Counterfeit Hero

Chapter 291: After modification: Volume 4, Chapter 48, Fighting Alone

Through the mecha’s long-range viewer, it was clear that this was a mecha force unmistakably identifiable as belonging to the Desic Empire, in terms of both insignia and mecha types.

There was no need to question why they could appear here in such a short time. They must have set off from the Western Alliance’s military cooperation base in the outer space of Little Pyrenees. With someone pointing out the direction for them, they could reach any desired location within a dozen hours.

This mecha force was only the size of a regiment, but for the Mixed Army led by Fatty, there couldn’t be worse news. Fatty knew that in a direct confrontation, his unit would never stand a chance against the enemy.

The Desic Empire was a medium to large country, far surpassing the Gazalin Empire and the Leray Federation in both economic strength and technological level. Especially with the Empire’s military-first ideology, they poured all their efforts into transforming tech into combat power. Therefore, the Desic Empire Army’s military equipment was significantly superior to that of the two medium-sized countries.

Just looking at the mechas in this unit showed how vast the disparity was.

[Warhammer], the Desic Empire’s current standard mecha, developed by the Empire’s super military enterprise, Locke Mecha Company, belongs to the Ninth Generation Mecha. It’s a single soldier operated, extremely powerful mecha. The Energy Cannon, after solving the barrel strength issue, fires extremely fast. Coupled with its advanced fire control system and mechanical computer, it can directly confront and even suppress the Leray Federation’s [Honor 15] medium-sized mecha.

[Warhammer] is equipped with new external armor and a high-powered energy shield, with a defense capability superior to Gazalin Empire’s [Three-headed Dog] mecha and on par with Leray Federation’s [Honor 15] medium-sized mecha. Its unique engine system, with its large-capacity energy supply system, supports long-distance travel and combat for the mecha.

More importantly, as the new standard mecha of the Desic Empire, [Warhammer] fully integrates the advantages of both long-range and close-quarters combat. It has explosive power, super speed, a compact and sturdy humanoid structure, and excelled in almost all terrain combat tests. Its oversized, muscular arms equipped with a shield on the left and an axe on the right display incredible strength.

As a single soldier mecha developed by a medium to large country, [Warhammer] took a decade to develop. Its electronic and drive systems were guided by the Binart Empire. Since its successful development, it has joined the ranks of the Ninth Generation Mecha. Even though it ranks in the middle-lower tier of the 9th Generation Single Soldier Mecha, it still stands at the pinnacle in this galaxy, especially holding a crushing advantage over the Leray Federation’s 7th Generation [Warrior Leader] mecha.

Meanwhile, the Gazalin Empire spent a fortune to fully equip the Mythical Army with [Vajra]. However, even after modifications by Tian Xingjian, enhancing its level by half a grade, it barely counts as an Eighth Generation Mecha. If both sides’ controllers had equal technical skills and experience, [Vajra] would hardly have a chance of winning against [Warhammer].

Besides the [Warhammer], this Desic mecha unit also included fifty-six [Royal Banner] Eighth Generation medium-sized mechas, six [Tide] Eighth Generation heavy mechas, and six [Backdrop] Eighth Generation electronic attack mechas. All these mechas were standard-issue, field-tested, and highly reliable in performance.

The classification of mechas has very strict regulations. Internationally, there are specific parameters for every aspect of private and military mechas. Each generation of mechas attracts worldwide attention. A new generation of mecha is named only when its appearance, structure, drive system, transmission, engine, electronics, radar, fire control system, tracking system, and camouflage system all present an overwhelming advantage over the previous generation.

Thus, the gap between each generation of mechas is evident. It’s not just about enhancement in one aspect; everything from the mecha platform to all its equipment is vastly superior in every way. This is a gap that no amount of modification can bridge!

Fatty now felt painfully aware of this glaring disparity. His attempt to use frequency-modulated analytical waves for structural analysis was blocked by these mechas! It was frustrating. As the highest-class non-mass-produced mecha of the Leray Federation experimental lab, [Logic] couldn’t scan or analyze the enemy’s mechas. It must be noted that [Logic] is virtually the crystallization of the Federation’s highest technology!

In terms of [Logic]’s transformation capabilities and biological dual-state metal properties, Fatty confidently believed that [Logic] was unrivaled in all human technology. However, he also understood that due to the technological gap, [Logic] had no other advantages!

Perhaps Milan’s ship-borrowed miniaturized electronic attack, radar, and self-developed camouflage and stealth systems could match [Warhammer]. However, the Federation’s military technology in mecha weaponry, engines, mechanical computers, drive and transmission systems, fire control, and other aspects could not compare to the Desic Empire.

Fatty felt distressed. Without the enemy mecha’s structural details, [Logic] couldn’t transform, and he lost his most adept attack method. He could no longer infiltrate the enemy ranks to stir trouble and stage sneak attacks. This was the most terrifying scenario for him.
