Counterfeit Hero

Whether it was voluntary or forced, whether they truly merged with this group, or had other thoughts, watching a new warship the size of a cruiser about to be born in their hands gave all members involved in the construction an indescribable sense of accomplishment.

And each simulation battle performed based on the warship’s actual data further multiplied this sense of achievement.

The most excited ones were the pirates.

Like Barbarossa, these pirates couldn’t help but brighten their eyes whenever they saw the warship under construction.

With pirate careers spanning from a few years to decades, they had long etched plundering into their very nature. From their perspective, they clearly understood the significance of this ship! A cruiser is almost invincible in the realm of pirates!

The Redbeard Pirate Group spent a hefty sum buying a Wild-class cruiser from the Free Port Trading Group to gain that level of combat power. Although it was just a shell, it had already made many other pirate groups wary of the Redbeard Pirates.

And the warship before them not only possessed the defenses of a cruiser but also the agility of a raider and the speed of a destroyer! More importantly, it was a warship specifically designed for pirate plundering!

Life seemed to become more anticipated and thrilling!

Finally, on January 6, 2063, when Fatty used the Repair Mecha to install the last movable armor plate of the Magic Cube, the entire pirate base erupted in excitement!

The olive-shaped new warship quietly floated in the center of the dock. If not for the asymmetrical tower installations at its four corners, the warship, viewed from the side, indeed resembled the Feiyang Republic’s famous Frenzied Shark-class high-speed cruiser.

The ship’s rear housed the bridge, which was integrated seamlessly with the atmosphere tail fins and wrapped in thick armor in space. Ahead of the bridge, sixteen circular armor plates concealed sixteen missile launchers, capable of simultaneously launching thirty-two missiles within twenty seconds. In close-quarters combat, such large-scale missile attacks are a hallmark tactic of cruisers.

A destroyer’s main cannon was located at the very center of the bow, flanked by two auxiliary cannons. Below the cannon mouths was a row of four torpedo launch tubes. This wasn’t the final form, as adequate space was reserved for future upgrades to larger caliber cannons.

The shark-like wing lines made the entire ship slightly tilt forward, giving it an aggressive appearance. Twelve main propellers at the rear weren’t all—four concealed propellers on the top and the hull’s sides would further enhance the ship’s speed.

With the propulsion system at full throttle, the ship’s sprint speed is 1.5 times that of the Blue Rose! Such speed usually isn’t associated with cruisers, given the enormous energy consumption and its significant impact on the energy shield and other systems.

However, this is a pirate ship! Speed is the lifeblood of pirates.

Due to sacrificing part of the space combined with Fatty’s cost-is-no-object design, the main structure of the ship is exceedingly sturdy. From the start, Fatty adopted the concept of ramming. He even added a ramming beak at the bow! This sharp triangle ram made from ultra-hard chromium-titanium alloy sculpted by pirates resembled a blade, giving them a renewed sense of Fatty’s madness and the bravery of Leray people.

Just kidding, this isn’t a medieval wooden ship from Ancient Earth; this is a space battleship with speeds calculated in kilometers per second! These Leray people have rammed before and seemed not to have had enough...

The biggest dissatisfaction might come from the warship’s hull and armor. The entire ship seemed like a sunken wreck just hauled from the seawater. The uneven, filthy, rusted exterior was matched by equally dirty and damaged exterior armor.

Such a vessel hardly radiates any threat. Only those who truly participated in the construction knew the terrifying nature that this unprecedented warship would reveal when it bares its fangs.

It’s time to set sail!

Fatty looked at the ramshackle warship, full of ambition.
