Chapter 481: Volume 5 Chapter 74 The Revenge of the Hunter Mecha Group

The Desic Army Seventh Armored Division always considers itself superior to others.

Their confidence comes from the battle achievements of this armored division and a regiment within the division.

The third-ranked Hunter Mecha Regiment in the Empire.

Just imagine, a mech regiment ranked third in the Empire is still under the designation of the Seventh Armored Division rather than existing independently as per usual practice. Anyone can understand how formidable this armored division is.

The Seventh Armored Division indeed stands strong, its battle achievements second only to the Royal Guard Armored Division, which is the Army First Armored Division of the Desic Royal Family. In the several major battles and countless skirmishes over several centuries in the Desic Empire, the Seventh Armored Division has always been a main force.

This division has suffered two major setbacks, the most tragic being when it was surrounded by six enemy armored divisions, and only one battalion managed to break out. Yet, no matter the setback, the Desic Empire rebuilt it without hesitation.

The reason for rebuilding is simple. The illustrious battle achievements of the Seventh Armored Division have long made her an indispensable part of the Desic military structure. This is a division with a solid tradition and formidable combat power, and it only knows one way to achieve victory: to crush the enemy head-on with unstoppable force!

Every Desic soldier knows that when the Seventh Armored Division is deployed, the situation has reached its critical point. Only this armored division, which fights like a warhammer, has such ferocious power to smash the enemy head-on.

Furthermore, transitioning from direct combat to pursuit battles swiftly is also the specialty of this armored division. Never has an enemy escaped from their grasp. All enemies they have crushed head-on are expunged during their pursuit and ambush.

The title of Hunter Mecha Regiment was earned in countless pursuit battles. And the Seventh Armored Division has more than just one Hunter Mecha Regiment. They also hold the title of ”War God’s Hammer.” The Ninth Generation Mecha ”Warhammer,” which took ten years and trillions to develop, is the highest honor of this division.

Each warrior of the Seventh Armored Division can confidently tell anyone that every collective medal hanging on the wall of their division commander’s office was earned with no discount at all!

Now, this elite armored division, which possesses the Hunter Mecha Regiment and two mecha regiments equipped with Eighth Generation Mechas, has already crossed the independent army area of Tanville’s northern region, advancing eastward in sync with the two Desic armored divisions that conquered Prisk. They are forming two converging attack arrows.

In the battle in the northern region of Tanville, the Seventh Armored Division did not participate at all; they merely stayed quietly away from the front line, allowing the two armored divisions of the Desic Air Landing Corps to slaughter back and forth among the desperate infantry of the Independent Army.

When the independent army’s defense line without armored support began to collapse, the Seventh Armored Division, under the leadership of Army Vice Admiral Ganis Tringer, crossed the Tanville North District. Aistrazzi’s Hunter Mecha Regiment led the way at the forefront of the Seventh Armored Division.

At this moment, the Seventh Armored Division is a force of revenge.

Across the human society network, whether military or civilian internet, a video occupies the top ten of the mecha observation rankings. This video shows a ragged ”Magic Beast” challenging the entire Hunter Mecha Regiment alone.

And this video actually came from Aistrazzi’s own hand, which is a disgrace. As a result, the entire Hunter Mecha Regiment and the Seventh Armored Division have been criticized within the Desic military circles.

Though his twin brother died at the hands of the opponent, from the bottom of his heart, Aistrazzi deeply admires the operator of that ”Magic Beast.” As a Level 9 Mecha Warrior, he understands how exhilarating and challenging that battle was.

However, himself being the contrasting foil to the opponent does not sit well with him. What elevates this discomfort to the level of humiliation is the news that the wrecked mecha that fell into the magnetic abyss did not perish! This news came from the other two Desic Armored Divisions humiliated by this ”Magic Beast” and the forces he led!

Though Vagim, the division commander of the stripped 137 Armored Division, did not get along with Aistrazzi, he was still an officer of the Desic Empire. The shame he suffered did not only affect him personally.

As the unrivaled overlord of the Southeast Star Region, the Desic Empire holds very traditional values. Their traditions not only reflect noble etiquette and national pride but also the honor of their military.

An elite armored force ranked top ten in human society, being manipulated one after another by the same individual from a small country, is intolerable for Desic soldiers with a strong sense of honor. For the Seventh Armored Division, the Hunter Mecha Regiment, and Aistrazzi, it is a deep-seated humiliation.

The information about the mecha warrior in ”Magic Beast” was easily obtained by the empire’s intelligence agents stationed in the Leray Federation.

This fat man named Tian Xingjian is too famous in the Leray Federation. After his spy career in Gazalin, the high command of the Leray Military Department seemed unwilling to keep him in the same position. They are unabashedly promoting all his achievements.

And the video of him holding off the entire Hunter Mecha Regiment has become the most direct and exhilarating part of these achievements! Leray youth unconditionally admire this hero who rose from a mere mechanic soldier. They dream of welcoming the hero back in cheers, meeting him, and paying him their respects.

The cohesion of the Leray Federation has never been stronger than now. Under the fat man’s posters, youth eagerly enlist, soldiers train hard. The young officers take this fat man, who has become the youngest general of the federation, as their role model.

Leray, a country mixed with peace, democracy, weakness, and luxury, has burst forth with such incredible power in the battlefield due to the top military and political leaders’ relentless promotion of this Leray hero, amplifying his experiences and achievements for propaganda.

Tringer and Aistrazzi, being well-informed about the Long Line Ridge battlefield intelligence, believe that on their eastward advance, they will definitely meet this man and the forces he leads.

No matter what happened before, no matter how legendary the person is, this time, it all comes to an end. The Seventh Armored Division will spare no effort to defeat this Leray Armored Force, turning every member of this force, including the ”Magic Beast,” into mere statistics on their battle record!

However, along the way, the Expeditionary Army Nineteenth Division, which constantly harasses and restrains around Prisk, seems to have forgotten that there is a rapidly advancing Desic armored force to their south. The Hunter Mecha Regiment has almost effortlessly reached the Farco Industrial Zone in northeast Tanville.

A dark green ”Warhammer” with a silver flame emblem stands on a small hill. Around it, the roaring mecha group is already fanned out, forming platoon-based attack formations, readying for deployment.

This is the vanguard unit of the Hunter Mecha Regiment’s First Battalion—over three hundred Ninth Generation ”Warhammers,” sixty Eighth Generation ”Royal Banner” medium mechas, twenty ”Tide” heavy mechas, and ten ”Backdrop” electronic mechas.

First Battalion Commander Rek looks at the Farco Industrial Zone through the long-range viewer on the mecha. Although not a Gazalin person, he has been to this industrial zone before. That was years ago when collaborating militarily with Gazalin. He had to supervise a part’s processing here for a mecha repair.

Now, this industrial zone, which once had over a hundred thousand workers and covered dozens of square kilometers, has become ruins. Numerous factory buildings have collapsed. Due to the loss of material supply in the residential area, the workers, with their families, have migrated. This place, where Stephen’s and the Independent Army’s control zones intersect, frequently erupts in battles; no one can continue to survive here.

Rek chuckles at the analysis report from ”Backdrop.” How could these old Leray Seventh Generation ”Warrior” mechas possibly hide from the ”Warhammer”? The Leray people must be desperate. Along the way, perhaps only the terrain of the Farco Industrial Zone could be used to launch a counterattack.

The entire Farco Industrial Zone looks like a giant maze of ruins and surviving factories, with Road No. 2 cutting through it. This artery veers east after crossing the small plain where the industrial zone is located, before hitting the northern mountains.

If the Leray people cannot delay the Seventh Armored Division here, they will have no chance further down the road.

Rek looks disdainfully at the small numbers on the analysis report: over two hundred ”Warriors,” dozens of ”Brilliance.” If this annihilation battle is not completed within an hour, it would be a disgrace to the vanguard First Battalion!
