Counterfeit Hero

”Good!” Fatty puffed out his chest, walked forward with righteousness and resoluteness, and stared directly into Monroe’s eyes, his expression steadfast: ”I promise you!”

Monroe and his accomplice beside him were simultaneously taken aback, then their eyes lit up. A sliver of incredible joy burst forth from their gaze. To Monroe, hand-to-hand combat might make him fear this Fatty, but in Mecha Fighting, he was confident he could crush Fatty into minced meat!

Not to mention, Kubo had mentioned over the phone that this Fatty was not skilled at handling Mechas. Even if he was skilled, could he possibly be a War God? He was asking for death!

In the distance, Baz and Weiseler exchanged puzzled glances. Fatty, who had already seized Monroe’s lifeline and gained the upper hand, why did he so easily agree to Monroe’s absolutely hopeless demand for a show?

Could it be he’s a Mecha Master? Absolutely certain of his capability?

As everyone harbored their own thoughts, some puzzled, some gleeful, some itching to move, Fatty suddenly grabbed both of Monroe’s arms!

Monroe’s mocking expression froze on his face.

In the clutches of Fatty’s hands, which slapped and twisted, sounds of bones breaking burst forth like firecrackers from Monroe’s fingers to his shoulders. When Monroe’s screams echoed, his stout arms had utterly deformed, hanging limply like dead snakes at his sides.

It was a treacherous attack to the utmost degree! This Fatty, just seconds earlier, had agreed to Monroe’s Mecha Fighting challenge!

In the silence, the bewildered trainees could only hear Fatty chuckling at the suffering Monroe: ”You have to eat food bite by bite, do things one at a time. If we’re going to compete in Mecha Fighting, we have to first finish things here. Now, we can go compete in Mecha Fighting.”

”Monroe is finished!”

The present people finally realized that this seemingly honest and simple Fatty had come for Monroe’s life!

Here, he was the rule.

Wearing wide black-framed glasses, with her wavy long hair cut short, adding some freckles on her face, and dressing in oversized casual clothes. Even though she deliberately put on makeup, when Helen walked into Puluo Town’s Mechanical Armor Hall, she still attracted numerous stunned and admiring glances.

”Excuse me, are you recruiting trainees here?” Helen asked, her voice still carrying a slight hint of sweetness. Just the sound of her voice was enough to raise her allure up a notch.

All the lustful men shared a common thought: ”That voice is so sweet. If she were moaning in bed...”

”Sure!” Gandi’s eyes lit up, rose quickly, and walked up to Helen, his lustful triangular eyes scanning her up and down: ”Which class would you like to enroll in, Miss?”

Under Gandi’s avid gaze, Helen felt a bit flustered. It was her first time doing something like this. If it weren’t for Chekov discovering that the Demon’s Eye’s Reconnaissance Ships repeatedly appeared in the DE-176 Star System where the base is located, she wouldn’t have agreed to this mission involving Fatty!

On the way to Puluo Town, Helen had cursed Fatty inwardly, a tirade so fierce that even she felt embarrassed by the words—those terms were really not ones a well-bred lady should know.

But Fatty deserved those curses!

Upon arriving at Free Port, this fellow stirred up so much without consulting anyone.

The situation changed so rapidly that everyone was left at a loss!

How to deal with the Demon’s Eye, how to procure material weapons, what were the lists of enterprises and experts for, what agreement was reached with Phantom Stream, what was the plan with the Tai Sect—all these crucial questions were in Fatty’s fat head.

At the moment, in the hall were common staff and Outer Disciples of the Mechanical Armor Hall. Seeing old Gandi eagerly going up to greet her, everyone mentally spat—girls ruined by this tricky old scoundrel could hardly be counted!

”Any class is fine for me.” Helen looked around, hoping Fatty would appear soon. The lewd gaze of the old pervert in front of her made her feel extremely uneasy.

”Oh, I forgot to introduce myself.” The old pervert puffed out his chicken-like chest, proudly extended his hand: ”I’m Gandi, the Director here.”

”Director?” Helen’s heart sank. If this old man is the Director, then what is Fatty, is he here? At this point, she suddenly realized she was too reckless. Looking at the surrounding trainees with sturdy bodies and fierce faces, glancing at Gandi’s triangular eyes, she began to feel scared.

”Well... hello...” Helen stammered, ”I’ll enroll in any class. Or maybe I’ll come back next time...”

”Next time?” Seeing Helen about to leave, Gandi panicked, grabbed her hand, and his expression changed: ”What, are you messing with me?”

In the luxurious Director’s office of Tai Sect’s main hall, smoke was swirling.

”Couldn’t find him?!” Kubo looked at the Second Elder Yap sitting opposite him, frowning.

”It’s not that we can’t find him, it’s just...” The short and stout Yap said reluctantly: ”Free Port is inherently mixed with all sorts. People here each have their path. The immigration regulations are practically non-existent. Now it’s a critical period, with refugees from various countries flooding in. Everything is a mess.”

Taking the cigar Kubo handed over, Yap continued: ”At this time, it’s really difficult to find an ordinary person with a Chuckna Hanjing accent. Also, many people come from Chuckna; once they arrive at the Space Port, they disperse immediately. If we want to investigate, relying solely on our mates won’t be enough. I can give orders to the guys below, but God knows when we’ll get results.”
