Armed Train in the Apocalypse

Apart from simple physical training, as the first batch of officers of the Armed Corps, the most important aspect is military theoretical studies and tactical command training.

Usually, He Jie lectures in person, with Licking Rabbit supplementing.

If He Jie is absent, then Licking Rabbit takes the lead. Don’t be fooled by his peculiar codename; the deputy commander title is no joke.

In the Steel Council, his status is equivalent to being He Jie’s assistant. If the main commander dies in battle or leaves, he can take over battlefield command, with authority greater than other five team captains.

Among the captured prisoners, he holds the highest status after He Jie, even surpassing Su Huan’s old superior, Qu Hang, in rank.

An entire hour is almost a high-density knowledge infusion.

Thankfully, everyone here is an Evolver, with comprehension and memory far exceeding ordinary people.

Like Lin Jin, who would even absorb a Pan-energy Crystal while listening to the lecture.

Halfway through the lecture, the conductor with arms folded walked in, casually sitting in the back, listening quietly, occasionally jotting something down in a notebook.

Licking Rabbit, who was lecturing, swallowed nervously at this sight.

Suddenly, a clamor of footsteps was heard outside, which abruptly disappeared a moment later. He Jie pushed the door open and walked in, paused upon seeing Su Huan in the back row, then pulled out the chair beside him.

Just as he sat down, there was a faint inquiry, ”Finished screening the base personnel?”

He Jie wiped the rain from his forehead, ”It’ll take a few more days. These two days are just for a simple selection of people. Whether they’re suitable requires post-training field evaluation.”

”Can it be supplemented to five hundred?”

Su Huan asked.

He Jie hesitated for a moment and replied, ”It’s difficult. The base personnel are generally older, and not that many may be screened out. Plus, the personnel selected at the station before were temporary; many actually don’t meet the standards.”

”I see.” The words on the white screen reflected in Su Huan’s eyes, ”Quality over quantity. Don’t hesitate to discard those few ordinary Pan-energy Crystals. If they’re not qualified, even as Evolvers, they need to be screened out. Then put the officers in for joint training. Anyone who lets down the team will be handed over to me for personal training.”

He Jie heard these words and grinned.

This was tantamount to Su Huan personally handing him an Imperial Sword.

The armed train was practically Su Huan’s domain, with authority even more solid than an emperor of old.

After all, an emperor doesn’t have the ability to chop down rebels and command an army in a fit of anger.

But the conductor does.

From the front of the train to the back, probably without even taking a breath.

Now the pressure Su Huan gives is increasingly terrifying. If he hadn’t asked just yesterday, he would suspect the other had already entered Tier Two.

Su Huan circled a note on training in his notebook for now.

Currently, his ”Energy Storage Core” skills have all reached Level 5, and he’s just one step away from Tier Two.

To avoid advancing too quickly and consuming life force, he has to slow down his progress a bit.

His second profession, ”Fighting Master,” main skill ”Battle Factor” has already shot up to Level 4, with the remaining ”Combat Specialization” and ”Supersonic Nerves” elevated to Level 3.

Without using internal energy, he can overpower He Jie with his bare hands.

His own strength isn’t something to worry about, allowing him to focus more energy on train upgrades and power building.

Professor Ma, Director Xu, Yu Jing, Wan Xing, Huang Sea, and other research personnel started arriving in the room one after another.

Glancing around, all the senior members of the armed train were present, including all conductors and Armed Corps officers.

This included Wan Hao and Old Yuan, the two acting and vice station chiefs of Shun’an Station.

The factory director, Vice President Deng, and another old expert were also present.

Because next, Su Huan was going to lecture on evolutionary abilities.

No one wanted to miss the opportunity to enhance their strength.

Licking Rabbit finished his last few words, directing his gaze towards Su Huan at the back, and everyone silently turned their chairs to face the conductor.

Su Huan quietly glanced around. Now, every member of the armed train was an Evolver, needless to say.

But there were only seven Tier One Evolvers, including Lin Xi.

In order of evolutionary progress, they were Su Huan, Lin Xi, He Jie, Lin Jin, Xiaoba, Qu Hang, and Yu Yue.

Because Yu Yue’s abilities were many and had just evolved, he ranked last.

The others were currently stuck at the threshold of Tier One.

According to Su Huan’s experience, most who wanted to break through Tier One would do so a year and a half after the apocalypse, with ”ordinary” Tier One Evolvers emerging in large numbers during the second year.

Aside from major powers like Gunfire, by the time the Steel Council developed its system of Evolvers, it was already three years into the apocalypse.

However, if trends continue like this,

maybe beyond the Xuanhuang, Gospel systems, there might be an additional train system.

Su Huan lightly clicked his tongue, ending his musings, ”I don’t know what to say. Does anyone have any questions?”

In the crowd, Lu Xiao’s expression shifted slightly, but after glancing at those around him, he held back.

He prepared to ask two questions later.

”Does fighting make evolution quicker?”

A clear voice tinged with curiosity came from the corner.

Su Huan looked up to see Yu Jing standing in the corner, wearing extremely tight, high-elastic denim jeans on the lower body, with a large conspicuous exoskeleton over it outlining her slender legs vividly.

She wore a sleeveless white shirt on top, with her pale arms crossed, frowning slightly.

”That’s a tricky question.” Su Huan scratched his chin.

If it were the past, he would have answered yes without hesitation.
