Counterfeit Hero

Fiscella, clenching his teeth, sat back in his chair, his face ashen with silence for a long moment, shaking his head, he said, ”According to that guy, even if Flavio gives the order, he can still evade it. Besides, these Leray people are all the same. Putting pressure on Flavio won’t do much good.”

”Then....” Cheng Zhixuan said anxiously, ”Are we just going to watch him mess around here?”

”Gather evidence, first figure out the connection between the bandit army and him.” Fiscella habitually rubbed his fingers, his eyelids drooping, he said coldly, ”If there is solid evidence, I can send him to a military court.”

He lifted his eyes, cast a faint glance at Cheng Zhixuan, and continued, ”Fortresses are easiest to breach from within. You should know better than I what sort of people make up the Sect Mutual Aid Alliance. Among these people, there will always be those with different intentions. Find them and win them over. Besides, since he claims that the Sect Mutual Aid Alliance does not belong to the Leray Federation, then how we contact the Sect Mutual Aid Alliance is our business. The titles of the Fei Alliance Southeastern United Army and the Mars Front Army are far more substantial than his as a exiled Major General of Leray! Just one letter of appointment can make many people understand who really has the say!”

Looking up at Cheng Zhixuan’s nearly delighted eyes, Fiscella’s mouth revealed a trace of a mocking smile: ”Military strategy emphasizes using force to suppress. These tactics work the same whether in battle or in political maneuvering. In this regard, he’s still quite inexperienced.”

Shrewd and calculating! This was Cheng Zhixuan’s assessment of Fiscella. Although far away in the Leray Galileo Star System, being able to accurately grasp the key points of the matter in just a few words, Fiscella truly deserved his Great Generals title. This move struck right at the band’s vulnerability. That Fatty’s claim that the bandit army is not under his control is just rhetoric. Compared to an exiled Leray person, who is more assertive and who holds dominance in the Fei Alliance, those sects are no fools!

As long as the sects of the Sect Mutual Aid Alliance recognize the situation, who they should side with, is there even a doubt? Cheng Zhixuan almost burst into laughter, that Fatty dug a hole for himself, and by then, he wouldn’t even manage a sneeze!

”Create division internally,” Fiscella said, ”Externally, we also need to apply a bit of pressure on them. Since the Sect Mutual Aid Alliance is dedicated to restoring the traditional framework of Mars, the combat tournament that was halted due to the war, you might as well take an enthusiastic role in organizing it. After all, the establishment of the new order on Mars is under our control. The rankings of this competition can serve as the basis for dividing the spoils. The sects that used to be ranked first and third, aren’t they with the Longxing Association? Use them as leverage. Even if the bandit army doesn’t participate, it can still gather some of the other sects.”

”By then, forming a new sect alliance with the contest-participating sects to lead Mars, having them declare allegiance to the Fei Alliance’s leadership. Any sects or organizations outside this alliance will be deemed illegal organizations. As soon as the Fei Alliance’s troops arrive, they will be annihilated immediately.” Fiscella sneered, ”I want to see, when those sects hear this news, will they stay in the Sect Mutual Aid Alliance or show up at the combat tournament to seize the immediate benefits!”

”Yes, General!” Cheng Zhixuan’s eyes gleamed with excitement, saluting to accept the order. His admiration for Fiscella had reached an unparalleled level.

The combat tournament, with the high-ranking Mechanical Warriors of the Absolute Kill Stream and Tai Sect still present, their strength was evident. For the Sect Mutual Aid Alliance to participate was to fall into their trap. Not to participate, who could surpass these two sects? The ensuing series of maneuvers were merely a threat. However, under the current situation, the Fei Alliance could threaten to annihilate all illegal sects, how would those sects or that Fatty dare to retaliate against the Fei Alliance?!

As long as there’s hesitation and fear, the end for the Sect Mutual Aid Alliance was imminent!

Cheng Zhixuan was about to end the call, but then heard Fiscella slowly say, ”Although Colonel Tian is only one person, I value his capabilities highly, and if necessary, there will be some arduous tasks for him to execute. You proceed boldly.”

Watching the communication screen fade away, it took Cheng Zhixuan a long moment to come to his senses.

Touching the back of his vest, it was already a sheet of cold sweat.
