Counterfeit Hero

Chapter 488: 5 Volumes 80 Chapters Ran into the Muzzle

Thinking about the little kid, Fatty was reminded of the day he beat up that little kid, when Bonnie cradled the beaten kid in her arms, giving him a side-eye.

Ancestors... Bonnie’s towering breasts were trembling as Pipi, this little rascal who played the victim, burrowed into them... Despite the clothes, you could still feel that perky pair. Just looking at those round, soft contours and the undulating waves of those breasts made one’s heart race and nosebleed...

”General Tian!” General Fiscella looked at the lasciviously dazed Fatty in front of him with anger, raising his voice once more. He had called three times already.

”Here!” Fatty finally came to his senses and responded loudly. Seeing Fiscella’s unfriendly expression, he hastily wiped the drool from the corner of his mouth with his sleeve, accompanied by a shy and awkward smile.

”I’ve called you here...” Fiscella was too lazy to beat around the bush and straightforwardly said: ”It’s about you changing the battle plan in this operation. Do you have any explanation?”

”What explanation?” Fatty had a simple, naive look on his face, totally bewildered.

”I heard you assassinated Stephen.” Fiscella asked coldly.

”Well...” Fatty scratched the back of his head, humbly saying: ”Honestly, it wasn’t a big deal. That brat poked his head out, and I just shot him. The blood...”

”Did you consider...” Fiscella interrupted the spit-flying Fatty, staring at him with stern eyes, coldly saying: ”What if you failed the assassination?”

”Failed...” Fatty was taken aback. This Fiscella was obviously looking for trouble. Using hypotheticals to question is a common way to pick a fight.

Fatty actually wanted to say, ”When you were done with your wife, let me ask you: ’Before you did it, did you ever consider, what if you couldn’t get it up? That would be embarrassing!’ How would you answer that, huh? How would you answer? How would you answer!”

... Of course, such words could only be suppressed inside.

Although he didn’t understand why Fiscella was picking a fight, still, Fatty wasn’t one to swallow his losses. He immediately put on a righteous and resolute face, declaring: ”For the Expeditionary Army! For the Fei Alliance! And for the suffering people! I will never allow failure!”

Fiscella was left speechless, clearly not expecting this answer. He frowned, feeling a headache as he said: ”I meant what if!”

”In the dictionary of the Fei Alliance Army under General Fiscella’s leadership...” Fatty continued his righteous nonsense: ”There’s no ’what if’!”

”I mean if it fails...”

”There’s not even an ’if’!” Fatty appeared to be utterly brainless but insistently righteous!

”What I’m saying is...” Fiscella, unable to explain from any angle, was furious beyond measure, glaring at Fatty, momentarily at a loss for words.

Fatty looked at Fiscella with a determined gaze, his heart sneering: ”There’s a chance, a possibility... Say it! Whatever you say, I’ll throw it back at you! Everybody knows why this battle turned out this way, don’t bully me for being pacifist!”

The office was silent. Both stared at each other. One fierce and aggressive, the other innocent and pure.

Fiscella decided to change strategy! This time, he’d make his stance clear from the start! He slammed the desk, yelled angrily: ”But... you let Prisk escape!”

”Yeah!” Fatty genuinely nodded, showing a approving smile, indicating Fiscella got it right.

”You exposed the Expeditionary Army’s main force to the enemy’s bayonet!” Fiscella’s voice was stern and loud, slamming the desk once more with a loud bang: ”This is criminal! It’s dereliction of duty!”

”Impossible!” Fatty resolutely said.

Fiscella was stunned: ”How’s it impossible?”

”The enemies are all Armored Divisions, where would they have bayonets.” Fatty chuckled at Fiscella with a knowing look: ”You’re joking!”

Fiscella nearly collapsed right there. He shouted furiously: ”Major General Tian Xingjian, I’m speaking to you now as the commander of the Expeditionary Army Headquarters and the Chief of Staff of the Expeditionary Army. Knock off your jokester antics! If you do not provide a reasonable explanation for your actions, I will personally send you to the Allied Military Court!”

”But it didn’t happen.” Fatty put on an aggrieved face, tears glistening in his eyes.

Fiscella went into a frenzy, angrily saying, ”It didn’t happen! You altered the battle plan without authorization, disobeyed military orders, that did happen, right?”

”I was wrong!” Fatty lowered his head and rubbed his foot on the carpet.

Fiscella was waiting for Fatty’s defense, but hearing this almost left him breathless. Did Fatty think this was an elementary school or kindergarten?!

Fatty stole a glance at Fiscella’s ashen face, feeling very assured. Fundamentally, this battle plan had flaws. No matter what Fiscella’s intentions were in talking to him, he couldn’t possibly blow this up to a military court.

If that were the case, just openly debating the battle plan would leave Fiscella humiliated. Moreover, even if the six armored divisions of Feiyang were angry but did not dare to speak, Fiscella would never gamble with his own reputation. Besides, his identity as a member of the Leray Federation was something Fiscella couldn’t avoid!

At worst, demotion or stripping of rank, if a sentence were to be given, it would have to go through the Leray Federation. Everyone with sharp eyes knows how this battle was won. If it really blew up, it would definitely be a blow to Feiyang’s reputation! If the Western Alliance found out, who knows what kind of article they’d write.

Thinking about it, Fatty figured that Fiscella either didn’t like him and wanted to give him a hard time, or he wanted him gone. Ultimately, it’s just finding an excuse and pulling a cover-up.

Understanding this, Fatty couldn’t be bothered to drag this on further. He admitted his mistakes freely.

”You were wrong?!” It took Fiscella a while to catch his breath, and he asked in a bizarre tone. As long as Fatty confirmed, he would immediately jump up, loudly scolding that it wasn’t just a mistake, it was a crime!

”Then...” Fatty widened his eyes in surprise, cautiously looking at Fiscella, with a probing expression and said, ”I wasn’t wrong?”

Fiscella almost ground his teeth! He was about to slam the table but saw Fatty smiling and saying, ”General Fiscella, some things are better left unspoken. There’s no point in us dragging this further. Just state your demands directly.” As he said this, Fatty’s smile faded and turned into a sneer, ”For me, it’s just a punishment.”

Fiscella suddenly felt powerless. He realized that the seemingly foolish Fatty in front of him actually had already seen through his plans. He was never going to bring a hero to military court.

Looking at Fatty’s annoying grin, Fiscella instead gradually calmed down.

Fatty’s words were already very clear. Dragging this further would only be fruitless. For some reason, without needing to posture anymore, Feischilla felt relieved. He was honestly tired of being entangled with this Fatty. For him, as long as he achieved the goal of sending the Leray Federation troops out of Gazalin to gradually eliminate Leray’s influence on Gazalin, that was sufficient. There was no need to make it more complicated.

Since things were laid bare, Fiscella didn’t say anything more, he tried his best to stabilize his breathing, he opened a document on the desk, and casually said, ”Please have a seat, General Tian.”

Fatty impolitely plopped down on the sofa and, leaning forward, apologetically said, ”I’d rather stand. It’s my first time meeting the legendary great general, I must express my respect to you!”

It’s said flattery never fails, and hearing this, Fiscella’s expression softened a bit. However, he raised his head and saw the guy in front of him grinning fakely yet sitting comfortably on the sofa, where was the respect?

”Come bite me!” Fatty was provocatively thinking while displaying an extremely sincere stupid face looking at Fiscella.

Fiscella forced himself to lower his head, not to look at this Fatty with naive, hopeful eyes, and monotonously read out the document, ”Fei Alliance Joint Army Supreme Command Department General Political Department, Leray Federation Army General Political Department, regarding the disciplinary decision on the Fei Lai Joint Second Expeditionary Army New 19th Division’s division commander, Leray Federation Major General Tian Xingjian for unauthorized alterations to the battle plan, disobeying military orders... Removal from Mezrich Battlefield command, removal from the New 19th Division division commander position, cancellation of major general rank... Ordered to report to the Leray Federation Army Department within ten days of this decision’s issuance for further inspection...”

The decision was very long, the verbiage was grandiose, but the real content was just these.

After announcing it, Fiscella had Fatty sign it, and pretended to be generous by extending his hand, ”That’s it, you can pack up and return to Leray, goodbye.”

Fatty didn’t shake his hand, turned and left, muttering dirty words under his breath annoyingly without any elegance.

”Bang!” From Fiscella’s office came the sound of something hitting the wall.
