Counterfeit Hero

Chapter 295: Volume 4 Chapter 49 Assassination_2

Otherwise, only doubling the power while consuming expensive alloys and massive energy is foolish if done on a large battlefield! You know, a weapons expert once said that using a hybrid alloy energy armor-piercing bullet is the most outrageous price-value mismatch in the world. It’s too expensive even to use one shell to kill an enemy general!

And among snipers, only the most seasoned snipers are qualified to use hybrid alloy energy armor-piercing bullets. Usually, the newbies can only obediently use their energy sniper cannons!

The value of sixteen hybrid alloy energy armor-piercing bullets makes Fatty feel the pinch just thinking about it.

If there were a place to sell these bullets, Fatty would have already sold these bullets that Milan painstakingly acquired!

Fortunately, these are strictly controlled military supplies. Fortunately, Fatty hasn’t found a buyer daring enough to purchase these bullets; otherwise, today, Fatty would have to settle for disrupting the enemy mecha’s leg drive system with energy bullets.

What annoys Fatty the most is that to take out a single [Warhammer], at least three hybrid alloy energy armor-piercing bullets are required. The time needed for three shots is enough for a mecha master to dodge calmly.

The Desic Hunter Mecha Group’s movement speed is getting faster and faster. Their formation is no longer the previous search formation. The mechas dispersed in units have begun to converge, forming a cautious marching formation and accelerating, while the number of mechas responsible for searching has significantly decreased. This situation indicates that they have obtained enough clues, poised and ready to enter high-speed pursuit.

They will not stop until they catch up with the enemy or lose the clues again.

By observing the movements of the Desic Mecha Group, Fatty has already selected a few valuable targets, especially the two dark green [Warhammer] mechas in the group. On the right arm of these two mechas is a golden flame mark, and the group’s movements seem to revolve entirely around these mechas.

Fatty believes that as long as he can take out these two mechas, the team will fall into chaos or madness.

[Logic] is hiding on a rock located to the left front of the Desic Empire Mecha Group’s direction of travel. On the right, there’s a shallow valley, the slopes of which are densely wooded, making it a natural passage. After the first phase of the ambush, Fatty has to drive [Logic] through the valley within five seconds to reach the end of the valley, a hundred meters away. There’s a ridge there, and he needs to climb up and move forward under the cover of the ridge’s crest to the Desic Mecha Group’s front. Five hundred meters away, there’s a vantage point, which will be Fatty’s second sniper point.

If everything goes well, by the time Fatty reaches the second sniper point, the Desic Armored Group, which had moved close in a defensive formation towards the first sniper point upon being attacked, would be exposed at close range under Fatty’s sniper cannon.

After the second ambush, Fatty will have no more places to hide and snipe. He’ll be relentlessly pursued by an entire group of mechas, madly running through this mountainous and wooded area!

Manually locking onto a [Warhammer] with a golden mark, Fatty wiped the sweat from his palm on his clothes and yanked off the tape from Bonnie’s mouth, saying earnestly, ”Damn it, I’m pretty nervous right now. If you want to survive, sing a song for me.”

This was a typical self-inflicted insult.

”Pah!” Bonnie spat fiercely and cursed, ”Die, you fat pig! In your dreams!”

Fatty laughed heartily, praising, ”Well sung!” Amid his laughter, he suddenly pulled the sniper cannon trigger on the mecha’s control lever.

”Boom!” As the energy sniper cannon let out a muffled boom, the shell accurately hit that [Warhammer] with the golden mark. The impact of the energy cannon caused the mecha to jolt in place. The energy impact turned the [Warhammer]’s energy shield into a faint red, and the metal bullet penetrated the shield, shattering and exploding the chest’s external armor, peeling off a large piece of armor.

The Desic Mecha Group, just entering pursuit mode, was at its most unguarded moment. All traces indicated that the fleeing team had already left the area. They did not anticipate that someone had set up an ambush and conducted sniping as they were closing formation and entering high-speed pursuit.

”Boom!” While the flash of the first shell’s explosion had not yet dissipated, a second metal bullet quickly followed and again hit the stunned [Warhammer]. Same position, same explosion. The [Warhammer]’s energy shield rapidly turned dark red, and without the protection of the external armor, the mecha’s alloy body was directly hit by the metal bullet, causing a massive explosion that opened a gaping hole in the body.

This [Warhammer], like a deer under attack, after a brief moment of daze and impact, suddenly recovered, kicked off, and surged forward with immense propulsion. Ahead of it were three wedge-shaped [Royal Banner] medium-sized mechas. If it could dart into the gap between the three medium mechas, its comrades could cover it.

At this moment, the entire mecha group reacted. The foremost [Tide] heavy mecha opened fire first, followed by several mechas firing simultaneously. Although they couldn’t yet identify the exact sniper point, their extensive war experience quickly prompted them to retaliate, unleashing ferocious blindfire towards the general direction of the sniper cannon fire.
