Counterfeit Hero

”Of course! In the end, we didn’t even need to use our turrets. Surround their ship and ram it! Damn, just thinking about it gets me excited. A fleet equipped with ramming beaks, we’re probably the only ones in the entire universe with that, right?”

”Ram what? If everything gets smashed, what will the manufacturing department use?”

”Fine, we’ll do it your way. Damn, who asked you to be the boss now? Remember that Kalis Guide we snatched a while back? It’s been sitting in the warehouse for almost a year, and you guys haven’t even used it. If it wasn’t for that thing in this exercise, we could’ve never made it out of that encirclement.”

”I admit, I didn’t recognize its value. To speak the truth, how many people, including those pompous top-tier mechanics at Free Port, can compare to Master Fatty? These pieces of junk, in the hands of others, they’re treasures. Once installed on our warship, check the readings, damn, is this the old ship we were about to scrap?”

”Yeah, the last exercise scared the hell out of me too. The first team of those bastards, using an armed merchant ship to perform snake maneuvers and spiral descents, damn it, my eyes almost popped out.”

”Anyway, all I’m waiting for every day now is some action. Just thinking about raiding with this kind of ship gets me so excited I could wet myself. After all this training, it’s time for us to show our faces. Fire preparation under three minutes, power preparation under four minutes, firepower sustainability and evasion score eighty, damn, which pirate has our level of readiness?”

Thinking about the increasingly heated atmosphere in the base, Audrey felt a kind of indescribable joy. The dull and lonely universe becomes lively and interesting as long as that Fatty is around. He always has some sort of magic power to motivate everyone, as if with him, there’s no hurdle that can’t be overcome.

Being with him, the future always seems so full of anticipation.

She took off her work clothes, and glimpsing at the mirror beside the wardrobe, Audrey retracted her hand that was reaching for her clothes.

In the mirror was a perfect body. Below the delicate collarbone, a lacy bra wrapped around firm breasts, her willow-thin waistline, and pink embroidered panties half-shielding her exaggeratedly raised hips. Between her long, straight legs, there wasn’t the slightest gap.

Lightly biting her lip, her watery eyes gazing at her body, Audrey slowly pulled off her hair tie. Her wavy long hair gently cascaded down, resting on her shoulders and lower back— In the mirror, she was a woman blooming into womanhood.

This beautiful body had never been touched—except by that damned Fatty.

Thinking of how she had been pinned down and thoroughly groped by Fatty in the smuggling ship’s engine room, Audrey felt a rush of panic. A pink blush silently crept up her cheeks, staining her ears, and spread all the way to her fair bosom.

After commanding the smuggling ship through the lonely expanse of space, wrapping herself in a strict exterior and the uniform of a ship captain, at this moment, stripped of her outer shell, Audrey suddenly felt a numbing sensation through her body, a feeling of her heartbeat rising, making her instinctively close her legs.

No matter how strong she was, she was still a woman. A living, breathing woman in the prime of her youth.

”Damn Fatty!” Audrey, flustered by her inexplicable emotions, fumbled with her clothes, clenching her teeth in frustration. Women are always unreasonable; only by pushing all the blame onto Fatty could Audrey forgive her own embarrassing thoughts just now.

Maybe out of anger, this shout of ”damn Fatty” echoed extraordinarily loudly in the silent room. Audrey herself was startled, and sticking out her tongue, she was about to continue choosing her clothes when she suddenly heard someone calling outside.

”Audrey, are you in there?”

Audrey, in just her underwear, hurriedly turned around, only to see Fatty pushing the door open and walking in.

The two stared at each other wide-eyed.

”Ah!” Just as Audrey was about to scream, Fatty let out a sharp yell first, stuffing one hand into his mouth and tremblingly pointing at Audrey with the other: ”What are you trying to do?”

Audrey was almost in tears. Damn Fatty, what the hell. It’s supposed to be her screaming.

”You, get out…” Audrey, unable to contain her embarrassment, stomped her foot.

”I’m doomed…” Fatty covered his eyes and also stomped his foot: ”This is so embarrassing.”

”Bastard!” Audrey saw the wide gaps between Fatty’s fingers, shut the wardrobe door to cover her body, and shouted, ”Damn Fatty, I’m going to kill you!”

”Hey, get it straight.” Fatty’s face was both shocked and aggrieved, an expression overly dramatic: ”... I’m not the exhibitionist here.”

Audrey was about to lose it: ”Who’s an exhibitionist? ... I’m changing clothes!”

”Fine, fine.” Fatty waved his hand generously: ”I won’t make a big deal out of it, and I won’t tell anyone. But you should change this habit. Anyway, I came to inform you to get ready and take your ship to Mars Free Port.”

After saying this, the jerk shook his head, sighed dramatically, and muttered, ”This damn world…”

He turned and left.

By the time Audrey, blushing, got dressed and went to the warehouse, Fatty was nowhere to be seen.

Audrey, both ashamed and furious, stood dazed for a moment, then suddenly turned and walked into her office. Inputting a code, she accessed the security camera footage from the newly installed hidden cameras on her computer control station.

On the footage, she had entered the bedroom, and within two minutes, a sneaky figure appeared in the office. Who else could it be but that damn Fatty?

Seeing her state while she was changing, Audrey let out a helpless moan.

On the virtual screen, Fatty could be seen sneaking up to the door crack, peeking in with great interest, his mouth forming silent exclamations or an expression of being dumbstruck.

”Damn Fatty!” the footage echoed with her own voice.

Fatty jolted, kicked off with both feet, and like a sliding fat cat, slipped out of the office, tumbling and crawling towards the warehouse exit...

Maybe not hearing any further sound, Fatty gradually slowed down, ears perked up in alert. By the time he re-entered the office on the security footage, his face had turned deceptively innocent and honest. As he pushed the door open, he called out in a loud voice, ”Audrey, are you in there?”

No need to watch further. Hastily copying the footage to an electronic file, Audrey sat down, biting her lip and clutching her burning face, both ashamed and angry: ”Damn Fatty, bastard, see how I’ll deal with you!”

”Audrey’s figure…” Fatty stood tall and solemnly saluted a few Leray Warriors, thinking, ”Is just as good as Helen’s.”

. Everything that needed addressing has almost been covered, next we move into the conflict in the Free World. It’s not that I’m dragging out the word count; in reality, because I write slowly, some explained parts may seem longer, but totaling the words, it’s no more than one or two chapters’ worth. This kind of buildup is necessary.
