Demon’s Eye attacked Phantom Stream!

This news spread across the entire Free World in an instant. Everyone was stunned.

Upon hearing this unbelievable news, the first thought that flashed through everyone’s mind was, ”The Free World is in chaos!”

Other countries might not understand, but for the people of the Free World, this news is simply a complete overthrow of long-held traditional views and powers!

One has to know, in the Free World, no matter how large the commercial group or how ruthless the pirate mercenary army, no one has ever dared to publicly attack a traditional Mecha faction like this!

The power of the Mecha factions isn’t great; it seems they only own a few Mecha Fighting Halls, possess some industries, and run businesses related to Mecha.

However, in the eyes of everyone in the Free World, they are the symbol of the Free World. They are the oldest organization in the Free World and the backbone of the entire Free World’s Mecha arrangement and faction coalition. Under their command are tens of thousands of disciples and members.

Among these disciples and members, how many are corporate presidents, gang leaders, pirate group chiefs, nobody knows.

The Mecha factions have long since rooted themselves in the Free World. Beneath their seemingly insubstantial branches are intertwined and vast, terrifying roots.

They are independent and aloof, never interfering in the Free World’s conflicts. Conflicts occur only between factions!

Yet now, Phantom Stream, once ranked among the Eight Great Schools, has been attacked by a second-rate pirate group! Although it was already known that Phantom Stream had been gradually declining due to the lack of core techniques, this news still left everyone speechless.

Considering the Tai Sect behind Demon’s Eye, everyone understood that this was not just an ordinary assault. In a certain sense, this marks the beginning and symbol of changes in the Free World’s arrangement.

”This was an accident!”

No. 1260, Aquarius Plaza on 9th Street, Mars Central City, is a grey-white building. Perhaps the term ’miniature Space City’ would be more accurate for it. The building is 260 floors high and fully equipped. It has the ecological balance and circulation systems of a Space City.

Moreover, it boasts a super environment system that Space Cities don’t have. Entering the building feels like stepping into a forest, where the fresh air and abundance of negative ions make everyone inside feel pleasant and invigorated.

Inside the building, there is the best and most expensive hotel in Free Port, along with the most luxurious malls and nightclubs. Most importantly, all significant powers in the Free World have set up liaison offices here.

At this moment, in the conference room of Golden Oak Hotel at the top floor of the building, Steelman is spreading his hands innocently, addressing dozens of sect masters, elders, and representatives of various major powers: ”We tried our utmost to avoid this tragedy. We only received news that a commerce group set off from the Leray Federation, destined for Mars Free Port, carrying valuable luxury goods. Our target was never Phantom Stream’s Old Smith and Young Smith. If we truly wanted to take action against Phantom Stream, I think...”

Steelman turned his head, looking at Phantom Stream’s Sect Master Old Smith and Cosmo sitting beside him, with a slight smile: ”I believe that passenger ship wouldn’t have escaped our annihilation. And Old Smith and Young Smith couldn’t possibly be sitting here unharmed right now.”

After exchanging a meaningful look with Tai Sect Master Kubo sitting next to him, Steelman leisurely said, ”So, how was your trip to Leray Federation, Mr. Smiths? Any harvest to share with everyone?”

The conference room fell silent, with the older ones drooping their eyelids in silence and the younger ones exchanging looks of surprise or schadenfreude.

Seeing Steelman changing the subject so nonchalantly, Cosmo slammed the table in rage and stood up abruptly: ”Steelman! The ships of the commerce group and convoy have Phantom Stream’s shadow insignia. You wouldn’t be unaware! Today, unless you give an explanation, I...”

”What do you intend to do?” Steelman lifted his eyelids slightly with a mocking smile, his gaze sharp as a knife aimed at Cosmo.

Ultimately young and angry, Cosmo was about to confront Steelman fiercely but was held back by Old Smith.

”Sit down!” The silver-haired Old Smith rebuked Cosmo, then turned to Steelman and said, ”Since this matter has been laid out on the table today, Captain Steelman, I fear you must provide an explanation to us.”

Old Smith looked around and continued calmly, ”Mars Free Port has never had a pirate taking action against a faction. Are factions now, haha, open for bullying?”

Cosmo sat down angrily. He knew that in Phantom Stream’s current situation, they couldn’t possibly launch a solo retaliation against Demon’s Eye Pirate Group. Phantom Stream had already declined severely, and this mugging had further weakened them.

Seeing his father’s greying hair, a flood of remorse and frustration stabbed Cosmo’s heart like a knife. If he had not insisted on opening a branch in the Leray Federation and led the family’s elite there, their loss wouldn’t have been so catastrophic this time.

The family’s elders and disciples were safe, but the wealth accumulated over the years had been completely plundered in this raid.
