”It’s like this......” Cheng Zhixuan smiled as he took over the conversation, pulling out an order and saying: ”In two days, the Southeast Command will send a combat guidance department over, with Major General Carolina Maoni from Feiyang taking over as the Commander of the Mars Front Army, accompanied by a combat department with forty combat staff and nearly a hundred various junior officers. The command center orders to select two armored groups and three infantry regiments from General Tian’s First Army to form a mixed division as a direct unit of the Mars Front Army Command.”

Cheng Zhixuan pulled out a list, his smile sincere: ”For the Mechas that are insufficient, the command center will find a way on its own, just need these people to be in place in time.”
