Counterfeit Hero

The word ”sir” suddenly reminded Cheng Zhixuan that this Fatty has already been promoted to Major General, belonging to the same Southeast Command as himself, and is two ranks above him. In this moment, it is only natural for him to reprimand Cheng Zhixuan. His face turned blue and then white, filled with both shame and anger.

Should he sit down and look at the mocking gaze of the advisor behind Fatty? He really couldn’t afford to lose face like this. If he didn’t sit down, Fatty would have plenty of ways to deal with him. If he told Cheng Zhixuan to get out, he’d have to get out. If things didn’t work out, he might even be detained for disobeying orders, and that would be a real disgrace.

Seeing Fatty’s cold gaze and moving lips again, rage surged in Cheng Zhixuan’s heart, but he couldn’t help but sit down.

”What’s wrong with your pig brain?”

The freshly-promoted Fatty Major General reprimanded him like a father to a son, jabbing his plump finger at Cheng Zhixuan’s forehead, spraying him with spit: ”Fiscella is naive, and you’re brain-dead too? The two of you are putting on a show, pretending to be two idiots? ... Why don’t you ask the Western Alliance Sobel to give you a few divisions to command? The Sect Mutual Aid Alliance of Mars is under the control of our Fei Alliance Joint Army, isn’t it? The bandit army is their unit! ....”

”Spit!” Fatty spat on the ground in front of Cheng Zhixuan: ”To put it nicely, you’re like a Taoist monk in the bridal chamber with the monk yelling at someone else’s wife—where do you get the nerve; how they handle their wife is up to them, you can only watch from the side, swallow your own saliva, or masturbate if you can’t stand it. To put it bluntly, you’re like a dog catching a mouse and sticking your nose where it doesn’t belong! Do you think you’re God, that everyone is under your command, and whenever you want anyone they’ll just come to you? Even in a brothel, you have to see if you measure up before thinking you can get someone with just a wink. You overestimate yourself! You may not have lived for decades, but don’t you at least weigh dozens of pounds? Wasting this body, it’s like you’ve lived as long as a dog!.....”

”Right now, among the Leray people managed by the Southeast Command, I’m the only one. I’m damn waiting for reinforcement! We’ve cooperated with the Sect Mutual Aid Alliance for so long, and I haven’t expected to grab food from their bowl, but you are acting like vicious dogs pouncing on food...” Seeing Cheng Zhixuan’s rapid breathing and the bulging veins on his forehead, Fatty impatiently waved his hand, swallowing the words Cheng Zhixuan was about to utter: ”No discipline! When you get to our Southeast Command, you better get smarter. When did you get to question whether I disobey military orders—do I owe you face or something? Get lost quickly; today I’m in a good mood, so I won’t confine you! If you fucking hum just one more word in front of me, you’ll see how I deal with you!”

The office fell into a deathly silence, everyone dumbfounded by Fatty’s sudden outburst.

Cheng Zhixuan was staring at Fatty with his eyes burning red. Su Kezhou’s mind went blank. He had seen all sorts of people, but had never seen someone like this who flipped out so unreasonably, disregarding dignity and face, not caring about anything.

Playing that game in front of such a person, what’s it if not self-humiliation?

Seeing Cheng Zhixuan’s expression of shock and rage, eyes nearly popping out, the advisor behind Fatty felt as satisfied as eating ice cream in June.

Serves you right!

Trying to snatch things from our superior, are you blind?

Our superior was just thinking of scheming against you, and here you are trying to scheme against us. Even bandit army coming into the warehouse with brooms can be a disadvantage to you, huh?

Haven’t you heard the saying going around in Free Port now—after the bandit army passes, not even grass grows?

”Why are you staring at me, showing off your big eyes?” Fatty, holding the tea cup in his palm, raised an eyebrow at Cheng Zhixuan: ”Salute! Do I need to teach you even this basic courtesy? Dilly-dallying, waiting for me to invite you for a meal or something?”

After a long while, Cheng Zhixuan finally saluted, turned, and walked toward the door.

He wanted nothing more than to pounce on Fatty and tear that poisonous mouth off his face!

Although, in that instant, countless crazy thoughts flashed through his mind.

But he controlled himself. He knew that one rank higher can crush you, and if he dared to make any move, Fatty wouldn’t give him any chance!

Even if he wanted to argue back, it was useless; let alone that Fatty had already entered the ranks of Fei Alliance generals—there’s respect and difference in ranks. Even if he went all out, he couldn’t out-argue him. To rush forward and fight, even more impossible, this is a bandit army base, if he dared move, Fatty dared to shoot him dead, then pin a charge of assaulting the officer against him.

He could do it; someone who flips out without warning—what wouldn’t he do?!

Leave here!

The humiliation suffered today would be repaid tenfold in the future!

Cheng Zhixuan with stiff movements walked out of the door, behind him, a lazy voice drifted in.... Fatty curiously asked Su Kezhou: ”I didn’t hear clearly just now, who’s this idiot?”

.........Since he’s already offended, might as well go harder. That’s Fatty’s principle to begin with. One flogging is flogging; two is the same, throw in wax ropes, kill if need be!

With a bitter smile, Su Kezhou stood up, opened his mouth, but in the end said nothing. This time Cheng Zhixuan....indeed brought it upon himself. It was the superior reprimanding a subordinate, an internal matter of the Southeast Command. Even if Cheng Zhixuan was the chief of staff of the Longxing Association a few days ago, he was now a Southeast Command person. The relationship with Chuckna Longxing Association at most was of an ally, what could be said?

”Leaving?” Fatty on the other hand seemed very enthusiastic, his face bearing no sign of awkwardness: ”Old Su, see, what a mess we’ve caused, you must think it’s amusing, I’m just hating iron for not becoming steel... that Mecha you wanted, I’ll have it sent over shortly. By the way, I heard Admiral Bernadotte left a message for me?”

”It’s not a message.... specifically, you should look at it yourself.” Su Kezhou handed over a secured electronic document to Fatty, and took his leave.

”Admiral!” The advisor said puzzledly: ”Are we really going to give them the Mecha? That’s......”

”Short-sighted! We cannot win this war by ourselves!” Fatty sternly criticized: ”We are all in the same boat, anything that can enhance the Alliance’s fighting power, we should not be stingy!”

”Oh!” The advisor looked at Fatty with admiration, nodding vigorously!

”Later on, have the logistics department make the shell of [Ranger] look better with my photo on it. Aim for the effect of subduing the enemy without fighting!” Fatty casually patted the advisor’s shoulder and walked towards the door: ”As for the things inside, disassemble whatever you can. Change it to the structure of a Private Mecha.”

”Hmm!” The advisor nodded heavily, looking at Fatty with increasing admiration.

”Wait until they come to us Leray people!”
