Counterfeit Hero

Before he could run two steps, Fatty had already caught up and kicked him to the ground. Under the gaze of over a hundred core disciples, outer disciples, and staff, Fatty opened his coat and pulled out a fighting dagger.

”The sooner you die, the sooner you reincarnate!”

These were the last words Gandi heard.

In the silent central hall, Fatty grabbed Gandi’s hair and easily thrust the sharp fighting dagger up through his throat and into his brain, as if piercing through a piece of paper.

Ruthless, another kill.

”What did you say?!”

In the luxurious black Casino flying car, Yap, the Second Elder, was startled by Kubo’s sudden outburst.

Turning to look, Kubo, who was lazily holding a wine glass, now sat up straight on the other end of the elongated sofa in the car.

His face had turned ashen. He pressed his mobile phone tightly against his ear, and his other hand holding the wine glass was trembling uncontrollably.

”Smash!”

The wine glass in Kubo’s enraged hand was smashed forcefully against the car’s mini-fridge. The shattered fragments flew around, causing Yap to instinctively turn his head away and duck.

What news could have made the normally composed Kubo so furious?

”I’ll kill him! I’ll kill him!” In Kubo’s hysterical roar, the mobile phone in his hand followed the fate of the wine glass and also shattered into pieces.

Monroe’s hands were crippled, Nakagawa Yui was severely injured and paralyzed, and three other core disciples of Kubo’s faction suffered one death and two injuries. Moreover, the Deputy Director of the Puluo Branch, Gandi, was slaughtered by that Fatty in front of over a hundred members of the Mechanical Division, as if cutting the throat of a chicken.

Even more infuriating, Monroe and the others were thrown at the entrance of the Puluo Branch, becoming the laughingstock of all the Mechanical Sects!

Kubo deeply regretted his decision.

Bringing that Fatty into the fold, tossing him to the Puluo Branch, hoping to use him as cannon fodder against other sects—this was undoubtedly the stupidest thing Kubo had ever done!

It’s laughable that Kubo’s side was still planning to slowly deal with Fatty, hoping for an opportunity to quietly eradicate Phantom Stream and Fatty from the world...

Only now did Kubo realize the magnitude of his error. While he was calculating all this, the Fatty had never given him the chance to set up any careful plans! On the very first day in Puluo Town, Fatty dealt Kubo a lethal blow!

This seemingly foolish and stubborn Fatty was far from an ignorant brute. He was a venomous snake, a rattlesnake that had coiled around Kubo’s neck and forced him to hold it close!

He had never been appeased or bought off by Kubo. Instead, Kubo had been led by the nose the entire time.

From the start in the Phantom Stream hall, Kubo had lost control of the situation. Thinking back, from the moment Fatty entered, to the mocking, provoking, fighting, blackmailing, and finally, Kubo signing the agreement, promising him the positions of elder and branch director, everything was driven by Fatty.

The more Kubo thought about it, the more chilled he felt. He never dreamed that all his calculations would lead him to this dead end!

Not only had Fatty crippled Monroe, Kubo’s most capable subordinate in the Tai Sect, but had also thrown Monroe at the doorstep, pushing Kubo into the spotlight. The most infuriating part was that this person was appointed using the special director’s privilege by Kubo himself! It was as if using Kubo’s own hand to slap his face.

The thought of this made Kubo grind his teeth in hatred. He knew that no matter what, he would face other elders seizing the opportunity to usurp him. And he also knew that he could not rest easy without killing this Fatty!
