Counterfeit Hero

The old fox Gandi beside him, whose expression on his face was even nastier than his own, must also be brooding some mischief. As the deputy director of the Tai Sect Puluo Town branch hall, he could come to the Central City to pick him up, and the trainees and coaches wouldn’t know he was coming today?

Hehe, playing mind games, aren’t you? Master Fatty here will play you to death!

”Training, huh? Then I’d like to see it!” Fatty, with his hands behind his back, walked into the Mecha hall whose door Gandi had hurriedly opened first.

Seeing Fatty’s swaggering demeanor, a hint of mockery flashed in Gandi’s eyes.

As the saying goes, you can’t judge a book by its cover. But this saying depends on the occasion and the person. This fatty in front of me, with his unsteady steps and pale, clean look, probably has nothing but flab under his clothes. Thinking about him any deeper, he couldn’t possibly be anyone significant.

Without power, he must have only status.

But from the fact that Kubo didn’t personally escort him, and didn’t even assign a trusted companion. And from the fact that Kubo’s direct disciple Monroe, upon knowing this fatty was coming, still remained indifferent in the training ground, treating this fatty as nothing, Gandi could tell that this fatty was just an idiot suddenly placed in this position for some unknown reason.

There had been similar people before, some rich young masters from commerce groups getting by in the Tai Sect for a while. Among them, some are still living comfortably, while others, hehe, have long disappeared. It all depends on the cooperation between Tai Sect and them. No matter what, these people are just like clay statues, worshipped on the surface.

This fatty really takes himself as the director. Training ground… Gandi’s triangular eyes flickered; that’s Monroe’s domain. Even as a deputy director who has been in the Puluo Town branch for nearly ten years, he keeps his distance from Monroe. Among the third-generation disciples of the Tai Sect, Monroe is a tyrant! If provoked, even the branch director would get beaten up by him.

Gandi diligently led the way in front of Fatty.

He was born and raised in Puluo Town, and is a well-known figure in the Puluo Town branch who never falls.

He had been messing around on the streets since childhood. From mixing in the slums to the wealthy areas, relying on his knack for getting by with both sides.

His role as deputy director was much more significant than the director’s. This situation also had a lot to do with the Tai Sect’s situation in Puluo Town.

Although Tai Sect had been expanding, imposing its might everywhere it went, a small conflict could annihilate an entire family. Rampant and unchecked. However, in this Puluo Town, Tai Sect had never managed to open up the scene. Or rather, they couldn’t open up a broader scene. They did manage to take down a few small factions through various means, but they couldn’t get a hold of the other major factions.

This was no surprise as, after all, Tai Sect’s dominance had only been a recent thing in the past few years. And those factions had deep and extensive roots in Puluo Town, with commerce groups and major forces connected to them having already established a distribution of interests.

If one were to say, Tai Sect, this group of rogue lions, dared to challenge a pride in other places, in Puluo Town, a place of constant strife, facing the united pride, they could only wander around the edges drooling.

Moreover, there were also internal conflicts within the Tai Sect.

In its early days, Tai Sect was just a third-rate sect. They also bullied the weak, but that was within the rules, not as reckless as now. The true formation of the current situation of the Tai Sect happened after Kubo took charge. A large influx of desperados formed a circle that even their own people dared not easily provoke.

After cleaning up the dissent within the Tai Sect under Kubo’s leadership, Tai Sect began its bloody expansion.

In fact, within Tai Sect, there were still a group of elders extremely opposed to this method. Third Elder Sankey, Fourth Elder Geoffrey, and the Seventh Elder, the first War God of the Tai Sect Weii Jianshan, were all at odds with Kubo. They just couldn’t stand Kubo’s indiscriminate and ruthless style, but also did not block the financial paths of the brothers of Tai Sect.

Apart from this group of elders, there was also internal strife within Kubo’s camp. The First Elder and the Second Elder couldn’t stand each other, and their disciples openly and secretly competed. Kubo’s direct disciple, led by Monroe, were even more domineering, disregarding the disciples of other elders.

The various branch halls often had conflicts due to interests. Under Kubo’s strict suppression, these conflicts were usually resolved through Mecha fighting. But everyone knew, if someday Tai Sect really faced a problem, it would immediately fall apart.

As for the Puluo Town branch hall, although located in a rich land, its expansion was hindered by external enemies, and internally it was controlled by Monroe. Becoming the director here was not an easy job.

Before Fatty arrived, several directors left in disgrace.

Some stayed for just a few months, some were too aggressive and got into unnecessary trouble and were transferred by Kubo. Two of them even died violently on the streets.

So, aside from Monroe, the real master was the old fox Gandi.

He was incompetent in Mecha fighting, in expansion, and even more so in leading charges. But this person was a born old fox. Almost all the internal affairs of the hall were in his control. His principle of not actively causing trouble kept him away from danger. Relying on the name of Tai Sect, he could still make a name for himself in Puluo Town.
