Armed Train in the Apocalypse

This pure physical struggle, even Su Huan’s ”general energy perception” couldn’t detect any change.

Let alone the rest of them.

However, they didn’t have to wait long.

”I lost.”

He Jie suddenly said with a sigh.

As they released their grip, sweat poured from He’s entire body like rain, running down his forehead into his collar, with wisps of white steam rising.

Even the hand he had behind his back was clenched into a fist, trembling slightly.

Turning back to look at Liang Kuan, his face remained unmoved, only his muscles were slightly swollen, stretching his eternal T-shirt.

Because of the long rain in the Acid Rain Zone, the temperature was not high, remaining around 18°C.

The heat emitted by the two of them raised the room’s temperature noticeably.

Seeing the result, Director Xu couldn’t help but walk in front of Liang Kuan, his eyes bright.

”Does this count as transcending tiers?” Lin Jin swallowed and asked, unable to hide the shock in his eyes.

From the display of strength just now, both He Jie and Liang Kuan could easily crush him with pure strength alone.

Especially the latter, he had no doubt he could be squeezed into a pulp.

He thought he had worked hard enough, never expecting Liang Kuan, who always quietly drove, to possess such power.

”It does... and it doesn’t.” Su Huan squinted.

Liang Kuan’s talent for strength also exceeded his expectations.

Could he be another SSR?

”Director Xu should be familiar with the concept of basic attributes, right?”

A few elite soldiers from Mountain Goat suddenly realized.

The rest looked back at Director Xu, not understanding the mystery between the two of them.

”Measuring basic attributes is complex, and detailed testing is only done during experiments. Training can slightly improve them, basic serum can raise them a level, but when you reach a major node, you hit a bottleneck, and no amount of training can advance you further. The first node is the barrier between ordinary people and evolvers.”

”These data can be compared to athletes’ data from the pre-apocalyptic world. No matter how you try, without external aids, it’s impossible to cross this barrier. It’s like the 9.58 seconds in the hundred meters; even if latecomers work hard, it’s just a few decimal point shifts because the contraction limit of human muscle fibers is 9.40.”

”Only evolvers can break this barrier. There’s still a gap in basic attributes between ordinary evolvers and Tier One Evolvers. I measured these nodes and datafied them, like the unrated...”

Seeing the confusion on some people’s faces and Director Xu droning on, Su Huan interrupted by waving his hand, ”In other words, there are two standards for measuring an evolver’s strength: one is basic attributes, and the other is ability strengths. Liang Kuan’s basic attributes are strong, which is why he can overpower He Jie.”

”There are ten dimensions to basic attributes: strength, speed, defense, endurance, constitution, total energy, energy intensity, fine control, duration, and energy immunity.”

”Similar to skills, tier three is Tier One; He Jie is around tier four in strength, just a notch above a newly ascended ’Defender’.”

”Liang Kuan’s strength is roughly... around tier five.” Su Huan considered for a moment and gave an accurate judgment based on experience, ”Near the basic strength of a Tier Two ’Defender.’ In pure power contests, Liang Kuan is the strongest among us all.”

”But just grasp these things, combat relies on brains, mindset, and tactics. Even if the opponent’s strength far exceeds yours, they would still be blown apart by a 14.5mm hit.”

The crowd had various expressions as they looked at Su Huan eloquently speaking.

It seemed he noticed the crowd’s confusion, and Su Huan casually shared his attributes, ”My strength attribute is slightly above tier four, not quite tier five, because I have dual-field stacking. Tier One ’Fighting Master’ gave me tier three strength, and Tier One ’Energy Storage Core’ added very little, just enough to stack another tier after so many evolutions.”

Lin Jin looked at Liang Kuan, then at Su Huan, suddenly thought—

’What if it’s not a power contest?’

Xiaozhao voiced the question for him, ”In that case, the highest attribute for the train conductor should be total energy, right?”

”Yes, of course.”

Su Huan nodded with a smile.

These researchers quickly grasp new concepts. Professor Ma, Vice President Deng, and the others should have also understood, just being older and more prudent, and they wouldn’t rashly ask such questions.

Su Huan didn’t plan to disclose how much energy he had.

But honestly, with such a massive amount of energy, without professional measuring equipment, it would be difficult for him to estimate it himself.

The ”Energy Storage Core” itself is a profession known for its energy capacity.

Just upon advancing, the total energy exceeded a Tier One ’Electromagnetic Mage’ threefold, though it wasn’t as exaggerated as the previously speculated tier six or two, but it was tier four, and now approaching Tier Two ’Circulating Vortex,’ the energy within has increased manyfold.

Tier six?

Tier seven?

The amount is too vast to say accurately.

Any slight error could equate to an entire Lin Jin.

Frankly speaking, the total energy of everyone present, including Jiang Rong and other ’Power Suppliers,’ combined doesn’t match half of his.

As evolution progresses, individual differences become more pronounced.

Like a chasm.

Thus, while a Tier Three evolver can barely be killed with heat weapons, beyond Tier Three, technology and numbers can no longer bridge that gap.

Technology can only serve as an auxiliary to evolution.

Only high-tier evolvers can confront other high-tier evolvers; this has already become a consensus.
